Chapter 545 Visiting Grandmother (Part 1)

Yun Ziyu nodded solemnly and said, "That's right, Zhiyuan, your maternal grandmother hasn't come to visit you these days because she's not feeling well."

He sighed softly and continued, "Grandmother loves our lovely Zhiyuan the most. If she could see your smiling face, she might be in a better mood and her illness might even be cured. Therefore, I have come to the palace today to take you two back to visit Grandmother."

Looking back, after her two children turned one year old, she insisted on living in the palace.

The Grand Tutor, along with Mo Junye, devoted himself wholeheartedly to handling state affairs.

Yunmu originally intended to keep Mo Zhiyuan in the General's Mansion to take good care of her, but unfortunately the two siblings had an extremely deep bond.

When Mo Zhiyuan heard that her brother would be living in the palace for a long time from now on, she did not hesitate to say that she would definitely stay by his side.

Although Yunmu and Yunfu were somewhat reluctant, they respected their children's decision.

Every few days, they would personally visit their two beloved grandsons in the palace.

In the palace, Granny Gong, Yun Tao, Yun Xin, and others always took good care of them.

Mo Zhiyuan opened her arms and suddenly rushed into Yun Ziyu's warm embrace.

She blinked her big, bright eyes and said in a sweet voice, "Second Uncle, carry me! That way we can walk faster. Or we can just ride horses; we'll definitely get there in no time." As she spoke, she clapped her little hands excitedly.

At this moment, Mo Junye, who was standing to the side, showed a hint of hesitation on his face.

In fact, deep down he also longed to visit his maternal grandmother with his sister and second uncle.

However, the thought that the Grand Tutor would be coming to check his homework soon made him feel troubled.

Yun Ziyu was incredibly perceptive and instantly noticed Mo Junye's hesitation.

So he gently patted Mo Junye's head and softly comforted him, "The Grand Tutor has assigned so much homework to you, little one. It seems you'll be quite busy today. But don't worry, I'll come to pick you up again at dinner time, and we can have dinner together then, how about that?"

He knew very well that Mo Zhiyuan was extremely dependent on this older brother.

After hearing this, Mo Zhiyuan tilted her head obediently and thought for a moment, then nodded, "It seems like that's okay, brother."

Then, she turned to face Mo Junye and earnestly instructed him, "Alright then, brother, you must remember to eat your lunch properly and not be picky. I'm going to visit Grandma now. I'll tell her that even though I'm busy with my homework, I miss her very much."

Looking at his sensible and adorable younger sister, Mo Junye smiled and replied, "Okay, brother will remember."

Seeing this, Yun Ziyu secretly chuckled to himself.

What a clever little one! She's still just a tiny baby who's barely learned to use chopsticks, yet she already knows how to so thoughtfully remind others to eat properly.

General's Mansion.

"Grandma! Grandma—" One after another, clear and childlike calls rang out, as melodious as orioles singing in a valley in spring.

"Grandmother, are you there? I heard from my second uncle that you are sick, so Zhiyuan came here to visit you!" Mo Zhiyuan took light steps, passing through the winding corridors, and headed straight for the backyard.

At this moment, in the backyard courtyard, Mica was quietly lying on a comfortable recliner, enjoying the warm sunshine.

A gentle breeze swept by, ruffling a few strands of silver hair at her temples.

Upon hearing that familiar call, Yunmu slowly opened her slightly closed eyes, and a loving smile immediately appeared on her lips.

"Oh dear, it's my little darling Zhiyuan visiting her grandmother! Hurry, hurry!" Yunmu said, struggling to sit up.

"How do I look? Please don't frighten my precious baby." Yunmu said anxiously to the maid beside her, "Quickly, come and help me up."

"Coming, coming, Madam, don't be anxious." A clever maidservant rushed forward upon hearing the voice and carefully helped Yunmu up from the recliner.

"Help me up quickly, let's go greet my dear granddaughter!" Yunmu said with a face full of joy. As soon as she finished speaking, she gently patted her cheeks, as if that would make her complexion look better.

The old nanny who had served Yunmu since childhood, standing to the side, couldn't help but laugh when she saw this.

He gently comforted her, "Don't worry, Madam. Your complexion is much better than before, and you've recovered quite well."

After frowning and pondering for a moment, Yunmu muttered softly, "I really don't know which gossipy person told my little granddaughter about my illness. How can I be at ease if my precious granddaughter catches the disease?"

"After thinking it over, it must have been that brat Yun Ziyu who did it. He disappeared early this morning, he's such a worry," Yun's mother said indignantly.

The old nanny standing beside her quickly comforted her, "Madam, please don't worry. In my opinion, the second young master knows that you miss the two children, so he specially went to the palace to welcome the princess to visit you."

"Just think about it, when you see the well-behaved and sensible little princess, you will definitely feel much happier and more relaxed, and maybe this illness will be cured as well."

She then added, "Moreover, the Second Young Master has always been meticulous and prudent in his actions. He must have known that your condition had improved, which is why he went to fetch the Princess without worry. Madam, you must not misunderstand the Second Young Master's sincere filial piety."

Hearing this, Yunmu couldn't help but laugh out loud.

She turned her head and glared at the nanny reproachfully, pretending to be angry, and said, "Look at you, you watched these two children grow up with your own eyes. I haven't even said anything to blame them yet, and you're already defending them. Oh well, I understand his filial piety."

After saying this, the two smiled at each other, linked arms, and slowly walked towards the front yard together.

Halfway there, they saw Yun Ziyu and Mo Zhiyuan coming towards them.

Mo Zhiyuan spotted that familiar and dear figure in the distance—it was her beloved maternal grandmother. Her eyes instantly brightened like stars, sparkling with joy.

Without hesitation, she forcefully broke free from Yun Ziyu's hand and, like a joyful little deer, eagerly ran towards Yunmu.

"Slow down! Slow down! My little grandson, don't run so fast, be careful not to fall, ouch..." Seeing this, Yunmu quickly squatted down, opened her arms, and called out with a worried expression.

However, Mo Zhiyuan acted as if she hadn't heard, and continued to rush forward in a whirlwind.

Upon getting closer, Yunmu tightly grasped Mo Zhiyuan's small hand, but couldn't help but frown and exclaim, "Oh dear, how can this little hand be so cold? Did your second uncle bring you here on horseback? Why didn't you take a carriage? Really!"

As she spoke, Yunmu raised her head and glared at Yun Ziyu, who was standing to the side, with a hint of anger.
