Pei Siyu slightly raised his chin, narrowed his eyes, and looked at Wang Zhouheng with a strong sense of mockery.
Mingyao was caught between the two and had a headache.

Before Wang Zhouheng could speak again, Mingyao grabbed Pei Siyu and strode away.
Wang Zhouheng watched the two figures walk away, his gaze involuntarily falling on Ming Yao holding Pei Siyu's hand, his brows furrowing in a frown.
After walking quite a distance, Mingyao finally let go of her hand.
She patted her chest, still shaken, and turned to look at Pei Siyu, who remained silent.
"President Pei, why are you arguing with Dr. Wang?"
She pouted, somewhat dissatisfied.
Pei Siyu raised an eyebrow, his face as cold as ice, and every word he uttered was as cold as if it had been tempered with ice.
He looked at Mingyao with a mocking smile, a sarcastic tone in his eyes: "Can't bear to part with her?"
Suddenly, Mingyao tightened her grip on her wrist.
Pei Siyu increased the force in his hand, almost crushing Mingyao's wrist.
Mingyao groaned in pain, her eyes reddening.
Her clear black and white eyes were veiled with tears, and her gaze toward Pei Siyu was full of grievance.
"President Pei, it hurts so much."
Tears welled up in her eyes, dangling at the corners, threatening to spill, making her look very pitiful.
Pei Siyu didn't let go; instead, he increased the force of his grip and pulled Mingyao into his arms.

A blush crept onto her cheeks, and her gaze toward Pei Siyu became shy.
"President Pei, I... I was drugged."
As she spoke, Mingyao's brows furrowed, and a hint of disgust appeared in her eyes.
"I don't know why I became like that. I'm sorry, Mr. Pei. I won't do it again."
Seeing that he didn't reply for a long time, Mingyao timidly raised her eyes.
The moment she looked up, her eyes met Pei Siyu's. It was only for a brief instant before she lowered her head, looking pitiful and terrified.
"Su Xueya, I don't care what your relationship with Wang Zhouheng is."
He commanded in an unquestionable tone, "You are not allowed to have any further contact with him."
Mingyao frowned, a hint of dissatisfaction appearing in her glassy eyes.
