The moment Qin Beiming opened the bathroom door, billowing steam carrying a strong killing intent poured out.
The half-face hidden in the darkness seemed to be corrupted by demonic energy, exuding a chilling aura that inspired fear.
Ling Mo, who was dozing off leaning against the bathroom door, suddenly lost his balance when the door was suddenly opened and fell straight to the ground.
She rubbed her eyes, somewhat bewildered, and looked up at Qin Beiming, who exuded an aloofness.
She originally wanted to apologize to him for her aloofness and indifference in the past few days, but his overly serious expression at the moment was truly frightening, making it impossible for her to utter the words stuck in her throat.
"Were you waiting for me?"
Qin Beiming slowly squatted down, looking at Ling Mo, who was somewhat dazed after suddenly waking up. His low, husky voice softened considerably in an instant.
"Um."
Ling Mo nodded slightly.
She tentatively raised her hands, which were resting on the cold tiles, wanting to give him a big hug.
In the end, however, he quietly withdrew.
When it comes to relationships, she is far less courageous than she usually is.
After being in a cold war with him for so long, she was unsure whether he was still angry with her.
Qin Beiming noticed her hesitation, so he simply picked her up and said gently, "The ground is cold."
"Third Master, do you think I'm particularly difficult to deal with?"
Qin Beiming paused for a moment, then asked softly:
"Are you still upset about what happened a few days ago?"
"Um."
Ling Mo lowered his eyes slightly, his hands unconsciously gripping the clothes hanger, and said in a very low voice:
"sorry."
"The one who should apologize is me."
Qin Beiming gently placed her on the bed, casually turned on the bedside lamp, and his voice became increasingly gentle:
"Maybe it's because I haven't given you enough security that you're so insecure. You know, I've never been good at expressing myself. There are some things I should have said a long time ago, but I always feel they're too cheesy and I'm reluctant to say them."
"How many cheesy things have you said already?"
Ling Mo, however, felt that Qin Beiming was not as bad at expressing himself as he claimed.
In fact, he not only speaks sweet words, but also expresses his emotions through body language from time to time.
If someone like him is considered not good at expressing himself, then wouldn't someone like her, who can't even apologize properly, be wasting such a brilliant language function in the history of biological evolution?
"Don't interrupt."
Qin Beiming made a shushing gesture, and then said:
"Actually, I was already hopelessly infatuated the moment we first met. The first time I met your wild and untamed eyes, I was suddenly reminded of myself when I was young."
At that moment, I knew we were kindred spirits. From then on, my love for you became uncontrollable; you were there when I opened my eyes, and you were there when I closed them.
As for the message that Lao Shi sent, it was purely fabricated by him.
Although I noticed the unusual medicinal scent emanating from you from the very beginning, I never intended to use you in the slightest.
The warm orange light shone on Qin Beiming's handsome face, subtly masking the chilling aura emanating from him.
He sat steadily on the edge of the bed, his eyes gentle and tender, as if he were bathed in warm sunshine, giving people a sense of extreme peace of mind.
As she listened quietly to him describe the scene of their first encounter, Ling Mo's thoughts were also drawn back to the day she was reborn.
That day, she was like a blood-soaked god of war returning from the dead, covered in sharp thorns, her only thought being to drag Su Yu and the others into the deepest hell.
Now, however, she seems to have been reborn from the ashes.
Beyond hatred and revenge, they also learned love and forgiveness.
As soon as Qin Beiming finished speaking, he gently pulled the blanket over her again.
He inadvertently touched the ring on her hand, the one he had given her when he proposed, and his heart was filled with joy.
However, after a moment's hesitation, he finally spoke with reason and restraint:
The main reason I keep asking you for a formal title is that I want the whole world to witness our love. As for when to hold the wedding, that's entirely up to you. I won't force you to get married before you're ready.
"Actually, I think what Mr. Smith said has some merit. Why don't we give it a try?"
"There's no need for that."
Qin Beiming solemnly rejected her suggestion, saying with particular seriousness:
"You can just ignore what Lao Shi said. Although I dream of having a child of our own, the existence of a child must not involve any exploitation whatsoever. His existence can only and must be out of love."
"Are you really not going to reconsider?"
Ling Mo frowned slightly, looking very conflicted.
She thought to herself that if Mr. Smith's proposal was feasible, she would indeed be willing to give it a try.
Although she had never considered something as far-fetched as pregnancy and childbirth before this.
But given the current special circumstances, she convinced herself to accept it all in a very short time.
"Not considering it."
Qin Beiming felt a pang of shame, but he felt that today should be the most successful day of his life.
Despite his heart being filled with longing from his beloved, he still maintained an unmoved demeanor.
"Third Master, you should think about it again carefully."
"..."
Qin Beiming felt even more aroused as he looked at Ling Mo's alluring yet oblivious demeanor.
He figured that if he stayed here any longer, he would most likely lose his will to stay.
Left with no other choice, he hastily said "Goodnight" and then got up and fled.
