Chapter 423 Rescuing the Grandfather and Grandson

Yunying found the grandfather and his two grandchildren under a very thick tree.

When she appeared in front of the grandfather and grandson, the child immediately became wary and stood in front of them with a look of fear on his face.

"Sister, I've already given the money." The child's voice trembled, filled with fear and terror.

"Alright, don't be afraid. We're not here to ask for food back. What's your name? Who are they? What's your relationship with them?" Yunying looked at the ragged child in front of her, a feeling of pity welling up in her heart, but she remained calm and asked three questions in a row.

The child trembled slightly upon hearing this, seemingly hesitant about whether to answer.

He glanced back at his grandfather and sister, and finally mustered up his courage to say, "I... I am Yin Qinghuan, this is my sister Yin Shaoxi, and the person who is unconscious is my grandfather Yin Yi."

His voice was soft, tinged with fear and unease, but there was no panic in his eyes.

Yunying nodded, then asked, "Are you from near Minchuan? Are you planning to flee to the capital?" Her gaze fell on the child, trying to find the answer in his expression.

Hearing this, Yin Qinghuan relaxed his guard slightly. He looked down at his grandfather lying on the ground, a trace of sadness flashing in his eyes, and then slowly explained to Yunying, "Yes, we are from Minchuan. There was a disaster there recently, and many people died. We had to flee there, hoping to seek refuge in the capital. But Grandpa was injured on the way and has been unconscious ever since. I don't know what to do."

At this point, Yin Qinghuan's voice choked up, and tears welled up in his eyes.

"Do you know anyone in the capital?" Yunying asked in surprise.

Minchuan is quite far from the capital. Even traveling by carriage driven by fine horses, it would take five or six days without stopping, and if they relied solely on their own two feet, it would take at least several months.

“We were on our way to the capital to visit relatives, but we encountered a group of thugs on the way. They robbed us of everything, and even pushed Grandpa to the ground, knocking him unconscious. Sister, please, have mercy and save Grandpa. We will pay you when he wakes up.”

Yunying initially thought that when Yin Qinghuan mentioned being injured, he meant that the old man had fainted from hunger. However, upon hearing Yin Qinghuan's words, she realized that the situation was somewhat serious.

She strode forward, carefully examining the old man's injuries. Her brow furrowed slightly, and her tone was grave: "There are no obvious marks on the surface, but judging from the situation, he must have suffered serious internal injuries. Do you know where Grandpa bumped into?"

Upon hearing this, a glimmer of hope flashed in Yin Qinghuan's eyes. This seemingly cool older sister actually knew medicine!

He quickly knelt beside his grandfather, looking at Yunying with hopeful eyes, and kowtowed, pleading, "Sister, please save Grandpa! There were too many people and it was too chaotic. I... I don't know what Grandpa bumped into. I only remember that he woke up once in the middle of the journey, pointed in a direction and said we should go in that direction, and then he fell into a coma again."

Upon hearing this, Yunying couldn't help but sigh softly. She turned to look at Feng Tianxing, a helpless expression on her face.

Feng Tianxing frowned, and after a moment of silence, said, "Under these circumstances, it's really not appropriate to continue discussing things. It's more important to take the old man back first and do our best to save his life."

Yunying nodded in agreement.

She believed that even if Yun Qingluo were standing here right now, she would make the same decision.

After all, even if she wanted to negotiate, she couldn't. She couldn't exactly talk to these two kids about serving for ten years.

Feng Tianxing took a few steps forward, quickly squatted down, and carefully carried Yin Yi on his back. Then, he easily lifted Yin Shaoxi with one hand and walked firmly toward the carriage.

Yunying originally planned to have Feng Tianxing carry the old man while she went to hold the two children.

But seeing how easily Feng Tianxing carried her on his back and in his arms, she silently shut her mouth and said no more.

She picked up Yin Qinghuan and said in a calm but firm voice, "Come with me. We have a miracle doctor who will save your grandfather. Don't worry."

Yin Qinghuan's movements were stiff. She hesitated for a moment, but still nodded. "Sister, Grandpa and my sister will be alright, right?"

Hearing the little one's tummy rumble, Yunying smiled and said, "Yes, your grandpa and your sister will be safe and sound. Oh, and you too..."

Before Yunying could finish speaking, she felt a weight on her shoulder. Looking down, she saw that Yin Qinghuan had obviously fainted.

Yunying's expression was complicated as she quickened her pace and walked towards the carriage.

"Madam, the old master and the child are both unconscious, only this little girl is awake." Yunying and Feng Tianxing placed the person in the vacated carriage and returned to the front to report.

Yun Qingluo looked at the little girl in Yun Ying's arms. She was extremely thin and looked to be only two or three years old.

When Yun Qingluo met those bewildered and confused eyes, her heart melted completely. Her Qianyue's eyes were just as beautiful.

"Give it to me, and I'll trouble Master and Uncle to take care of that grandfather and granddaughter." Yun Qingluo took the little girl, who had been cleaned and wrapped in an ill-fitting set of adult clothes, and held her on her lap.

He then asked his master and uncle to go to the back of the carriage to help check on Yin Yi and Yin Qinghuan.

"Leave those two to us. Don't worry, even if they're on their last breath, we can bring them back from the brink of death," the Ghost Doctor said as he stepped out of the carriage.

Outside the carriage, Feng Tianxing waited with two oil-paper umbrellas in his hands.

Yun Qingluo looked down at the little girl in her arms and was surprised to find that she was staring at her without crying or making a fuss, with a calm look in her eyes.
