Mingyao was feeling very uneasy.

She looked back and raised her eyes to look at Pei Siyu sitting in the driver's seat.

Mingyao smiled at Pei Siyu, feigning composure, "President Pei, what's wrong?"
Pei Siyu did not answer, looked away, and continued driving.
Mingyao's heart was pounding as she carefully examined Pei Siyu's profile, worried that he might have noticed something amiss.
Probably not.
She secretly exhaled a breath of stale air.
Upon arriving at the Pei family mansion, Pei Siyu was the first to get out of the car.
Just as Mingyao was about to get off the car, she caught a glimpse of a flash of white light out of the corner of her eye.
She had just stepped out of the car when she froze on the spot.
Was that a camera flash?
Mingyao stared at the direction from which the flash came from for a long time, but couldn't see anything unusual.
Was it her imagination? Or was someone really lurking in the shadows, watching her and Pei Siyu like prey?
Pei Siyu saw Mingyao sitting in the car in a daze and snorted, "What's wrong?"
"President Pei, I think I saw a flash."
"Won't someone be taking pictures nearby?"
Mingyao expressed her concerns.
Pei Siyu narrowed his eyes, his face still turned towards Mingyao, but his peripheral vision was drawn to the darkness that Mingyao was looking at.
Night had fallen, and there were no residential areas near the Pei family mansion, nor were the lights in the mansion's garden enough to illuminate the road.
"Come down first."
To avoid being photographed, Mingyao covered her head with her coat, crouched down, and hid beside Pei Siyu as she returned to the Pei family mansion.
Meanwhile, inside the car.
Guo Xiaorong angrily slammed her fist on the steering wheel, nearly smashing her phone in the process.
"What a piece of trash!"
My phone turned on its flash by itself in the dark!
Just when we finally saw Pei Siyu and his wife returning home late at night, the camera ran out of battery.
When I took the photo with my phone, the flash was still on by default.
She almost got the shot!
Guo Xiaorong was furious.
Pei Siyu and his wife must have noticed the flash of the phone's flash just now.

Guo Xiaorong waited for half an hour on the small road outside the Pei family mansion before driving away.
Pei Siyu stood in the study, looking down at the departing car with a cold expression.
Ten minutes later, the assistant sent Guo Xiaorong's detailed information.
"Guo Xiaorong, 26 years old, is an entertainment reporter for Caixing Media. She likes to spread rumors and is obsessed with breaking big news. She is also fixated on the position of editor-in-chief."
"It's worth mentioning that she was the one who broke the news about CEO Pei and Xia Kexing a while ago."
"If it weren't for Mr. Pei's mother's quick reaction, it would probably have spread online by now."
The assistant then reported on Zhou Shuya's situation, and she was forced to confess under torture, revealing the mastermind behind it all.
"President Pei, what should we do with Zhou Shuya?"
Pei Siyu flipped through Guo Xiaorong's file and said casually, "Beat him to the point of near death and send him to Madam Pei."
Pei Siyu looked at Guo Xiaorong, who had her hair tied in a ponytail and wore black-rimmed glasses, on the iPad and smiled strangely: "Mrs. Pei has gone to great lengths for me and Su Xueya. Shouldn't we give her some gifts in return?"
The assistant on the other end of the phone shuddered. If we're talking about ruthlessness, Pei Siyu is the most ruthless.
A knocking sound came from the door.
Pei Siyu put down the iPad and said coldly, "Come in."
Mingyao timidly opened the heavy door, revealing a pair of bright, doe-like eyes. "President Pei, I've come to bring you milk."
She came in wearing a silk slip dress and carrying a glass of milk.
Pei Siyu frowned slightly, his burning gaze sweeping over Ming Yao's slender white neck and delicate collarbone.
After putting down the milk, Mingyao took two steps back.
She stood there awkwardly, brushed a stray hair behind her ear, and said in a crisp voice, "Mr. Pei, thank you for saving me today."
"If you hadn't arrived in time, I'm afraid I would have..."
She murmured, and two tears fell at just the right moment.
Pei Siyu, feeling restless, took two steps closer to Mingyao.
The scent of mint filled her nostrils, and Mingyao shivered, looking fearfully at Pei Siyu who was so close to her.
She was startled, as if she had been startled herself, her eyes wide open.
"Master Pei..."
She asked, completely bewildered, "What's wrong?"
Pei Siyu's cold and oppressive gaze moved down from Ming Yao's face and eventually landed on her snow-white, heaving chest.
"Su Xueya, are you seducing me?"
"ah?"
Mingyao's face turned pale, and she said timidly, "Master Pei, I didn't."
She took two steps back in fear, looking at him with a wronged expression. "I just came to deliver milk and to thank President Pei."
"I……"
Before he finished speaking, his wrist tightened.
Mingyao's heart skipped a beat, and when she looked up, she met Pei Siyu's eyes, which were filled with unquenchable desire.
Is he really going to do this?
Mingyao wasn't opposed to it; she just hoped he could be a little gentler.
