Chapter 217 Third Master Ambushed

Ling Mo coldly glanced at Xuan Wei, whose eyes were filled with malice, and said, word by word:

"If you've made up your mind to be my enemy, you should be prepared to be crushed to pieces."

"What do you mean by that, Miss Ling? I don't understand."

Xuanwei realized that she had lost completely in this round of competition, so she stopped "fighting" and pretended to be confused.

"You only broke your arm, how come you can't even think straight?"

Ling Mo scoffed and was about to get up when Qin Beiming rushed over and picked her up in his arms.

"Are you injured?" Qin Beiming asked anxiously.

"How could someone possibly get injured on the second floor?"

Ling Mo shook his head, showing no signs of injury, and a hint of excitement lingered in his eyes.

Qin Beiming secretly breathed a sigh of relief, then whispered in her ear:

"An ordinary person falling from a building wouldn't be in this state, would they? With so many people watching, you should at least try to make it look more realistic."

"Um."

Ling Mo nodded, then leaned lazily against Qin Beiming's chest, saying nothing more.

"Girl, how are you?"

When Zhan Hanjue arrived shortly after, he saw Ling Mo leaning weakly against Qin Beiming's chest. He became so anxious that his face turned red, and he felt as if a hundred claws were scratching at his heart, causing him to lose his composure.

"I'm fine, but Xuanwei's hand seems to be broken."

Ling Mo offered a timely reminder, then nestled her head in Qin Beiming's arms, calmly looking at Xuan Wei who was still sobbing.

Zhan Hanjue was still not entirely at ease and was about to take Ling Mo to the nearest hospital for an X-ray when Li Wanwan and other students from Class F rushed out of the corridor, panting as they arrived.

"Classmate, how could you be so foolish? Even if you're going to save someone, you should at least ensure your own safety first!"

"Wanwan, don't block the way. Let Mr. Qin take Ling Mo to the infirmary first."

As they spoke, the students of Class F rushed to Ling Mo and quickly pushed the anxious Zhan Hanjue to the very edge.

"Dad, I think my arm is broken, it hurts so much..."

Seeing that no one came forward to help her, Xuanwei had no choice but to struggle to her feet on the lawn and walk slowly toward Zhan Hanjue, whose face was full of anxiety.

She carefully pressed her aching left arm, and large tears streamed down her face.

Zhan Hanjue frowned, looking down at the sobbing Xuan Wei, and asked coldly:

"How did you end up falling from the second floor out of nowhere?"

"I...I don't know what happened, the wall suddenly broke."

Xuanwei seemed a little guilty. At this moment, she didn't dare to look Zhan Hanjue in the eye at all. She lowered her head and sobbed softly.

"Mr. Zhan, please be patient. The school will definitely investigate this matter in a short time."

Zhu Siliang secretly breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that Xuanwei and Lingmo had only suffered minor injuries.

"Um."

Zhan Hanjue nodded, his sharp, hawk-like eyes coldly fixed on Xuan Wei, who had already been helped onto a stretcher.

At first, he pretended to accept Xuanwei as an imposter, just to see what her purpose was in deliberately getting close to him.

After all, it's easier to lure the enemy into the open and let them operate within your surveillance range than to be constantly on guard against a sudden, unexpected attack.

However, Xuanwei's actions were truly despicable. At this moment, let alone playing along with her, he had even developed murderous intent towards her.

Anyone who dares to scheme against his precious daughter, even if they had a hundred lives, wouldn't be enough to kill her.

He had intended to tear off Xuanwei's hypocritical mask in one fell swoop, but just as he was about to speak, he unexpectedly received a message from Ling Mo.

The simple phrase, "I'm fine," instantly calmed Zhan Hanjue's extremely anxious emotions.

The words stuck in his throat remained unspoken…

Meanwhile, Xuan Wei, lying on the stretcher, anxiously observed Zhan Hanjue's gloomy face.

His appearance at that moment was indeed quite frightening.

His face was grim, like a general who had just returned from a bloody battle; a single glance from him was enough to feel an intense sense of oppression.

Under these circumstances, Xuanwei dared not cry out in pain again.

She bit her lower lip lightly, silently shedding tears.

More than the physical pain, she feared that everything she had worked so hard to achieve would be reduced to ashes by this unexpected turn of events.

Zhan Hanjue saw Xuanwei's anxiety, but he didn't bother to say anything to comfort her.

After Xuanwei was carried into the infirmary, he turned around and went to the cubicle where Ling Mo was, mingling with a large group of F class students, anxiously waiting for the school doctor's diagnosis.

However, before the school doctor could even get close to Ling Mo, Qin Beiming kicked him out. Even the people who had been crowding inside the cubicle were also expelled.

"Why did you kick the school doctor out? Do you think you can treat people's illnesses and injuries?" Zhan Hanjue glared angrily at Qin Beiming, so anxious that he was about to grab his hair.

Qin Beiming completely ignored the anxious Zhan Hanjue, claiming that his fiancée would not allow any other man to come near her, and then closed the door.

"You little rascal! You're really getting more and more capable..."

Zhan Hanjue stared at the tightly closed door with a sense of frustration, thinking of breaking in, but then felt that such an action would be somewhat illegitimate.

After much deliberation, he calmed himself down and waited silently outside the cubicle.

Seeing that Zhan Hanjue was completely focused on Ling Mo and rarely noticed Xuan Wei, who was sobbing softly in another cubicle, Zhu Siliang was also a little confused.

However, he dared not concern himself with Zhan Hanjue's family affairs, turning a blind eye and pretending not to know anything.

On the other side, just as Qin Beiming closed the door, Ling Mo scurried off the bed, looking radiant, and said to him:
