No sooner had Saint Chuli finished speaking than Black Wind pulled his horse's head back.
Sheng Chuhan watched Hei Feng leave, feeling puzzled.
That's strange. She seemed to see a sense of grievance in Black Wind's eyes.
Is this world a fantasy?
But seeing that as soon as Sheng Chuli spoke, Hei Feng obediently walked away, she felt it was amazing. For a moment, she felt more favorably towards Hei Feng, and her fear subsided.
"Brother, Black Wind really listens to you! It's so intelligent!" Sheng Chuhan exclaimed in surprise.
Saint Chuli nodded, slapped it, and whispered something in Black Wind's ear.
Then Black Wind turned his head away, seemingly angry.
Sheng Chuhan was taken aback and asked curiously, "Second Brother, what did you say to Black Wind? Why does it seem unhappy?"
Saint Chuli's expression froze as he looked at Black Wind, wondering why this guy would betray him at such a crucial moment.
He recalled what he had just said to Black Wind, and for a moment his expression became somewhat unnatural.
He looked away and said it was nothing.
"Black Wind, it's time to leave." Saint Chuli composed himself, leaned down slightly, and whispered in Black Wind's ear.
As soon as the words were spoken, Black Wind raised its head and let out a high-pitched and loud screech. Then, its agile body spun gracefully in place, and then rushed forward like a gust of wind, kneeling down steadily.
The enormous head bowed low, directly facing the direction where Saint Chuhan was standing.
Seeing this, Saint Chuli couldn't help but smile slightly, secretly chuckling to himself, "Black Wind, you really know how to please people."
He slowly turned around, his gaze gently falling on Sheng Chuhan. At the same time, he extended his right hand, palm up, and said with a smile, "Little princess, please mount your horse."
At this moment, Sheng Chuhan was completely stunned by the scene before her. She stared wide-eyed at Hei Feng and Sheng Chuli, her mouth slightly open, but she couldn't utter a single word for a long time.
She was truly deeply shocked.
The scene was so astonishing that those around were stunned and stood frozen in place. Unaware of what was happening, some people walked over and bumped into each other. A commotion broke out in the army. Liu Teng quickly regained his composure and, along with several generals, went to command the troops.
Saint Chuli stood quietly beside Black Wind, who remained kneeling with his front knee on the ground, motionless, obediently and patiently waiting.
Sheng Chuhan stared at Hei Feng, a strong premonition suddenly welling up in her heart—Hei Feng was waiting specifically for her to mount her horse.
Saint Chuli glanced around, and the soldiers, caught by his gaze, immediately looked away.
But some people were still secretly watching out of the corner of their eyes, which shows how shocking what had just happened was.
"Little princess? Come here." Sheng Chuli looked at Sheng Chuhan, who was still standing there dumbfounded, and felt a sense of helplessness. He could only urge her.
Sheng Chuhan snapped out of her daze and saw that Sheng Chuli looked somewhat impatient, so she immediately stepped forward and stood in front of Hei Feng.
Sheng Chuhan lifted her leg, just as she was about to ride the horse, when Sheng Chuli picked her up and put her directly on the horse's back.
Sheng Chuhan was startled and was about to speak when she heard Sheng Chuli's deep voice beside her, "Sit still and don't move. Hei Feng is about to get up."
As soon as he finished speaking, Hei Feng stood up, and Sheng Chuhan quickly grabbed the reins tightly with both hands to steady himself.
After Hei Feng stood up, Sheng Chuli leaped onto his horse, sat behind Sheng Chuhan, and reached his hands from her waist to the front to take the reins from her hands.
"Put your hat on properly, or you'll get cold later," Saint Chuli said in a low voice.
He was not wearing armor today, but rather light clothing, with a black fox fur cloak draped over his shoulders.
Sheng Chuhan leaned against Sheng Chuli's chest, her heart pounding, and for a moment she couldn't hear what Sheng Chuli was saying.
Seeing that Sheng Chuhan did not make any move, Sheng Chuli sighed and reached out a hand to put the hat on Sheng Chuhan's head.
“If you’re scared, you can hold on here. Once you’re used to it, you can take your hands out. Otherwise, the wind is cold and your hands will get frozen.” After saying that, Saint Chuli whistled at the black wind, and the black wind nimbly ran off.
Black Wind suddenly galloped forward, startling Sheng Chuhan so much that she gripped the front of the saddle tightly, all her little thoughts vanishing.
"Brother, it's too fast." Sheng Chuhan couldn't help but whisper.
But her voice was too soft and dissipated in the wind.
Sheng Chuhan looked dejected, thinking that Sheng Chuli hadn't heard her clearly, but the next second, the speed of the black wind slowed down.
Saint Chuli asked in a low voice, "What did you just say?"
The hot breath blowing on her ear made Sheng Chuhan blush, and she murmured softly, "No, it's nothing, it's just that Hei Feng ran too fast."
It was too bumpy; she couldn't take it.
Saint Chuli raised an eyebrow, thinking she was scared, but it turned out she wasn't?
Saint Chuli stared regretfully at the gap between himself and Saint Chuhan.
Along the way, the more frightened Sheng Chuhan became, the more he leaned forward, until he was almost pressed against the horse's back, which was only managed by forcefully pulling him back.
"Why are you running forward? Are you afraid of me?" Saint Chuli asked in a low voice, his tone devoid of any emotion.
Upon hearing this, Sheng Chuhan quickly explained, "No, it's just that I don't know either."
The thought of leaning on Saint Chuli's shoulder made her heart race, so she leaned forward to keep her heart from racing.
Saint Chuli noticed her unease but didn't press the matter further. He coughed and instructed Black Wind to move forward slowly.
"Are you cold?" After a while, Saint Chuli broke the silence and asked.
Sheng Chuhan shook her head and said it wasn't cold.
The next second, her hand was grabbed and put back into her cloak. As a result, Sheng Chuhan could only feel a little safe by clinging tightly to Sheng Chuli's arms.
