Did he get his brain caught in a door today?
Even after drinking so much, Pei Siyu was still accepting drinks from his colleagues.
Unable to bear it any longer, Mingyao deliberately bumped into his arm, causing the cup to fall to the ground and shatter into pieces.
"Oh dear, I'm so sorry, I accidentally bumped into you."
Seeing that her colleague still wanted to bring more wine, Mingyao took a step forward, stood next to the broken glass, and called the waiter to clean it up.
While the waiter was cleaning up, she quickly texted her assistant to ask him to pick up Pei Siyu and leave.
If Pei Siyu drinks it again, who knows what might happen.
The assistant arrived quickly. He dismissed the colleagues who kept crowding around him and pulled Pei Siyu away.
Only after the two had walked away did Mingyao finally feel relieved.
It was getting late, and everyone had drunk their fill.
Mingyao planned to leave after the party ended.
Buzzing—
The vibration of her phone interrupted her thoughts; it was a text message from her assistant.
Assistant: [Ms. Su, President Pei doesn't want to leave; he insists on waiting for you.]
Assistant: [Mr. Pei and I are waiting for Miss Su in the car.]
Finally, the assistant sent over a license plate, which gave Mingyao a headache.
She approached Manager Zhang, made an excuse that she had something to do, and left first.
Xia Kexing kept a close eye on Mingyao's movements. When she saw Mingyao lifting her skirt to leave the yacht, she followed closely behind and got off the yacht with Mingyao.
No sooner had President Pei left than Ming Yao followed him. There might really be something going on between them.
Just as Xia Kexing was about to catch up with Ming Yao, a figure suddenly darted out from the side.
"Miss, may I ask you a few questions?" A young girl with black-rimmed round glasses, a ponytail, a plaid shirt, and a backpack blocked Xia Kexing's way.
Xia Kexing's anger surged to her head. "I don't have time!" she said, and before the girl could say anything more, she pushed her away with a look of annoyance.
When she looked ahead again, Mingyao was nowhere to be seen.
Xia Kexing looked around at the people and cars in a daze, but couldn't see a single shadow of Mingyao.
The girl with black-rimmed glasses persisted, asking Xia Kexing questions, "What's your name? What's your relationship with the young master?"
Xia Kexing ignored the girl's words, his mind filled with thoughts of Ming Yao.
The girl wouldn't give up, buzzing around Xia Kexing's ear like a fly.
She couldn't take it anymore and shoved the girl away, yelling, "Are you ever going to stop? Get out!"
The girl took two steps back and fell to the ground. In the blink of an eye, the furious Xia Kexing had run far away.
"If you don't want to answer, then don't. Why did you push me?" The girl got up from the ground, dusted herself off, and stared intently in the direction Xia Kexing had left.
Fortunately, the materials have been collected, and this time the front page headline must be hers!
On the other side, Mingyao found Pei Siyu's car based on the license plate number; it was a black Cayenne.
The assistant sat helplessly in the driver's seat when he saw Mingyao, and his eyes suddenly lit up as if he had seen a savior.
"Miss Su, you've finally arrived!"
"President Pei keeps talking about you and won't leave until he sees you. I really have no choice."
He sighed, his face full of helplessness.
Mingyao crawled into the back of the car, the strong smell of alcohol hitting her head.
She frowned, looking at Pei Siyu sitting in the back seat with considerable surprise.
"Master Pei?"
Pei Siyu raised his eyelids, and his usually stern black eyes now held a hint of tenderness.
He reached out and grabbed Mingyao's wrist.
Before Mingyao could react, he forcefully pulled her into the carriage.
Mingyao's body, propelled by inertia, fell into Pei Siyu's arms.
The pounding of my heart, like drumbeats, pounded on my eardrums.
Mingyao's nose pressed against his chest, the strong, resounding heartbeat echoing in her ears.
She pressed against Pei Siyu's chest, trying to sit up straight.
The next second, Pei Siyu's strong arms wrapped around her waist.
Mingyao's body uncontrollably moved a little closer to his chest.
"Master Pei, you're drunk."
Mingyao blushed and tried to push Pei Siyu away, but he was too strong. She was completely locked in his arms and couldn't move.
The assistant glanced at Mingyao and Pei Siyu through the rearview mirror, cleared his throat, and said, "Miss Su, I'm starting the car."
The car started moving slowly, and Mingyao gave up struggling completely, collapsing into Pei Siyu's arms.
Back at the Pei family mansion, Mingyao and her assistant helped the drunken Pei Siyu to the living room.
Pei Siyu leaned back on the sofa, his hand tightly gripping Mingyao's.
After the assistant left, Mingyao sat down next to Pei Siyu.
She was slightly out of breath, looking at the man with flushed cheeks and a dazed look in her eyes with displeasure.
He wasn't a big drinker, yet he drank so much.
After drinking, Pei Siyu became a completely different person.
Who would have thought that Pei Siyu, the cold-faced Yama King whom everyone in Haidu fears and avoids, would turn into a clingy little kitten when he's drunk?
While in the car, Pei Siyu held Mingyao tightly, muttering words she couldn't understand.
"Miss Su, is Mr. Pei drunk?"
Aunt Wu looked in surprise at Pei Siyu, who was leaning against Mingyao and unconscious.
Mingyao chuckled, "At the party tonight, Master Pei was in a good mood and drank a bit more."
"Aunt Wu, could you please bring some hot water? I need to wipe Master Pei down."
A short while later, Aunt Wu came over with warm water and a hot towel.
Mingyao gently wiped Pei Siyu's forehead and cheeks with a damp towel.
Pei Siyu, who had been keeping his eyes closed, slowly opened them, his dark eyes reflecting Ming Yao's serious expression.
