Qin Beiming coldly watched Xuan Wei, who appeared trembling with fear in front of the cameras of various media outlets on the television news, then casually picked up the remote control and turned off the television with a "snap".
Ling Mo, whose identity was stolen by Xuan Wei, remained calm and focused on writing diligently.
"Are you rushing to finish your homework?"
Qin Beiming tilted his head and stared at her intently, his face filled with disbelief.
Having known her for so long, this is the first time I've seen her take school assignments so seriously.
"Ji Yan has already done my homework for me."
"You don't need to bother him with such a small thing in the future. I'll write it for you."
Ling Mo tilted her head, looking at him with a bright smile, "Why are you jealous over such a small thing?"
"You can actually tell I'm jealous?"
Qin Beiming really didn't expect that Ling Mo could still sense that he was jealous.
After all, she has always presented herself as an even more straightforward woman than a straight man.
"Does this even need to be looked at? Why would an ordinary person go out of their way to take on so much homework?" Ling Mo replied casually, his pen still spinning rapidly in his hand.
"That's true."
Qin Beiming smiled slightly, only then realizing that since he fell in love with her, his emotions had become increasingly outward.
He glanced casually at the desk in front of her, a hint of confusion suddenly flashing in his deep eyes:
"Are you analyzing other people's exam papers?"
"Yes. I looked through the midterm exam papers of the students in the class and listed everyone's problems and weaknesses in their studies so that they can review in a targeted manner." Ling Mo said seriously without stopping writing.
"As expected of my teacher, Ms. Ling."
Qin Beiming sighed softly, his deep, resonant voice suddenly tinged with a hint of bitterness:
"Teacher Xiaoling, when you have some free time, could you come and teach me?"
"..."
Ling Mo suddenly felt goosebumps all over his body. He looked up at Qin Beiming, who was so handsome under the night light that it was outrageous, and asked softly:
"What will I teach you?"
Qin Beiming did not reply. He suddenly placed his hands on the table, leaned forward abruptly, and gently kissed her lips before she could react.
Ling Mo was a little stunned by his sudden action. He stared blankly at Qin Beiming, who was standing close to him, his mind racing with thoughts.
What exactly does he mean by "teaching"?
Could it be that he wants her to teach him how to kiss?
But... isn't he quite good at it...?
Or perhaps, he wants to do something else?
The thought of this possibility made Ling Mo blush and instantly feel uneasy.
Seeing that Qin Beiming showed no sign of backing down, she suddenly grabbed his hand that was resting on her waist, shoved him aside, and said urgently:
"Third Master... Impulsiveness is the devil; if someone dies, it'll be hard to clean up the mess. Besides, I don't know how to do it either. How can I teach you?"
"Human life???"
Qin Beiming was completely bewildered.
Although he had long desired her, he wasn't so driven by lust as to make a move on someone so young.
However, seeing how charming and adorable she was, I couldn't help but tease her a little:
"Are you sure you won't? I seem to remember having a lot of intimate videos saved on your phone?"
"I already told you, that video is just an illegal advertisement that comes with the browser."
Ling Mo felt ashamed. He thought that if she continued like this, Qin Beiming would ruin her lifelong reputation sooner or later.
I've told him so many times that the video was just an accident, but he just won't believe me.
"Don't be shy, I know everything." Qin Beiming looked at Ling Mo's flushed face and suddenly felt an urge to pull her into his arms.
What do you know?
"You really don't know how. If you knew even a little bit, you wouldn't have kept your eyes open while I was kissing you."
Is there a difference between having your eyes open and closed?
"When you close your eyes, you feel more relaxed and more immersed in the experience," Qin Beiming replied softly.
Ling Mo belatedly realized, after carefully recalling the events, that in every movie or TV show, lovers kissed with their eyes closed.
However, she reacted very quickly and grasped the key point in the blink of an eye:
"Since you're so good at this, what do I need to teach you? I'll teach you to hold your breath and widen your eyes at the same time, and see who can last longer?"
Upon hearing this, Qin Beiming chuckled and said in a deep voice:
"It's not impossible."
"..."
Ling Mo felt as if he had been teased, and a strange sense of frustration suddenly arose in his heart.
Thinking she would tease him back, but somehow, the indoor lighting seemed to carry a drunken scent, and when it casually shone on Qin Beiming, it made her blush and her heart race.
After struggling for a while, Ling Mo found his heart beating faster and faster. He put down the large stack of papers on the table and ran towards the stairwell.
"I'm going back to my room to sleep."
"good."
Qin Beiming did not stop him, but only responded softly.
Before she went upstairs, Qin Beiming noticed that she subtly glanced towards the front door out of the corner of her eye, and he knew that the girl was actually waiting for Zhan Hanjue's return.
The reason he was acting out of character tonight, constantly teasing her, was simply to try and distract her.
Unfortunately, the effect was minimal.
Ling Mo had already taken Zhan Hanjue to heart, and even knowing that Zhan Hanjue had mistaken her for his daughter, his sudden departure could very likely hurt her.
However, if you break her heart completely, there will be no turning back.
She ran upstairs for less than ten seconds, then angrily shuffled back down in her slippers, locked the door with a "clack," and then lazily yawned before slowly going upstairs.
