"Zhan Hanjue still cares about you."
Although Qin Beiming had already sensed Zhan Hanjue's hostility towards him, he did not intend to take this opportunity to kick him while he was down and sow discord between the father and daughter.
Ultimately, his and Zhan Hanjue's initial intentions were the same.
His uncontrollable emotions stemmed from an uncontrollable love.
Zhan Hanjue's hostility towards him also stemmed from his concern and care for Ling Mo.
From this point of view alone, he felt that he and Zhan Hanjue could still get along peacefully.
Ling Mo lowered his head and said in a muffled voice:
"I'm terrified of losing it."
“Some people will always be there, like me. As for those people or things that are easily lost, there’s no need to dwell on them.” Qin Beiming affectionately stroked her head, delighted by Ling Mo’s increasing displays of genuine emotion in front of him.
"Third Master, why do I feel like you're petting a cat right now?"
Ling Mo gripped Qin Beiming's hand, which was lingering in her long, flowing hair, and said with slight dissatisfaction.
"Is there?"
Qin Beiming chuckled awkwardly, inwardly thinking that he didn't actually want to pet the cat; he clearly wanted to...sleep with her.
This girl's stamina is really strong; the more you watch her, the more addictive she becomes.
Ling Mo stared intently into Qin Beiming's deep, ancient eyes, catching a glimpse of the tenderness within them, and inadvertently broke out in goosebumps once more.
She quickly averted her gaze, afraid that she would be seduced by his good looks again, and hurriedly ran out of the rain shelter outside the police station, hoping that the cold rain would bring back her reason and composure.
Seeing that Ling Mo had disappeared into the torrential rain in the blink of an eye, Qin Beiming picked her up by the waist and shoved her into the car without saying a word.
After locking the car doors, he quickly turned on the heater and asked, puzzled:
"What were you thinking, running out into the rain in this freezing weather? What if you catch a cold?"
"I..."
Ling Mo was naturally too embarrassed to admit to his face that she had almost been tempted by him and had lost all her wild instincts, so she subtly changed the subject:
"It's almost midnight, I need to hurry back. Otherwise I won't be able to get up tomorrow morning, and Wanwan is waiting for me to go to the hospital with her."
"Take off your coat. Wearing wet clothes makes you more susceptible to catching a cold."
"oh."
Ling Mo was unusually obedient this time, carefully placing Qin Beiming's suit jacket aside.
But when she realized that her thin dress was soaked with rain and clung to her body, making it look somewhat erotic, she subconsciously raised her arm and tightly protected her chest.
Qin Beiming started the car, but his deep eyes uncontrollably fell on her.
After looking at it carefully for a while, realizing that he hadn't seen anything, he looked away and said indifferently, "Don't cover it up. It's a black dress, what can you see?"
"..."
Upon hearing this, Ling Mo also felt that this action was somewhat unnecessary, so he lowered his hands that were protecting his chest.
But as soon as she let go, Qin Beiming spoke up again, in a very annoying way:
"Still too thin."
"What?"
Ling Mo was speechless, finding it hard to understand why Qin Beiming was staring at her chest and saying she was too thin.
This behavior is simply too much...
She grew angrier the more she thought about it, and suddenly added:
Whether I'm fat or thin is none of your business.
"What's wrong?"
Qin Beiming was completely baffled and couldn't understand why she was angry.
He didn't seem to have said anything he shouldn't have.
She was naturally slender; isn't that a fact that anyone with eyes can see at a glance?
"Nothing much."
"Don't girls generally like it when others compliment them on how thin they are?"
Qin Beiming continued to reflect, unable to figure out the root cause, so he decided to be frank and open:
“I don’t mean anything by it. I just want to live with you and take care of your daily life. You don’t eat very regularly, so I’m thinking of preparing your three meals a day myself. I believe that before long, I can fatten you up nicely.”
"Fair and plump? Are you raising pigs?"
Ling Mo's lips twitched violently as he thought to himself that Qin Beiming probably didn't need a girlfriend at all; he needed a dairy cow more.
"..."
Qin Beiming was now certain that he had stepped on a landmine, and he instantly became terrified, no longer daring to say anything reckless.
After learning that Ling Mo had moved out of the Ling residence, he began to consider living with her.
She finally found a reasonable excuse, but unexpectedly it brought out her anger.
After reviewing everything that had just happened in his mind several times, he realized that it was probably when his gaze accidentally fell on her chest and he casually said, "You're still too thin," that he had angered her.
Thinking about it that way, he really went a bit too far.
Even after realizing his mistake, he still didn't know how to correct it.
Saying anything now seems inappropriate...
As the car slowly came to a stop in front of Villa No. 3 on Taoli Street, Ling Mo deftly opened the car door, jogged into the villa, and casually reached out to close the villa gate.
Seeing this, Qin Beiming quickly used his hand, still wrapped in gauze, to block the doorframe and asked repeatedly:
"May I come in?"
"inconvenient."
"Just one night... I injured my arm and it's inconvenient for me to move. The wound aches slightly if I move it even slightly." Qin Beiming gestured to her with his arm, which was starting to bleed again, and readily resorted to a self-inflicted injury.
"Come in first."
Ling Mo softened her heart and let him into the house.
Qin Beiming was delighted, thinking to himself that with a man and a woman alone in a room, their relationship was bound to deepen.
