"I...I might have overslept," Gu Tingbai stammered, his eyes darting around.
"You're not telling the truth." Ling Mo immediately sensed something was wrong, and a look of anxiety suddenly appeared in his eyes. "Xiao Bai, what exactly happened?"
After hesitating for a moment, Gu Tingbai finally succumbed to Ling Mo's sharp gaze and confessed everything truthfully:
"Half an hour ago, on his way to the banquet, Third Brother's car suddenly broke down and exploded on the national highway."
"What did you say?! Where is he?"
"Don't worry, Sister Mo, Third Brother is fine. Assistant Chen said that Third Brother cut his arm on glass while protecting him and was immediately taken to the hospital for treatment." Gu Tingbai, seeing Ling Mo so anxious for the first time, didn't dare to be negligent and quickly explained.
"Don't worry, Third Sister-in-law. Third Brother didn't want us to tell you, mainly because he was afraid you'd worry," Huo Yunting added at the right moment.
"Which hospital is he in? I'll go find him right now."

Ling Mo clenched his fists tightly, his voice suddenly turned cold, and his words were filled with barely contained anger.
Gu Nanfeng spoke cautiously:
"It is said that the mastermind behind this incident was Madam Wei, who orchestrated it. Third Brother is no pushover either; he has already sent people to retaliate. Third Sister-in-law, please do not act rashly. This matter has far-reaching implications, and you could be in danger of losing your life if you are not careful."

Ling Mo's eyes darkened; he hadn't even considered Qin Beiming's foolish stepmother.
Anyone who dares to touch her will pay double the price.
"Brother Ting, are you guys having a tea party in a corner?"
Lu Jinjiu, dressed in a dark red suit, strode over with brisk steps. "Grandpa wants you to come upstairs and sit with him."
Upon seeing Ling Mo present, Lu Jinjiu became even more energetic, beaming with joy as he said:
"Sister Mo, would you like to come upstairs with me? If the old man sees you, he'll be overjoyed."
"It's inconvenient, you guys go up quickly."
Ling Mo shook his head, politely declining Lu Jinjiu's suggestion.
