Chapter 134 Rescue

She was afraid.

I'm really afraid Pei Siyu will lose his temper.

Mingyao clenched her fists, her heart pounding like a drum.

At that moment, she sat in the taxi, feeling extremely uncomfortable.

Having been with Pei Siyu for so long, she had gone to great lengths to win his favor.

Don't let Pei Siyu start to dislike her because she refuses to answer the phone.

Mingyao grew increasingly frightened as she thought about it, her heart pounding so hard it felt like it was about to leap out of her constricted chest.

Just as Mingyao was trying to figure out a way to deal with Pei Siyu, the colorful neon lights of a roadside bar shone on the car window.

Mingyao glanced at the bar out of the corner of her eye.

Just then, three men and one woman walked out of the bar.

The woman walked ahead, swaying unsteadily, her steps unsteady, as if she would fall to the ground at any moment.

The three men walked behind, staring at the unsteady woman in front of them with ill intent.

Mingyao's heart jumped; these men were clearly after that girl.

The car was parked on the side of the road waiting for the traffic light, and Mingyao watched helplessly as several men caught up with the girl.

The girl resisted the men, constantly pushing and shoving them, trying to distance herself from them.

The three men ignored the woman's resistance, put their arms around her shoulders, and walked into a deserted alley.

The woman was completely drunk and no match for the men.

She was like a catfish on a chopping board, at the mercy of these men.

Mingyao watched the woman and the thugs disappear into the distance, her heart pounding.

The green light came on, and the driver prepared to start the car.

"etc."

Mingyao simply couldn't bear to watch a girl being bullied by a few thugs.

The driver, not understanding why, still stopped the car.

Mingyao said, "I can pay more, please wait here for a moment."

"If I don't come out in ten minutes, call the police immediately."

After saying that, Mingyao handed the driver a red bill.

The driver nodded vigorously, parked the car on the side of the road, and watched Mingyao head into the alley.

The driver glanced at the time and sighed, "These young people nowadays really have a strong sense of justice."

Mingyao held her breath and hurried to the alley.

Faintly, she could hear sobbing coming from the end of the alley.

Mingyao's heart leaped into her throat. She curled her palms, bit her lower lip, and tiptoed, following the sound as quickly as possible.

"Why are you crying? We brothers are very gentle, we won't hurt you."

"You come to bars all day just to pick up rich guys, right? We've got plenty of money, whatever you want, we can give you as much as you want."

A greasy male voice came through, accompanied by a woman's pleading.

"Waaah, please let me go!"

"I'm not interested in your money."

Her eyes were filled with tears, and her face was scrunched up like a bitter gourd.

The man, however, had no intention of letting the woman go, and said with a sinister smile, "What? You think we're not rich enough?"

The girl trembled with fear. "Big brother, no, I, I... I just came to drink, I didn't mean anything by it."

"And what you're doing is illegal!"

I will call the police!

The girl gripped her phone tightly, ready to contact the police.

The thugs weren't about to give her that chance. They raised their hands and slapped her phone away.

Before the girl could react and pick up her phone, the man sneered and stepped on it.

"Still want to contact the police?"

"Haha, go ahead and contact them, feel free to contact them."

The tallest thug grabbed the girl's chin, forcing her to tilt her head back, and sneered, "You can call for help too."

"Keep yelling, no one will come to help you even if you yell until you're hoarse."

The man's arrogant laughter sounded particularly jarring in the quiet alley.

Mingyao held her breath and stopped about fifty meters away from the thugs.

She hid behind a trash can, took out her phone, and found a recording of a police siren.

The crisp sound of a police siren immediately echoed through the alley, and several men shuddered as if they had been electrocuted upon hearing the sound.

They were terrified and ran away without looking back, not daring to linger.

After the group had completely disappeared from sight, Mingyao stepped forward and quickly helped the woman who was cowering in the corner to her feet.

The woman looked up at Mingyao, still shaken.

She stared at Mingyao for a long time before stammering, "Did you save me?"

Mingyao comforted her softly, "Don't be afraid, I'll take you away from here, they've already run away."

The woman bit her lip, tears streaming down her face.

She nestled in Mingyao's arms, thanking her repeatedly.

"Thank you so much, sister. If it weren't for you, I'm afraid I would..."

Mingyao told the woman not to speak yet, to conserve her energy.

Just as Mingyao was helping the woman out of the alley, the three thugs turned back.

When they saw Mingyao, their eyes flashed with malice.

"How dare they use a fake alarm to scare us!"

The man in the lead scanned Mingyao up and down with eyes like a hungry wolf, his gaze sharp as if he wanted to scrape the flesh off her body.

He rubbed his chin, his smile becoming increasingly greasy.

"Tsk tsk, I didn't expect you to be so beautiful."

The men exchanged glances and laughed smugly. "Tonight, we're in for a treat."

The man took a step closer. Mingyao gritted her teeth, stared at him calmly, and pulled the woman back.

"You'd better not do anything rash, I've already called the police!"

She had already told the taxi driver that if she didn't come out in ten minutes, the taxi driver would call the police.

Now, with only two or three minutes left out of the ten-minute mark, there are only ten minutes left.
