Chapter 563 Yun Ziheng Injured

Seeing Yun Ziheng kill their leader with a single arrow, one of the bandits was already filled with fear, but remembering that he had not yet completed the task assigned to him by his superiors, he could only steel himself and ask in a trembling voice:

"Who are you? How dare you act so recklessly? Are you tired of living?"

Faced with the bandits' questioning, Yun Ziheng remained silent as if he hadn't heard a thing.

He simply raised his bow and arrow with a blank expression, his movements slow yet resolute, and steadily aimed the arrow at the bandit who had just spoken up.

As everyone watched his slow-motion movements, a sense of unease crept into their hearts, as they thought he wouldn't shoot out so quickly.

Unexpectedly, just as the arrow was pulled back to a certain point and held in place for less than a second, it flew out and struck the man who had just spoken directly in the chest.

"Damn it, how dare you... Ah!" Upon seeing this, his companion immediately roared loudly, but before he could finish speaking, Yun Ziheng swiftly pierced his chest with an arrow.

Another person has been shot dead.

When the other bandits saw that three of their companions had died in succession, they knew that the newcomer was a ruthless fellow, and their expressions instantly turned panicked.

Then he realized that the other side had only sent Yun Ziheng, while they had so many people, and the panic gradually subsided.

One of them shouted, "The boss has been kind to me. I'm going to kill him to avenge him. Everyone, come at me together. He's just one person, but there are so many of us. Are we afraid of him?"

Yuan Qingling was startled and saw a group of people rushing over with knives in hand.

Yun Ziheng threw away the bow and arrow in his hand and said coldly, "Yin Mu, protect them."

After saying that, he drew the soft sword that was coiled at his waist and rushed into the crowd.

"My lord, please be careful," Yuan Qingling whispered.

Yun Ziheng felt a warmth in his heart when he heard Yuan Qingling address him; she was such a thoughtful girl.

Yuan Qingling and her maid huddled together. The maid dared not look at the horrific scene, but Yuan Qingling kept her eyes wide open, watching as Yun Ziheng killed the bandits one by one.

An unexpected change occurred.

A bandit with blood on his neck, pretending to be dead, suddenly jumped up from behind Yun Ziheng.

"careful."

"Master, behind you."

Yuan Qingling and Yin Mu's voices rang out immediately, but it was already a little too late.

Seeing that he couldn't dodge in time, Yun Ziheng made a quick decision. He slightly turned his body and used his other arm, which wasn't holding a sword, to block the attack from the front. His other hand was holding a sword to block the attack from the front.

"Hiss." Yun Ziheng gasped in pain.

My arm was cut so deep that the bone was visible.

Yun Ziheng hardened his heart, withdrew his injured arm, and in a few swift movements, snatched back the knife that had just injured him, delivering a fatal blow to his opponent.

He looked at his bleeding arm, his eyes deep and serious. He couldn't delay any longer.

Yun Ziheng turned around, gritted his teeth, picked up two swords, and charged towards the bandits without fear.

Seeing Yun Ziheng fighting with increasing ferocity, the bandits momentarily considered retreating.

In that brief moment, Yun Ziheng had his chance; wherever the swords passed, none survived.

Yun Ziheng turned to look at Yuan Qingling, whose face was full of worry and whose eyes were filled with tears.

As Yun Ziheng collapsed, he saw Yuan Qingling running towards him.

Yun Ziheng was weakly supported by Yin Mu and Yuan Qingling as he leaned against a tree.

Yin Feng took out two bottles of medicine from somewhere. One bottle contained pills, which he quickly fed to Yun Ziheng. The other bottle contained powder, which was for stopping bleeding.

These are all medicines that Yun Qingluo left behind when she left.

The general's guards must carry them with them at all times.

Although Yuan Qingling really wanted to help, she was confined to the inner quarters and didn't know how to treat wounds.

"Master, I'll use some medicine powder to stop the bleeding and treat it simply. I'll have a doctor re-bandage it when we get back. It will hurt a bit, so please bear with it." After saying that, Yin Feng tore the clothes open wider along the tear.

Yun Ziheng nodded, "Just apply the medicine."

Yin Feng arrived in a horse-drawn carriage.

"Master, you're injured? I'll take you back immediately to have the imperial physician treat you." Yin Feng was shocked when he saw the bloodstains on Yun Ziheng's arm.

These thieves are so powerful, they were able to hurt their master?

Yin Feng looked at Yin Mu with dissatisfaction, questioning him with his eyes how he protected his master.

Yin Mu looked aggrieved. He wanted to help his master, but bandits kept siding with Miss Yuan, so he had no choice but to obey his master's orders.

“Miss Yuan, your clothes are all torn. Why don’t you go to the carriage and change? Oh, right, the clothes are ready and are in the carriage.” Yun Ziheng turned to Yuan Qingling, who looked worried.

Yuan Qingling nodded, her face full of gratitude.

"Thank you so much, Lord Yun, for saving my life. I am deeply grateful. I think there is no danger ahead. Lord Yun, you should go back as soon as possible and ask the doctor to treat your wounds."

Yun Ziheng used his other intact hand to stop her from saying anything more.

"Since we're already here, why not go a little further? I have something to say to Miss Yuan."

Yun Ziheng looked serious. Although Yuan Qingling didn't know what he was going to say, she could only take her maid and go change her clothes first.

If he sends her to Xiangguo Temple sooner, he can go back to recuperate sooner.

After Yuan Qingling left, Yun Ziheng's expression turned cold.

"Go and find out which continent this person is from," Yun Ziheng ordered coldly.

Yin Feng was shocked. "What? Not ordinary bandits?"

Yun Ziheng nodded, "Although they disguised themselves as bandits, their movements were not without order; they were clearly carefully trained. Ordinary bandits would have scattered long ago upon seeing their leader dead, but they wouldn't give up until they achieved their goal."

What worried him more was that if these people were related to the Yuan family, then things could get complicated.

"And while you're at it, thoroughly investigate the Yuan family's residence," Yun Ziheng instructed again.

"Yes, Master, I will send the message back immediately." Yin Feng said and walked away.

Yuan Qingling changed her clothes, got out of the carriage, walked up to Yun Ziheng, and said softly, "How are you feeling, Lord Yun? If you're not feeling well, you should go back first. The road ahead is safe."

Yun Ziheng asked Yin Mu to help him up. "It's alright, but I'm afraid I'll have to trouble Miss Yuan. I'm not able to ride a bicycle right now."

Yuan Qingling smiled helplessly, "What are you saying, Lord Yun? The carriage was originally yours, please get in."

Inside the carriage, the maid had already tidied up.

Yuan Qingling and Yun Ziheng sat facing each other. She said again with concern, "The carriage ride was bumpy. I'm afraid it will be hard for you, Lord Yun."

Yun Ziheng shook his head, "It's alright."

Yuan Qingling took out some pastries, saying, "I was thinking that Lord Yun hadn't eaten dinner. If you don't mind, please have some pastries to fill your stomach."

Yun Ziheng realized that he hadn't eaten lunch or dinner that day, so he didn't refuse. "Thank you, then I won't be polite. I am indeed a bit hungry."

Yun Ziheng ate five or six pieces of pastry before stopping. Fortunately, Yin Feng had considered this and prepared tea in the carriage.

Yun Ziheng drank three cups of water before his stomach felt a little better.

The pain in his arm became more and more obvious, so Yun Ziheng leaned against the carriage wall and closed his eyes to rest.

Yuan Qingling originally wanted to ask Yun Ziheng what he wanted to say to him earlier, but seeing Yun Ziheng closing his eyes in discomfort, she stopped talking and even slowed her breathing a bit, afraid of disturbing him.
