Chapter 177 Old Madam Qin is hospitalized

Fu Yunque hesitated for several seconds before cautiously nodding:

"The renowned physician is very concerned about Madam Qin's condition. After learning last night that Madam Qin was about to undergo heart surgery, the physician worked through the night to draft a surgical plan and sent it to my email at around 5 a.m.

Where is he now? Could you please introduce us?

This morning, Qin Beiming discovered that the bounty he posted on the dark web had been accepted, but the person who accepted the bounty did not receive a single penny of the reward.

It was precisely because of this that he was extremely curious about the identity of this divine physician.

Fu Yunque shook his head, looking slightly embarrassed, and said, "The Heavenly Physician rarely shows his true face, so it may be inconvenient to introduce him."

Whether out of personal motives or other reasons, he did not want Qin Beiming to know Ling Mo's alias "Divine Healer".

"If that's the case, then forget it."

Qin Beiming was not used to prying into other people's privacy.

After learning that the renowned healer was unwilling to show his face, they had no choice but to give up.

Madam Qin originally thought that the air would be filled with a strong sense of tension as soon as the two met.

Just when I was thinking of watching the exciting scene of rivals fighting, I didn't expect that the two of them could actually exchange a few words in a calm and peaceful manner.

Something's not right! Isn't this a bit too harmonious?

Generally speaking, when rivals meet, they'll at least exchange a few harsh words!

To add some spice to this doomed rivalry drama, Old Madam Qin's eyes flashed, and she quickly grabbed Qin Beiming's arm, launching into a tirade:

"Beibei, you don't know anything about medicine, so what are you whispering to Dr. Fu about? You'd be better off bringing my precious granddaughter-in-law over to chat with me and cheer me up."

When Ling Mo was mentioned, Qin Beiming's expression became noticeably unnatural.

After hesitating for a long while, he finally said something vague:

"She is busy with her studies and cannot spare the time for the moment."

However, he was immediately slapped in the face by Ling Mo as soon as he finished speaking.

After a soft knock, Ling Mo, carrying an oversized pink plush toy, entered the ward amidst the stares of everyone.

"Grandma, I'm so sorry. I've been very busy lately, and I only found out last night from Xiaobai that you were recuperating in the hospital."

Ling Mo handed the plush toy in his arms to Old Madam Qin, only to find that there was already a similar plush toy in a different color lying on her sickbed.

She subconsciously reached out and poked the brown plush toy on the hospital bed, chuckling softly:

"It seems someone has already sent you the doll before me."

"Mo Bao'er, Grandma misses you so much."

Old Madam Qin happily accepted the pink plush toy from Ling Mo's arms, raised her eyebrows smugly, and then launched into a tirade against Qin Beiming:

"Mo Bao'er is so thoughtful. She knows I like pink, so even the plush toy she gave me is pink and cute. Unlike you, you just grabbed an ugly plush toy and thought you were getting it over with, which makes you seem insincere."

Ling Mo glanced indifferently at Qin Beiming, who stood beside him with a serious expression, and the smile on his face suddenly turned cold.

If she had known Qin Beiming was also there, she shouldn't have come at this time.

After confessing her feelings to Qin Beiming through the game platform last night but receiving no response, Ling Mo made up her mind to stay far away from him from now on.

Unexpectedly, she ran into him again by sheer coincidence.

To hide his embarrassment, Ling Mo silently lowered his head and whispered to Old Madam Qin:

"Grandma, I have class soon, so I'm going back to school now. I'll come see you later."

"So rushed?"

Madam Qin glanced at Qin Beiming, who was standing silently to the side, and immediately noticed that something was wrong.

Judging from their awkward silence towards each other, they looked just like a young couple having a cold war.

The problem is that Qin Beiming's loyal nature means that even if he's angry, he can't possibly ignore Ling Mo.

If it wasn't a Cold War, then Qin Beiming must have done it on purpose, right?

Old Madam Qin was a perceptive person, and she saw through Qin Beiming's thoughts at a glance.

Similarly, she could also sense Ling Mo's increasingly depressed mood due to Qin Beiming's indifferent attitude.

I kept thinking of saying something, but the words got stuck in my throat.

She felt sorry for Qin Beiming, who clearly loved Ling Mo deeply but had to let go, yet dared not say anything, lest she waste Ling Mo's precious youth.

"Alas...fate plays tricks on people."

A layer of mist formed in Madam Qin's clear eyes. She was always sentimental and couldn't bear to see even the slightest bit of heartbreak in a relationship.

"Grandma, eat less fried chicken. I'll bring you something delicious after school." Ling Mo didn't hear what Madam Qin was muttering. He only wanted to escape as quickly as possible, so he suddenly got up and made a move to walk out of the ward.

"Okay."

Old Madam Qin responded slowly, then reached out and nudged Qin Beiming, who was standing idly to the side, and lowered her voice to say:

"Beibei, aren't you going to see them off?"

"No need, I know this road well."

Not wanting to put Qin Beiming in a difficult position, Ling Mo spoke up for him first.

Fu Yunque also noticed that Qin Beiming seemed unusually cold today, and unconsciously frowned.

Seeing that Qin Beiming remained silent, he put down his notebook and personally escorted Ling Mo to the elevator. "Ling Mo, take care on your way."

After leaving the ward, Ling Mo no longer bothered to hide his dejection and simply replied sullenly:

"What could possibly happen in broad daylight? You should go back now."
