Chapter 170 You're a Bedbug

The opponent was too fast, and before Mingyao could react, a stone was thrown and hit her on the forehead.

A buzzing sound exploded in Mingyao's ears, and she felt a slippery liquid flowing down her forehead.

Mingyao's vision blurred, and she swayed unsteadily.

She instinctively raised her hand to touch the ground where the stone had hit, and felt a chill on her hand.

She stared blankly at the scarlet mark on her hand, then pulled out the air conditioner, and the strong smell of rust assaulted her senses.

"May you die a horrible death!" Pei Siyu cursed angrily, raising his foot and kicking the person charging at him hard.

He stepped aside, blocking Mingyao's path to protect the person behind her, and shouted angrily, "Arrest her!"

Pei Siyu's roar pulled Mingyao back from her daze. She composed herself and looked up at Pei Siyu's back.

For some reason, she suddenly felt that Pei Siyu's body was very tall, like a towering mountain.

"Mr. Pei, thank you."

Mingyao's head still hurts a little, but it's much better than before.

Fortunately, the stone wasn't too big, otherwise she would have gotten a hole in her head.

She picked up the blood-stained pebble from the ground, looked at the woman rolling on the ground, and a chill rose in Mingyao's eyes.

The bodyguards quickly subdued the woman.

The woman kept writhing her body as if trying to expel insects, constantly shouting curses.

"Su Xueya, why did you lie to me!"

Ni An had her bodyguards forcibly pin her to the ground, glaring at Ming Yao with eyes blazing with fury, "I treated you like a friend, and you've been deceiving me like I'm a fool all this time!"

Her hair was disheveled, and her clothes were deformed from being pulled by the bodyguards as she struggled.

What chilled Mingyao the most was Ni An's bloodshot eyes.

Her eyes were filled with hatred and resentment; anyone who didn't know better would think that Mingyao had some deep-seated grudge against her.

But they were friends not long ago.

Mingyao laughed self-deprecatingly.

She's so blind to have become friends with such a madman.

Ni An didn't even leave her with the last bit of hope.

“Ni An, I have never lied to you about anything.”

She answered Ni An's question calmly, without the slightest ripple on her face.

Ni An didn't believe Ming Yao's story at all and burst into laughter, "That sounds so high-sounding!"

"You keep saying you're not lying to me, but why is your husband Pei Siyu?"

"You've been having affairs at the company, and I've always protected you, but you've kept this huge secret from me."

Faced with Ni An's accusations, Ming Yao almost laughed out of anger.

"Hooking up with other women?"

"Always protecting me?" She couldn't help but chuckle. "Ni An, when did I ever flirt with other people at the company?"

"Or perhaps," she paused, her heart clenching in that instant, her voice trembling slightly, "that in your heart, I should be able to deceive other people's feelings with my looks?"

Ni An chuckled: "Isn't that right?"

"That's how I got here, so why are you so clean? Why did you marry such a good husband?!"

Ni An's voice became even sharper, as if she was venting all the grievances and dissatisfaction she had accumulated over the years.

But what do her experiences have to do with Mingyao?

She chose her own path, and she did all the morally reprehensible things herself.

Why did Ni An so brazenly shift all the blame onto her?

Mingyao suddenly thought of something, and smiled with a hint of mockery: "Ni An, when you first became friends with me, did you think we were the same kind of people?"

"Isn't that so?"

"Su Xueya, do you think you're any more noble than me?"

"You look down on me for seducing men, but didn't you also rise to power by relying on men?"

"If you hadn't married a good husband, you'd be a bedbug just like me now!"

Ni An's face was contorted with rage, and the cold glint in his scarlet eyes was like a knife, as if he wanted to pierce Ming Yao's heart with a thousand arrows.

I see.

No wonder Ni An was so close to her at first; it turns out Ni An thought they were the same kind of people.

Mingyao sighed and laughed self-deprecatingly.

Having lived two lifetimes, I've finally seen it all come to an end.

Thinking about it this way, Ni An is really pitiful.

She looked down at Ni An from her high position, her eyes filled with pity.

In a way, Ni An is also a pitiful person.

She ruined her own life and wanted to ruin someone else's.

There's always a reason why someone is pitiful.

Mingyao pities Ni An, but also despises her intensely.

She has no ability to redeem others; if Ni An wants to remain mud, then so be it.

“Ni An, you and I have never been the same.”

"You're jealous of me and want to destroy me, but unfortunately, I'm sorry to tell you, you can't do anything about it."

"From now on, you and I will be worlds apart."

Mingyao took two steps closer, a mocking smile appearing on her face.

These words successfully provoked Ni An.

She started screaming like a madwoman: "Su Xueya, you're just like me, you're just like me!"

Mingyao faced Pei Siyu, looking frightened and terrified: "President Pei, she's so scary, please take her away quickly."

Pei Siyu narrowed his eyes slightly, and a smile appeared on his face.

He gave his bodyguard a look, and the bodyguard immediately understood and led the group away.

Soon, Mingyao felt much quieter around her.

If she had known Ni An was like this, she wouldn't have had much contact with her.

Just as Mingyao was lost in thought, the scent of mint wafted around her nose.

Mingyao snapped out of her thoughts and belatedly realized that Pei Siyu was already standing in front of her.

Mingyao's pupils contracted, and her gaze toward Pei Siyu held a hint of surprise.
