Mingyao blinked, looking at Pei Zhao with confusion: "Are you threatening me?"
Pei Zhao placed the helmet on Ming Yao's head and said arrogantly, "What threat? I'm just saving you time."
"My uncle is really something, how could he let you work overtime?"
Pei Zhao patted the back seat again, "Get in."
Mingyao couldn't refuse, so she reluctantly sat behind him.
Where to?
Mingyao gave him her location, and Pei Zhao said with dissatisfaction, "Going so far to buy food, it will take you half an hour by taxi."
"Hold on tight!"
As the engine roared to life, Mingyao's body nearly slammed against Pei Zhao due to inertia.
The whistling wind felt like knives slicing through her body, and Mingyao's heart pounded wildly.
It was her first time riding a motorcycle, and she was terrified that Pei Zhao might get into a traffic accident.
Fortunately, the journey was uneventful; buying food and coffee only took fifteen minutes.
Mingyao exhaled a long breath and got out of the car.
"Thanks."
She took off her helmet and tidied her messy hair.
Pei Zhao looked away, his cheeks turning bright red.
He gave a muffled "hmm," his face and the roots of his ears turning so red they looked like they wanted to pinch him until they bled.
As darkness fell, Mingyao failed to notice anything amiss with Pei Zhao.
Pei Zhao muttered, "You don't need to be so polite to me."
Mingyao was about to bring her food into the company when she turned around and saw Pei Siyu and Xu Sitian walking out of the company.
The two walked side by side, Xu Sitian smiling radiantly, skipping and hopping like a little deer.
Pei Siyu's face remained expressionless, but he didn't seem to mind Xu Sitian's contact.
