If you can't afford to offend them, can't you at least avoid them?
Mingyao obediently repeated it again.
Pei Siyu pressed down on Mingyao like a bloodthirsty beast.
After a whole night of fussing, by the time Mingyao woke up, the sun was already high in the sky.
She instinctively reached to the side, only to find it was already ice cold.
Mingyao tried to get up, but her body felt like it was falling apart, and even her bones ached.
The ambiguous marks all over her body reminded Mingyao of the madness of last night.
She quickly lifted the blanket, but there was no blood on the bed.
Mingyao clutched her stomach, her heart pounding with anxiety.
"woke up?"
Pei Siyu's gentle voice rang out, startling Mingyao: "You didn't go to the company?"
"Okay, get up and have breakfast first."
Mingyao got off the bed shakily.
Stepping on the ground felt like stepping on cotton, and my legs were sore and weak.
Pei Siyu is a madman.
He was busy all day, yet he still had the energy to take advantage of her at night.
Just as she was complaining in her heart, Mingyao's body was suddenly lifted into the air.
Startled, she instinctively reached for something to hold onto, but instead grabbed Pei Siyu's collar.
"I'll carry you there."
Mingyao blushed and said, "No need, I can walk by myself."
He ignored her and carried her to the living room.
"I haven't washed up yet..."
Pei Siyu then carried Mingyao to the bathroom and personally washed her face and brushed her teeth.
This was the first time Mingyao had been taken care of like this, and she was a little at a loss.
Once they reached the restaurant, Mingyao didn't step out of bed again.
The table was already set with congee with preserved egg and lean pork, shrimp dumplings, and two small dishes of stir-fried vegetables that weren't very oily.
"Isn't it just the two of us left at home?"
Pei Siyu picked up a shrimp dumpling and brought it to Mingyao's lips, gave a faint "hmm," and said leisurely, "I made these dishes."
Mingyao put a shrimp dumpling in her mouth and exclaimed in surprise, "You can actually cook!"
He chuckled softly, "There are many things I can do, you just don't know them."
Mingyao rested her chin on her hands and said with a smile, "You have to show me everything you can do in the future."
Her smile froze the moment she took a bite of the shrimp dumpling.
Pei Siyu frowned: "What's wrong?"
Mingyao covered her mouth and rushed to the bathroom without looking back, retching into the toilet.
The shrimp's freshness turned into an earthy taste in her mouth, making her stomach churn.
It's over.
The child is still alive!
Mingyao slumped to the ground, clutching her stomach in a daze.
Pei Siyu followed closely behind, holding a tissue, and asked worriedly, "Are you alright?"
His care and gentleness left Mingyao speechless.
She smiled wryly to cover it up: "I don't have much of an appetite, it's nothing."
"You should go to the hospital for a checkup."
Pei Siyu said solemnly.
"It's really nothing."
As soon as he finished speaking, Pei Siyu picked Mingyao up.
Mingyao's heart pounded like a drum, and she said in a panic, "Really, it's not necessary!"
Once she went to the hospital, her pregnancy was exposed!
Pei Siyu ignored her words and put her directly in the back seat.
The noise of the hospital made Mingyao feel extremely uneasy, and the smell of disinfectant terrified her more than ever before.
"Honey, I need to go to the bathroom first."
Mingyao locked herself in the cubicle. "What should I do?"
She was anxious. Even if she wanted to run away, Pei Siyu was guarding the door, so there was no way for her to escape.
Oh, right.
Mingyao's eyes lit up, and she quickly called Chao Muxue.
Since we were at the Central Hospital, we could only ask her or Wang Zhouheng for help.
A greeting came from the other end of the phone: "Miss Su, is there something you need?"
Mingyao said urgently, "Dr. Chao, I need to ask you for a favor."
After listening to Mingyao's words, Chao Muxue said gravely, "If a falsified medical report is discovered, the consequences will be severe."
"I know."
"I really have no other choice, I can't let him know I'm pregnant."
After a moment of silence, Chao Muxue nodded and said, "I'll help you."
Mingyao's heart, which had been hanging in suspense, suddenly settled down, and she expressed her gratitude repeatedly.
Pei Siyu's worried voice came from outside the bathroom. Mingyao walked out with a dry laugh: "I have a bit of diarrhea."
Pei Siyu seemed to realize something and took Mingyao for a gynecological examination.
Upon seeing the unfamiliar doctor, Mingyao pretended to be calm and walked in.
After Pei Siyu left, the doctor who was sitting in his seat stood up and looked to the side.
Mingyao belatedly noticed Chaomu Xue standing behind the curtain.
Her face lit up with joy: "Chao Muxue, thank you for your trouble."
Chao Muxue sighed: "Su Xueya, are you sure you want to keep this from him?"
Mingyao nodded firmly. "Why?" Chao Muxue asked in return.
"From what I've observed, you and Pei Siyu have a very good relationship."
“I can also see that he really wants a child, and you,” Chao Muxue’s gaze was sharp, while Mingyao smiled and lowered her eyes, “this child has come at the wrong time.”
Chao Muxue helped Mingyao lie down and took out the examination equipment: "If you like children, what reason do you have not to have them?"
"I also have my own reasons."
"I'm already twelve weeks pregnant, should I terminate the pregnancy?"
"No."
Chao Muxue looked at her, and Mingyao explained with a wry smile, "Hitting the child is too noisy and will arouse Pei Siyu's suspicion."
Chao Muxue said helplessly, "It's harder to handle when the child is older."
"I know," Mingyao said with a forced smile. "I'll handle it."
"Okay." Chao Muxue operated the computer for a while and printed out a report stating that she was not pregnant.
She handed the report to Mingyao and rubbed her temples: "No matter what your reasons are for hiding it, it will be exposed sooner or later."
“Pei Siyu is intolerant of any imperfections; you are playing with fire by jeopardizing your relationship and marriage.”
