Chapter 252 Shi Ying Appears

"Mo Mo, this time it's my turn to protect you."

Although Fu Yunque was terrified of the densely packed zombies surging towards him, he still mustered his courage and resolved to use his own flesh and blood to create a way for Ling Mo to escape.

However, just as he raised his axe, Ling Mo shoved him violently against the wall, saying with particular seriousness:

"Dr. Fu, now is not the time to show off. Close your eyes and don't look. Trust me, I can definitely handle these zombies."

"Can..."

Before Fu Yunque could say anything more, Ling Mo had already shot forward like an arrow released from a bow.

In the next instant, she flipped her wrist, and the crescent-shaped scimitar in her hand flew out with a "whoosh," as if it had transformed into a streak of light.

Where the light flashed, bloodstains were everywhere. Almost at the same time, the first dozen or so zombies had half their heads chopped off, collapsed to the ground, and spilled a head of black blood.

Immediately afterwards, Ling Mo suddenly soared into the air, and in the instant he spun around in mid-air, he steadily caught the crescent-shaped blade that had returned to his hand.

This time, the scimitar did not attack the endless stream of zombies, but instead smashed the dim streetlights on top.

With a series of sharp cracking sounds, several streetlights were destroyed by the crescent-shaped blade. The glass shards on their bulbs fell like stars from the sky, seemingly without any pattern, yet with an unerring accuracy, striking the zombies' heads one after another.

Watching wave after wave of zombies fall at her feet, Ling Mo became even more excited. The crescent-shaped blade in her hand emitted a dazzling cold light as she soared into the air, like a dazzling silver dragon or bolts of lightning striking down from the heavens.

Standing frozen in the corner, barely daring to breathe, Fu Yunque stared in astonishment at Ling Mo, whose eyes were now bloodshot with rage. Fearing she would exhaust herself, he whispered:

"MoMo, we're outnumbered and this can't go on like this. How about we try mimicking the zombies' movements and blend in with them, then find a way to escape?"

"It's no use. Zombies rely on hearing and smell, not sight."

As he spoke, Ling Mo's curved blade had already slashed open the head of the zombie with rotten teeth beside him.

Bright red blood seeped from the wound, quickly staining the zombie's mangled face, and his screams echoed throughout the already cramped emergency passage.

After fiercely killing over a hundred zombies, Ling Mo's stamina was also greatly depleted, and a thin layer of sweat had formed on his forehead.

She knew in her heart that if this continued, she would definitely be exhausted to death by the endless stream of zombies.

In fact, if she wanted to break through, it would be a matter of minutes.

But if she were to drag Fu Yun Que along, the difficulty level would increase dramatically.

Just as she was worrying about how to resolve the crisis, a sudden burst of urgent gongs and drums came from outside the dormitory.

As the drumbeats grew more urgent, the zombies that had been rushing towards Ling Mo suddenly stopped, like toys that had had their batteries removed.

After a pause of two or three seconds, the zombies tilted their heads, as if listening to the sounds outside.

"MoMo, what's wrong with them?"

"Shh!"

Ling Mo gestured for Fu Yun Que to be quiet, held her breath, and carefully backed away until all the zombies that had flooded into the student dormitory building had left the building, at which point she finally breathed a sigh of relief.

On the other side, Gu Tingbai and the others lured the zombies out of the student dormitory building with the sound of gongs and drums. They then tied the gongs and drums to the water taps and used the force of the water waves to create sounds that could disturb the zombies.

Seeing Ling Mo and Fu Yun Que emerge from the dormitory building unharmed, Gu Ting Bai hurriedly stepped forward and anxiously asked:

"Sister Mo, are you alright?"

"I'm fine."

Ling Mo shook his head and looked back, only to see a scene of utter desolation.

"Cousin, what should we do now? I don't know where my brother has gone, and I'm so worried about him."

Shi Huan clutched the Nepalese kukri Ling Mo had given her, looking utterly helpless.

"My cousin should be in the faculty dormitory. Don't worry, try not to get separated from everyone, I'll go to the faculty dormitory and find him right away."

Ling Mo thought to himself, Shi Yi is so heartless that he doesn't even care about his own sister Shi Huan.

"Sister Mo, I'll go with you," Gu Tingbai said repeatedly.

"Xiaobai, you stay here and take care of everyone. Let Dr. Fu come with me. Right now, many trainees have been bitten by zombies, and I need to get the antidote for the T-virus as soon as possible. You don't understand medicine, so there's no use in you going."

As soon as he finished speaking, Ling Mo grabbed Fu Yun Que's arm and rushed towards the faculty dormitory building without stopping.

Fu Yunque had originally thought of himself as nothing more than a useless burden, but after hearing Ling Mo's words, he quickly perked up and asked in a deep voice:

"MoMo, are you sure there really is a cure for the T-virus in this world?"

"Sure."

Ling Mo nodded, and in the blink of an eye, he pulled Fu Yunque to the front of the teachers' dormitory building.

Ling Mo glanced indifferently at the fingerprint lock on the door, then suddenly reached into his pocket, fumbled around for a moment, and finally pulled out a green finger that had been broken off.

"Is this... the severed finger of an AK45?"

Fu Yunque stared incredulously at the severed finger in Ling Mo's hand, stained with mottled blood.

He said that Ling Mo couldn't possibly have run up to pray for AK45 for no reason.

It turns out that she was just using prayer as an excuse to secretly remove one of the fingers from the AK45.

Shh! It's a secret.
