Extra Chapter: Xu Laosan 10

The little girl looked at me seriously and said, "I don't like people who have inappropriate thoughts about you being around you. Now that you're my boyfriend, you should be aware of that."

I know that with this girl's personality, if I don't meet her demands now, she might turn around and leave, and I'll never have another chance.

I smiled and assured them, "I understand. Don't worry, I won't let any other women get close to me in the future, except for my family."

Shao Shuhua finally cheered up and looked up at me coquettishly, saying, "I'm hungry."

I took her hand and said, "I'll take you to eat something delicious."

The little girl stopped talking about needing to practice driving and obediently got into the car with me.

Since they started dating, the girl has become very clingy, rushing to the company whenever she has free time.

The front desk staff had gotten used to it and would greet people happily. As the two interacted more, their relationship improved. I saw them huddled together several times, chatting about something, and they both seemed very happy.

To please the girl, the day after we started dating, I sent my secretary to take charge of a business in another area, but I still officially promoted her.

Uncle Xu Yao seemed to have noticed something, and patted my shoulder meaningfully, "Kid, no wonder you have a PhD in economics, not bad!"

Not long after, my family found out about my relationship with Shao Shuhua. Actually, I didn't intend to hide it from them, but I was afraid that the girl wasn't ready yet, so I didn't think there was any rush.

While I was in a meeting, I received a barrage of calls from Comrade Yang Chunqin. My pager kept receiving messages.

Uncle Xu smiled and leaned closer to me after seeing this, saying, "Is your girlfriend looking for you?"

I put the pager in his hand and gave a helpless smirk.

Xu Yao: "This thing is convenient, but it's also troublesome and so expensive. Only young people like you are willing to use it."

The pager I have here was actually prepared by my brother-in-law for Uncle Xu a long time ago, but he just doesn't want to use it, saying it's troublesome and he keeps complaining that it's too expensive. Such a small thing is enough for the whole family to live on for half a year.

Uncle Xu has suffered a lot. Although he was once a rich young master who lived a carefree life, after those ten years, his lifestyle changed completely. He seemed to be afraid that he would fall into the abyss again at any time.

Because of this, Uncle Xu's decisions are sometimes much more conservative.

He actually knew his own reasons for this, so he always said that my return was a timely help for the company.

We are pioneers of two different generations of ideas, and also the best partners who promote each other.

Uncle Xu treated me like his own son, always teaching me everything he knew without reservation at work.

His knowledge and experience are exactly what I need most, while my boldness is something he lacks.

I called Comrade Yang Chunqin back as soon as the meeting was over, otherwise my pager would have exploded.

As soon as the call connected, Yang Chunqin's loud voice came through the phone line, "Are you trying to emulate Guoqing's old cow chasing after a young girl? I heard you're dating Shuhua? Oh my! What a great girl! Why can't you see that? What's so great about you? You've always been a troublemaker, and that's all that makes you look good. But that's all thanks to your dad and me, not you. When are you bringing Shuhua over for dinner? I need to cook her something nice to win her over, otherwise she might dump you one day. It's so hard being a parent, we even have to help you woo that girl."

Ms. Yang Chunqin rattled off a string of words, completely disregarding my feelings.

Isn't it said that parents love their youngest son and eldest grandson the most? Why can't I find any sign that they like me, their youngest son, in our family?

It's heartbreaking!

However, I think that since Comrade Yang Chunqin already knows about this, the Shao family probably knows as well. I need to go home and discuss with my family about proposing marriage to the Shao family.

"Third brother, where is he? Say something!"

I deliberately provoked Comrade Yang Chunqin by making a "squeak" sound into the telephone receiver.

Comrade Yang Chunqin was stunned for a while, and then she began to roar: "Xu Laosan, can you be serious for once? You're really like a dog that will climb up the roof and tear off the tiles if you don't discipline it for a day. See how I complain to Shuhua."

I couldn't help but chuckle: "Mom, don't worry, Shuhua and I are doing great!"

"I brought Shuhua back for dinner today. Your grandpa and grandma both want to meet the child."

"I'll ask her if it's convenient for her."

"Okay! Ask her nicely, don't scare the little girl. Tell her we are all very easy-going adults."

"I know, I know, I'll put in a good word for you."

"You brat! You're never serious!" Comrade Yang Chunqin's loud voice started again.

I hung up the phone immediately, fearing that my eardrums might be damaged.

It wasn't time to leave work yet, but I just couldn't sit still. I felt restless and really wanted to see the little girl.

I don't know what kind of spell this girl cast on me, but now I always want to see her.

I grabbed my car keys and headed out.

When Uncle Xu saw me leaving, he called out to me, "Going home?"

I nodded guiltily.

"Take these documents back to your brother-in-law. Some are for his decision, and others are for when you encounter some problems. Let him see what suggestions he has."

I took the document and put it in my bag.

Since I'm new here and currently working on securities matters, there are still many things in the company that I'm not very familiar with. Uncle Xu is indeed very capable.

I drove to Shao Shuhua's workplace, checked my watch and it wasn't time to leave work yet, so I sat in the car and waited. Bored, I fell asleep.

I was woken up by Shao Shuhua.

When she came out of the building after get off work, she saw my car parked there. She came over and saw that I was asleep, so she knocked on the car window.

"Are you off work?" I asked, rolling down the car window.

"You've been here long? Why do you look so tired?"

"It's alright, I just arrived a bit early and took a nap because I was bored."

After the girl got in the car, she raised an eyebrow at me and teased, "You missed me that much?"

I couldn't resist pinching her cheek and replied, "Mmm! I've been missing you terribly!"

"Are you going to take me out for something delicious again?"

“My family knows about us,” I said tentatively, looking at her.

"Isn't this just a matter of time? I didn't hide it at all; I wanted the whole world to know so that no one would bother with you anymore," the little girl said proudly.

"My mom wants you to come over for dinner."

"Okay! When?"

I didn't expect this girl to be so straightforward. She's always been decisive since she was little, and I didn't expect her to be so decisive in matters of the heart as well.

"Is today okay?"

"Sure, should I dress up a bit? After all, it's my first time visiting, and what kind of gifts should I buy? What do Grandpa, Grandma, and Mom like? Oh, right, Dad shouldn't be here, right?"

If we weren't at her workplace, I really wanted to hug her and give her a good kiss; this girl is just too adorable.
