Su Xueya grabbed Mingyao's scalp and pulled her back forcefully, causing Mingyao to cry out in pain.
She didn't hold back and grabbed Su Xueya's chin.
The two were fighting when Su Yao ran over, his eyes wide, and hurriedly tried to stop them.
"Don't bully Sister Xiaoxue!"
Su Yao clenched his fist and kept pounding Su Xueya's waist, tears streaming down his face like broken pearls.
"Get out of my way!"
Su Xueya glared angrily at Su Yao, then shoved him away with a wave of her hand.
Su Yao staggered back two steps, almost losing his balance and falling to the ground.
Mingyao angrily said, "Su Xueya, if you want to hit someone, hit me. Why are you hitting your brother?"
"So what if I hit you?"
"That little brat is such an ingrate!"
She deliberately pushed Su Yao hard, and with a thud, Su Xueya and Ming Yao stopped together.
Su Yao's head hit the door, and he fell to the ground without making a sound.
Mingyao's mind went completely blank. She pushed Su Xueya away and rushed to Su Yao's side.
"Yaoyao?"
With red eyes, Mingyao gently patted Su Yao's face, "Yaoyao, don't scare your sister, open your eyes quickly."
Su Yao kept his eyes closed and remained silent.
Su Xueya turned pale with fright and quickly tried to absolve herself of responsibility.
"He fell down on his own; it has nothing to do with me."
Mingyao glared at Su Xueya with uncontrollable rage, "If anything happens to Yaoyao, I'll make you pay with your life!"
Su Xueya wanted to argue, but when she met Ming Yao's angry gaze, she had no choice but to swallow her resentment.
Their fight was so loud that it attracted the attention of Grandpa Su, Mrs. Su, and Su Xiu.
Su Yao was the apple of the eye of Grandpa Su and Grandma Su. When they saw Su Yao unconscious, they almost fainted on the spot.
Su Xiu asked anxiously, "What happened?"
Mingyao's tears fell in a stream. "Su Yao accidentally bumped his head."
"Take him to the hospital right away!"
The group was in complete chaos, rushing to the hospital in a frantic rush.
Su Yao was examining patients in the ward, while Ming Yao and Su Xueya sat blankly on chairs in the corridor.
As soon as the ward door opened and the doctor came out, Grandpa Su and Grandma Su surrounded him, bombarding him with questions.
The doctor said Su Yao only had a mild concussion and would wake up by evening.
Mingyao's heart, which had been hanging in suspense, finally settled down. Su Xueya grumbled resentfully, "I told you Yaoyao would be fine. You were so anxious. Anyone who didn't know better would think something had happened to him."
Su Xueya's words successfully angered Mingyao, who, unable to bear it any longer, slapped her across the face.
Snap—
Su Xueya's eyes widened in horror. She covered half of her swollen face and looked at Ming Yao in disbelief.
"Are you crazy?"
Why did you suddenly hit me?!
Half of her face was numb and painful, which showed that Mingyao had used all her strength.
Just as Su Xueya was about to retaliate, she saw Grandpa Su and Grandma Su walking over, and tears streamed down her face.
"Grandpa and Grandma, my sister suddenly hit me,"
The red mark on half of her face looked horrifying, and Su Xueya was crying uncontrollably.
Grandpa Su frowned and remained silent, while Grandma Su looked at Su Xueya with heartache.
"Child, what exactly happened?"
While comforting Su Xueya, Grandma Su asked Mingyao.
Mingyao retorted angrily, "Grandma, don't be fooled by her pitiful crying!"
"It was she who pushed Yaoyao down, causing Yaoyao's head to hit the door!"
"The doctor said Yaoyao has a mild concussion, and she actually said it was wrong of me to disturb her!"
"Shouldn't I have hit her?"
Grandma Su found it hard to believe. In her memory, Su Xueya was very well-behaved. How could she say such a thing?
"Yaoyao, did you really push Yaoyao down?"
Su Xueya was speechless and muttered that she had to admit it.
Seeing the disappointed expressions on Grandma Su and Grandpa Su's faces, she quickly tried to make amends, "Grandma, I didn't mean to push Yaoyao down!"
"Yaoyao is my younger brother, and I feel sorry for him too."
"I was arguing with my sister at the time and didn't notice Yao Yao, that's why..."
Mingyao found Su Xueya's excuses for her own actions amusing.
Even now, she's still pretending to be someone else in front of the old lady.
Su Xueya's eyes were red, and she stammered, "Grandpa and Grandma, it's all my fault. I shouldn't have been so careless."
Old Master Su's face was gloomy, and his eyes shot out a cold light as he looked at Ming Yao.
"Yaoyao, you know your brother's situation."
"That was so careless!"
Su Xueya bit her lip in frustration, instinctively trying to justify herself: "But I really didn't mean to..."
No sooner had he finished speaking than Old Master Su sternly reprimanded him: "Did you say what your sister just said?"
Su Xueya choked, biting her lower lip.
"Yaoyao, I'm so disappointed in you!"
Su Xueya burst into tears: "I already said it was my fault, why did Grandpa still..."
"Waaah, it's all my fault, okay?!"
Su Xueya covered her face and ran away.
Grandpa Su was angry at his son's lack of ambition, while Grandma Su scolded him for speaking too harshly.
"Yao Yao already said it was an accident!"
"Why did you still..."
"She's just a young woman in her early twenties, and you're criticizing her like this."
Mingyao sighed, "Grandpa, I'm going to go after her."
Worried that Su Xueya might cause trouble, she hurriedly went to chase after her.
However, after a minute or two, Mingyao could no longer see Su Xueya.
Looking at the vast sea of people, Mingyao frowned deeply, completely unable to find anyone.
