"You guys, don't take advantage of your youth and strength to do things that will wear you down."
Mingyao nodded obediently, "Dad, don't worry."
"But Dad, why did you come to the hospital so late?"
She asked the question impatiently, her gaze towards Su Qiqiang becoming deep and intense.
Knowing that Ming Yao was worried about Ming Suqin's health, Su Qiqiang smiled and said with feigned concern, "Oh dear, your mother's health has deteriorated rapidly, so I rushed over to check on her."
As he spoke, he stared at Mingyao, as if trying to find a flaw in her face.
Mingyao tried hard to control her emotions; although she was smiling, there was a hint of stiffness in her smile.
At that moment, her heart felt as if it were being gripped by an invisible hand, and even her breath felt suffocated.
Su Qiqiang did it on purpose!
Mingyao knew he was being forced into this situation, yet she felt helpless about her own powerlessness.

The two of them, in perfect unison, put on a show of deep father-daughter affection in front of Pei Siyu.
Just as Mingyao was about to say goodbye to Su Qiqiang, Pei Siyu suddenly asked, "What illness does Xueya's mother have?"
Mingyao and Su Qiqiang were both stunned for a moment; neither of them expected him to suddenly ask that question.
After a brief moment of stunned silence, Su Qiqiang revealed a sorrowful expression and said heavily, "Xueya's mother has cancer and is currently in a coma in the intensive care unit."
“Perfect timing, I have any cancer specialists who can provide Mrs. Ming with examinations and treatment.”
Pei Siyu stared at Su Qiqiang, his voice calm and even.
According to his understanding, Su Xueya was raised by her stepmother from a young age and did not have much affection for her biological mother.
Su Qiqiang's pupils contracted slightly; he hadn't expected him to care about Ming Suqin.
He glared at Mingyao, then subtly withdrew his gaze, and said with a wry smile, "How could I possibly trouble President Pei with this?"

A blush crept onto her face as she said shyly, "I didn't expect President Pei to care about me so much, arranging for me to have a full check-up at the hospital."
Mingyao brought it up on purpose to make Su Qiqiang mistakenly believe that Pei Siyu had feelings for her and was therefore more useful to him.
Su Qiqiang believed him and praised, "Not bad, very well done."

Mingyao's face fell again, her eyes filled with unconcealed worry.
She twisted her fingers, almost pleadingly saying, "Dad, please, don't let anything happen to her."
She choked back tears, her eyes misting over, tears welling in the corners of her eyes, threatening to fall, making her look incredibly pitiful.
"I'd do anything to help her get better."
Mingyao spoke urgently and took the opportunity to express her loyalty.
Su Qiqiang was very satisfied with Mingyao's performance.
"My dear daughter, I've seen all your hard work."
"But that's not enough."
His gaze moved from Mingyao's face to her flat stomach. "You'd better have a good belly and get pregnant with President Pei's child soon!"
