Chapter 24 The Attitude of Apology

"There's no rush."

Mr. Wang licked his dry lips and reached out to grab Mingyao's hand.

Before he could touch her, Mingyao quickly withdrew her hand and looked at him seriously, "Mr. Wang, are you just saying all those nice things to fool me?"

Boss Wang's mouth opened slightly, but before he could answer, Mingyao turned her head, frowned, and looked indignant. "I can't escape your grasp anymore."

"Alright, alright, I'll tell you the reason, okay?" Boss Wang was eager to embrace the beauty and truthfully said, "The reason I haven't agreed yet is because the Pei family and the foreign company have both offered quite high prices."

The answer was both unexpected and not unexpected.

The Pei family's power structure is complex and intertwined, and there are quite a few members of the Pei family who are opposed to Pei Siyu.

"So it's that complicated." Mingyao pouted. "Are you trying to sell it to a foreign company instead of President Pei, demanding a higher price?"

W country's technology companies are financially powerful and will spare no effort to offer exorbitant prices to acquire Haidu in order to cut off its chip industry.

The result of businessmen pursuing profit is the same as the fate of the Starry Sky Company in the previous life.

Mr. Wang retorted vehemently: "I admit I'm not a good person, but I won't abandon my basic human decency for money!"

"I would rather destroy the chip technology in my own hands than sell it to a foreign company!"

He spoke with conviction and conviction, his words earnest and sincere.

Mingyao was skeptical. "Really?"

Seeing that Boss Wang seemed so sincere, Mingyao felt a little suspicious.

How could someone as principled as Mr. Wang allow the chip industry of Fanxing Company to fall into the hands of W country people?

"Xiao Su, don't worry." Boss Wang reached out towards Ming Yao's thigh. "I've made up my mind to cooperate with President Pei. As long as he offers a price that satisfies me this time, I guarantee I'll sign a contract with him."

Just as Mr. Wang's lecherous hand was about to reach for her thigh, Mingyao moved back a couple of steps and stood up. "Mr. Wang, what price do you want?"

Mr. Wang's hand froze in mid-air. He frowned and stared at Mingyao, a hint of displeasure creeping into his smiling face.

What do you mean by that?

He leaned back on the sofa cushions, his cold gaze filled with anger, his expression changing as fast as turning the pages of a book. "Xiao Su, I've already shown my sincerity."

"And you?" Boss Wang said sternly, "I don't do unprofitable business where I only see the rabbit but don't act!"

"Tch," Mingyao secretly rolled her eyes, her mind filled with sarcasm.

He's allowed to set fires, but the common people aren't allowed to light lamps. He can take advantage of Pei Siyu, but she can't.

She got the better deal today!

Mingyao's face scrunched up like a bitter gourd, her cheeks flushed, and she stammered, feigning panic, "Boss Wang, I didn't... I was just too nervous."

Mr. Wang, with a stern face, crossed his legs, adopting a more comfortable posture, staring intently at Ming Yao with his squinted eyes, and a slight curve appearing at the corners of his lips.

Meeting his oppressive yet playful gaze, Mingyao bit her lower lip, standing there helplessly, her delicate features revealing her panic and timidity.

She stared at her toes, trying to recall the painful memories of her past life. When her eyes became moist, she looked up and murmured, "I'm sorry, it's my fault for upsetting Mr. Wang."

Upon hearing this, a sly glint appeared in Boss Wang's eyes, and his tone softened slightly, but his face remained grim, his cold and sharp eyes conveying a sense of impending doom. "It's good that you realize your mistake, but you must have the right attitude when you admit it."

Mingyao was well aware of the psychological tactics that Boss Wang used.

Using the attitude of someone in a higher position to exert both kindness and pressure on someone in a lower position is a tactic that can intimidate most young people.

Young people lack experience and cannot see through the true nature of Boss Wang, a seasoned veteran. Secondly, the fact that he is both the boss and the client makes timid and fearful young people hesitant to provoke him, for fear of ruining the company's business.

Little did they know that such a large-scale collaboration would not be easily affected by a small employee, unless one party nitpicked.

Mingyao looked at Boss Wang with feigned trepidation. "Boss Wang, I... I'll pour you some tea as an apology." As she spoke, she picked up the teapot and poured the tea while cautiously scrutinizing him with fearful eyes.

"Mr. Wang, I'm so sorry." Mingyao picked up the teacup and handed it to Mr. Wang with a sob in her voice.

Mr. Wang glanced at her leisurely, ignoring the teacup in her hand.

Tears welled up in Mingyao's eyes. She took a breath and hesitantly moved closer to Boss Wang. "Boss Wang, please have some tea."

"Not sincere enough."

Boss Wang gave a cold, detached reminder.

What a pig-headed idiot who's pushing his luck!

Mingyao glared at him, cursing him in her heart.

She raised her eyebrows, bit her pale lips even harder, then turned her eyes, bowed at a forty-five-degree angle, and offered the tea to Mr. Wang again, saying, "Mr. Wang, please have some tea."

"Hmm~" Boss Wang curled his lips and reached out to take the cup, his fingertips deliberately slipping between Mingyao's fingers.

The skin that was touched felt like ants were crawling on it, itchy and with a strange, chilling sensation.

So much so that her hand holding the teacup trembled involuntarily twice, and at the same time, Mr. Wang's hand happened to touch her wrist.

The teacup clattered to the ground, and Mingyao was startled.

Her eyes widened as she watched the tea spread across Mr. Wang's suit and shirt, her face turning deathly pale.

Mr. Wang pursed his lips and let out a soft hum from his nose, radiating a suffocatingly low pressure.

The air suddenly condensed.

"I'm so sorry, Mr. Wang, I didn't mean to!" Mingyao bowed and apologized with tears in her eyes.

Unexpectedly, Mr. Wang's expression did not soften; instead, it became even colder. He said sternly, "Little Su! Is it fun to play with me?!"

Mingyao hurriedly pulled out a tissue and handed it over.

Mr. Wang slapped her hand away, snorted, and said without any mercy, "I came to Haichang to discuss cooperation, not to be played by you!"

You bastard!

Mingyao gritted her teeth, twisting the tissue in her hand, her anger surging like a mighty flood.

If it weren't for her remaining rationality reminding her of Boss Wang's importance, she probably would have immediately raised her fist.

Mingyao touched the name tag on her chest and regained her composure.

On her way to the meeting room, Mingyao hid the miniature recorder behind the name tag.

The recorder captured the entire process of Mr. Wang's attempt to sexually harass her, and it was connected to her phone, transmitting the recording to her phone in real time as a precaution.

To deal with a cunning old fox like Boss Wang, you have to ruthlessly stomp on his tail, suck his blood and flesh, and break his bones to extract his marrow. Only in this way can you deliver a heavy blow to him.

A smile flickered in Mingyao's eyes. Soon, she would be able to show Boss Wang the wickedness of human nature.

As long as she achieves her goal, all her efforts will not have been in vain.

"I was so clumsy," Mingyao said, feeling extremely guilty. "I'm so sorry for getting Mr. Wang's clothes dirty, I can pay for it!"

She pleaded in a trembling voice, "I'm willing to pay any amount of money as long as it keeps Mr. Wang from getting angry."

No sooner had he finished speaking than Boss Wang sneered, "Pay back?"
