Chapter 491 They didn't even leave her shrimp

Xuanming nodded in agreement, "These continents do need to be properly cleaned up."

The Grand Tutor then asked, "The spirit was raised by the Qiong family, so how come the Holy Family of the Second Continent didn't know about it?"

Xuanming shook his head, "I guess they don't know. Meiling hasn't appeared all these years... The Grand Tutor reminded me. I'll meet with the Sheng family later and ask how to deal with the Qiong family."

The Grand Tutor laughed and said, "Well, as long as you know what's going on, this huge change is all their doing. If the Holy Qiong Continent still wants to protect the Qiong family, then we will not allow it."

Xuanming indicated that he understood.

When he returned to Mu Zhi's residence in the inner palace, Mu Zhi was setting the table and did not notice Xuan Ming behind her.

Xuanming stepped forward, took her hand, and whispered, "Let the palace servants do these things. Don't overwork yourself. I didn't marry you into the palace to do these chores."

Mu Zhi was surprised that she hadn't heard his footsteps and quickly tried to bow, but Xuan Ming stopped her.

"Didn't I say at the coronation ceremony that I would exempt you from all kneeling and bowing, and you can just stay in the General's Mansion as you always have been?"

Mu Zhi felt a warmth in her heart upon hearing this.

The time they spent together after their wedding made her realize that Xuanming's previous coldness towards her was simply because he was afraid that she would be heartbroken if he died.

Now that he has those medicines, he no longer hides his love.

Perhaps, he loves himself too.

"Okay, did you take your medicine today?" Mu Zhi suddenly asked.

Xuanming was taken aback and shook his head. "Never."

Mu Zhi, with an expression that said, "I knew it," instructed Magpie to fetch the medicine.

"You, now that you have the medicine, you're not taking care of your body anymore. The Imperial Hospital took this medicine for three days to test it before they said it was a miracle drug. You absolutely must not stop taking it."

She thought for a moment and continued, "Your complexion has indeed improved a lot recently. I know you're quite weak, so I made some medicinal soup. Drink more of it later."

Xuanming sat at the table, watching her do it herself, while constantly muttering his name.

Yingzhu, who was standing at the door, couldn't help but lower her head and laugh, but Xuanming's sharp glare silenced her.

"You can leave now, we don't need you here," Xuanming said coldly to Yingzhu.

Yingzhu nodded sadly and went out.

Yingmei was waiting outside the door. When she saw Yingzhu come out, she laughed at him, "I've told you before, you should stay away from places where the Empress is, but you just won't listen."

Yingzhu retorted, "Before Yingzun left, he instructed me to stay by His Highness's side at all times, and I failed to do so."

Yingmei silently rolled her eyes, while Yingzhu suddenly muttered to herself, "However, it's true that every creature has its nemesis. His Highness is becoming more and more humane, and the smile on his face is much more genuine. The Empress is truly amazing."

"You don't know, just now the Empress asked His Highness, oh no, I should call him Your Majesty, and I didn't expect His Highness, oh no, Your Majesty, to care about even this."

Previously, when they addressed the Empress as "Your Highness," the Emperor felt it was inappropriate to hear them call him "Your Highness" and "Empress Mu Zhi," so he made them all change their address to "Your Majesty."

I was truly shocked.

When Huang Xuanming ascended the throne, the ministers all petitioned to change his title, but His Highness rejected them all on his own.

Now, because of such a trivial matter, everyone is being asked to change their tune.

Yingmei rolled her eyes at him. "It's not like this is the first time you've seen the Emperor treat the Empress so specially. What were you trying to say just now?"

"Oh right, just now the Empress asked His Highness if he had taken his medicine, and His Majesty said no. Then the Empress started nagging His Majesty, and the thing is, His Majesty really enjoyed listening to it." Yingzhu shared with Yingmei with a gossipy look on her face.

Yingmei said irritably, "Is that all? Isn't this something that happens every day? The Emperor has such a good memory, it's not that he really can't remember, he just likes to see the Empress care about him."

Yingzhu still found it novel. "I've never seen His Highness like this before. Even if I see him once a day now, it still feels amazing. The Emperor would get impatient if the Grand Tutor nagged him a few times, but now that the Empress has nagged him so many times, he actually enjoys it."

Yingmei sighed, "What is love in this world that makes people willing to die for it? Oh well, we don't understand it anyway. Let's just focus on our own business. The Emperor wants to see the Crown Prince later, have you conveyed that?"

"Oh no, I forgot. Thanks for reminding me, I'll send someone to summon him right away." Yingzhu looked annoyed; he had actually forgotten something so important.

Watching Yingzhu hurriedly run away, Yingmei sighed. Ah, she especially missed the time when Yingzun was around.

I wonder how they are doing now.

Inside the house, the magpie carefully carried the medicine in and gently placed it on the table beside it.

Mu Zhi gently picked up her chopsticks, placed a piece of food into Xuanming's bowl, and said with a smile, "Eat first, then drink your medicine. Try this; I think the shrimp dish today is very delicious."

Shrimp are a rare treat in winter, and Mu Zhi loves them very much.

Upon hearing her words, Xuanming turned to look at Muzhi, only to see her intently battling a shrimp with her chopsticks.

Xuanming smiled slightly, put down his chopsticks, and took the whole plate of shrimp in front of him. Mu Zhi's eyes widened instantly, her face full of doubt.

How come he took them all?

Does he particularly like eating shrimp?

"Do you also love this dish?" Mu Zhi asked with a touch of heartache, torn between whether she should pretend to be more generous.

However, Xuanming did not answer her question. Instead, he silently rolled up his sleeves and began peeling shrimp.
