Chapter 103 Don't Be Overconfident

Just as she was about to give her contact information, Mingyao stepped forward, blocking the two of them, and said coldly, "No need."

"yes?"

Ni An looked at Ming Yao with a puzzled expression, completely confused.

Guo Xiaorong was also stunned, and asked with a dry laugh, "Can't we leave our contact information? I thought we got along very well."

Mingyao gave a forced smile: "It was indeed very pleasant, but there's no need to exchange contact information."

Just as Ni An was about to ask why, Ming Yao pulled her away without looking back.

Guo Xiaorong's lips twitched, and she said with some annoyance, "May we meet again someday."

She took a deep look in the direction Mingyao and Ni An had left, then got into her car and drove away.

"Sister Su, what's wrong with you?"

Ni An, unable to bear it any longer, shook off Ming Yao's hand, pointed in the direction the taxi had left, and said with some dissatisfaction, "I still haven't gotten their contact information."

She frowned, her gaze towards Mingyao filled with confusion.

They were having a perfectly good conversation in the car, so why did their expression change as soon as they got out?

"Sister Su, is there a problem with Guo Xiaorong? Why won't you let me get her contact information?"

Seeing that Ni An was still thinking about Guo Xiaorong, Mingyao explained helplessly, "There must be something fishy going on. Don't you think she's being a little too enthusiastic towards us?"

"Is there?"

Ni An believes that Ming Yao has paranoia and says indignantly, "Everyone has a different personality, Sister Su, don't think too badly of people."

Mingyao glared at her, annoyed at her lack of self-confidence, and asked, "Do you still remember what Guo Xiaorong said when she stopped the car?"

Ni An thought about it carefully and didn't think there was anything wrong with it.

"When she asked her if it was on the way, she mentioned that our destination was the Haichang branch."

"Upon hearing about the Haichang branch, she immediately said it was on her way, and her eyes lit up."

"Sister Su, not just anyone can get into the Haichang branch."

Ni An argued, "Besides, Haichang's branch is a well-known company in Haidu. Ordinary people would be envious if they knew we worked there."

“That’s right.” Mingyao looked at Ni An with a helpless expression, wondering how much of a mind-control drug Guo Xiaorong had given her to make her speak up for Guo Xiaorong like this.

"Sister Su, I still don't understand."

Mingyao didn't beat around the bush. She pulled Ni An aside, leaned close to her ear, and whispered, "You remember what she was carrying when she got on the bus, right?"

"Remember."

"That's a camera."

Ni An looked at Ming Yao as if she were an idiot, her gaze increasingly puzzled. "Is there something wrong with the camera?"

"You're stupid. Her camera is a professional camera, which means her job is related to cameras."

Ni An was still completely baffled and couldn't figure out the reason.

Mingyao spoke frankly, "After she got in the car, she kept chatting with you, but the topics she talked about all revolved around the Haichang branch, and her words were very professional."

"Her enthusiasm for you isn't because she wants to be friends with you, but because she wants to use you to dig up dirt on the company."

After listening to Mingyao's analysis, Ni An stood there dumbfounded, unable to react for a long time.

"Sister Su, do you mean she's a paparazzi reporter?"

"right."

No one will have unwarranted enthusiasm for another person unless there is something to gain from it.

When Guo Xiaorong got into the car, Mingyao wasn't too wary of her; she just didn't want to talk much.

As her conversation with Ni An deepened, Mingyao began to suspect Guo Xiaorong's motives.

However, she wasn't entirely sure until after they got off the bus, when Guo Xiaorong took the initiative to ask for her contact information.

Only then did Mingyao begin to believe her inner suspicions about her identity.

The Haichang branch was just starting out, and countless eyes were constantly watching them, hoping they would make a mistake.

Therefore, everyone in the company must be extremely careful, because if any flaw is exposed, there will be no hope of recovery!

Following the ideas provided by Mingyao, Ni An thought about it carefully, and goosebumps rose all over his body.

"Sister Su, thank goodness you reminded me, otherwise I would have really believed her!"

Thinking of Guo Xiaorong's small face, Ni An felt a chill run down her spine.

As it approached the start of the workday, Ni An and Ming Yao stood outside Pei Siyu's office.

Ni An held the contract and paced back and forth at the office door.

"Sister Su, I'm scared..."

Her face was tense, devoid of any radiance, her small face as white as paper, and panic almost overflowing from her eyes.

Mingyao encouraged her and kept comforting her.

What are you doing?

Pei Siyu's cold, emotionless voice came from behind without warning.

Mingyao and Ni'an were both startled and turned around cautiously.

Pei Siyu stood less than ten meters away from the two of them, his questioning gaze sweeping back and forth between them.

Ni An was already scared, and Pei Siyu's words frightened her so much that she shrank behind Ming Yao like a quail, not daring to breathe.

"President Pei, Ni An and I have come to deliver the contract."

Holding her breath, she handed the contract to Pei Siyu, glancing at him cautiously out of the corner of her eye as she said, "I've roughly looked through the contract, there are no problems, it just needs Mr. Pei's signature."

Pei Siyu took the contract, glanced at it, and tossed it to his assistant behind him.

Mingyao's heart leaped into her throat. Just as she was about to ask about Ni An, Pei Siyu walked straight past her.

Ni An tugged at her sleeve, frowning, her eyes red.

"President Pei."

Mingyao clenched her fists, called out to Pei Siyu, and asked nervously, "You said that if we could get the contract, we would let Ni An stay and continue working."

Pei Siyu's steps faltered, and the surrounding air seemed to freeze, creating a sense of oppression.
