Chapter 117 Locked in the Multimedia Classroom

In the afternoon, sunlight streamed in obliquely through the side window of the infirmary.

Qin Beiming leaned back lazily in the recliner, staring blankly at the small porcelain bottle in his hand. His slightly calloused fingers repeatedly touched the bottle until it was completely warm, but he still couldn't bear to let go.

Recalling the scene this morning when Ling Mo called his name and personally placed the Rejuvenation Pill into his hand, Qin Beiming's heart suddenly raced, and a heartfelt joy appeared on his face.

Knock knock knock—

Just as he was lost in a romantic fantasy, a girl he didn't recognize suddenly knocked on the door of the infirmary's break room.

"What's up?"

Qin Beiming's pale amber pupils flickered slightly in the sunlight as he coldly stared at the girl who had poked her head through the crack in the door.

"Medical Assistant Qin, Senior Ling Mo from Class F of Senior Three asked me to personally deliver this letter to you. I am just a messenger."

The girl timidly moved into the room, feeling a little difficult to breathe due to Qin Beiming's powerful aura.

"oh?"

Qin Beiming slightly rose, casually stretching out his legs which had been crossed. His sharp, hawk-like eyes, beneath his imposing, sword-like eyebrows, stared directly at the uneasy girl, and he said coldly:

"She clearly has my WeChat account. If she needs something, she can just say it on WeChat. Why does she need you to deliver the letter?"

"I..."

Under the intense pressure of Qin Beiming's overwhelming aura, the girl began to sob softly.

"Alright. Leave the letter on the table, you can leave now."

Qin Beiming waved his hand impatiently; he had never liked girls who cried. Hearing the girl's sobs now only made his head throb.

"ah?"

The girl was stunned, not expecting Qin Beiming to let her go so easily.

After a moment, when she came to her senses, she didn't care about anything else and ran towards the outside of the infirmary.

After the girl jogged away, Qin Beiming slowly pulled out a tissue and repeatedly wiped the envelope. After fussing over it for three or four minutes, he finally opened the envelope and roughly glanced at the unrestrained and bold cursive script on the letter:

[Dear Medical Assistant Qin, I'm so grateful for your help this morning. I felt so warm inside by your care and love. As the saying goes, a drop of kindness deserves a spring of gratitude. I hope you'll give me a chance to repay you properly. See you in the multimedia classroom on the first floor of the lab building after school.]

Qin Beiming glanced at it and knew that the letter could not have been written by Ling Mo.

First, let's talk about the font. Although the writer tried his best to imitate Ling Mo's bold and unrestrained font, he only managed to capture the basics; it was similar in form but lacked the spirit.

Furthermore, Ling Mo is strong-willed by nature and would never repeatedly emphasize, as in the letter, how much she enjoys his care and love.

Thinking of this, he casually tossed the letter into the wastebasket and then sent Ling Mo a message:

Someone is using your name to invite me to a small gathering in the multimedia classroom on the first floor of the lab after school. What are your plans?

Let's go take a look.

Ling Mo mentally rehearsed what was about to happen again, his face remaining as calm and composed as ever.

Just after replying to Qin Beiming's WeChat message, Gu Tingbai sneaked in through the back door of Class F right on time, presenting Ling Mo with the warm milk he was holding.

"Sister Mo, drink more milk to supplement your calcium intake. You are in your peak growth period, so you must pay attention to a balanced diet."

Gu Tingbai was muttering to herself when suddenly, as if remembering something important, she turned around and then leaned close to Ling Mo's ear, whispering:

"Oh, right, there's something I almost forgot to tell you. A freshman from the first year of high school suddenly came over and said that Third Brother invited you to a small gathering in the multimedia classroom on the first floor of the lab after school."

"oh?"

Ling Mo responded indifferently, casually opened the cap of the milk bottle, and took a small sip.

"That's what that person told me. But I don't understand why Third Brother would have a complete stranger, a freshman, deliver a message. Maybe he wanted to try something different." Gu Tingbai shrugged and muttered to himself.

Ling Mo ignored him, only staring coldly at the milk bottle in his hand, and asked with slight doubt:

"Xiao Bai, think carefully, who else besides you has touched this bottle of milk?"

"It seems like I'm the only one who touched it."

Gu Tingbai scratched his head, puzzled, and asked, "What's wrong? Could it have gone bad?"

"A large amount of drugs used to induce arousal were added to the milk."

"What the heck?"

Gu Tingbai stared wide-eyed in astonishment at the milk bottle in Ling Mo's hand, his voice trembling with fear as he said:

"Sister Mo, you're not kidding me, are you? How could there be that kind of drug in milk?"

Ling Mo said firmly:

"The person who added drugs to the milk had a clear purpose: to see me get infected."

Seeing that Ling Mo didn't seem to be joking at all, Gu Tingbai straightened his expression and asked, puzzled:

"Sister Mo, since you knew the milk was spiked with drugs, why did you drink it so much? Also, do you already know who spiked it?"

"The medicine tastes sweet and is quite delicious."

Ling Mo casually wiped the milk stains from the corner of his mouth and added lightly, "Don't worry, everything is under my control."

In fact, she sensed something was wrong the moment she received Qin Beiming's WeChat message.

With the addition of the problematic milk delivered by Gu Tingbai, she was able to figure out the whole story.
