Realizing that Ling Mo seemed to be deliberately distancing herself from him, Qin Beiming became even more agitated. He abruptly positioned himself between her and Fu Yunque, his tone particularly stiff as he spoke:
"What were you thinking, coming out into the rain in this freezing weather?"
"Mr. Qin, this is my fault..."
Fu Yunque looked apologetic and was about to explain when Ling Mo interrupted him directly:
"Dr. Fu, thank you for your hospitality. The rain is getting heavier, you should go home soon."
"good."
Fu Yunque nodded, his eyes filled with loneliness as he lowered them. Although he was somewhat worried about Ling Mo, and hesitated for a long time, he finally took the lively husky and left first.
Ling Mo glanced indifferently at Fu Yun Que's retreating figure, then turned around, completely ignoring Qin Bei Ming, and strode away.

Ling Mo's tone was slightly sour, and he said angrily:
"This morning, did you rush to the film set and get into a fight with Qin Shaojing because of her?"

Qin Beiming casually draped his coat over Ling Mo's head, his voice full of doting affection:

"And what's the deal with Xia Mu? If you have no connection with her at all, why would she dare to publicly announce her relationship?"
"Perhaps, the agency created a crazy persona for her."
"Even if everything you said is true, what did you mean by what you said when you fought with Qin Shaojing?"
"What I said at the time was that Xuanwei was my grandmother's savior, and that Shaojing should stop trying to take advantage of her."

After hearing Qin Beiming's explanation, Ling Mo realized that she had misunderstood him.
She pursed her lips, intending to apologize, but Qin Beiming covered her mouth and nose first, and said slowly:
"It was my oversight that I didn't inform you in advance, which caused you to feel upset."
"I thought you were really having an affair with Xia Mu. Luckily..."

Ling Mo suddenly realized that it was inappropriate for him and Fu Yun Que to be eating skewers and chatting in the rain. Feeling guilty, he hid the skewers behind his back and was about to quietly throw them away when Qin Bei Ming tightly gripped his wrist.
"We've already bought it, it would be such a waste to throw it away."
Qin Beiming took the greasy skewers from her hand and, with extreme elegance, took a small bite from the spot she had bitten.
"Didn't you complain that street vendors aren't clean?"
"It tastes really good."
"Don't force yourself if you don't like it." Seeing Qin Beiming's brows furrowed, Ling Mo simply snatched the now-cold skewers from his hand and threw them into the trash can.
Seeing that Ling Mo still looked preoccupied, Qin Beiming suddenly reached out and hugged her tightly, saying in a deep voice:
"MoMo, there's a question I've wanted to ask you this morning."
"Um?"
Ling Mo took out a napkin from his backpack and carefully wiped the grease off Qin Beiming's hands.
Qin Beiming hesitated for a long time before finally asking:
"Did I do something I shouldn't have done to you last night?"
"No."
"Tell me the truth, okay? I really have no recollection of it at all, and I have absolutely no intention of defaulting on my debt."
