Chapter 34 Encountering Danger

"No, you've mistaken me for someone else."

Li Wanwan shielded Ling Mo behind her, glaring menacingly at the group of blond-haired youths with unclear intentions.

"Where did this four-eyed frog come from? Get out of my way. You've ruined my plans, I'll take care of you too."

The tattooed thug spat out a toothpick and, leading dozens of his henchmen, swaggered toward Ling Mo.

Li Wanwan had never seen anything like this before. She shrank back and quickly hid behind Ling Mo, her face contorted with misery.

"What should we do now, deskmate?"

Ling Mo tucked his phone into the breast pocket of his school uniform and said calmly, "You can lose your head, you can bleed, but you can never back down in a fight."

"Classmate, you can't beat them. Let's run away quickly!" Li Wanwan asked anxiously, her eyes brimming with tears. She gripped Ling Mo's arm tightly with both hands, trying to drag her in the opposite direction.

"Wanwan, stand further away."

Ling Mo brushed aside Li Wanwan's sweaty hand, strode confidently toward the lead thug with tattooed arms, and asked, "You're looking for me?"

"You're really good-looking! Want to hang out with us guys?"

The lead thug with the tattooed arm winked at Ling Mo while reaching out his thick arm to grab her shoulder.

"Here?"

Ling Mo dodged the groping hand that was rushing towards her, raised an eyebrow, and asked him a question in a half-teasing tone.

"Then... let's go to the alley on the side?"

The tattooed thug clearly hadn't expected Ling Mo to be so uninhibited; he rubbed his hands together excitedly, grinning lecherously.

"No, deskmate!"

Li Wanwan nervously clutched Ling Mo's clothes, trembling with fear, almost bursting into tears on the spot.

"Don't worry, nothing will happen."

Ling Mo made a shushing gesture, turned around and walked into the alley without looking back.

Behind them, the group of blond-haired thugs, each with a different expression, suddenly became cautious.

"Do you think this newly crowned school beauty from No. 1 High School is mentally sound?"

"From what I can tell, this girl is either an idiot or a top-tier slut. Think about it, a normal girl would be terrified of us guys, not like her, practically throwing herself at us."

"That's true."

"Whether it's normal or not, we're the ones who will suffer the consequences."

"But Young Master Ji said that breaking one of her arms would be enough, he didn't tell us to assault her, did he?"

"She invited us, so if anyone should be violating us, it's her who violated us."

Li Wanwan strained her ears to listen to their foul language, her legs so weak she could barely walk.

To protect her pretty classmate, she risked being discovered and secretly took out her phone to call the police.

However, before she could make the call, her wrist was grabbed by a shifty-eyed thug. "You've got some nerve! You dare to call the police?"

"You can't do this! If anything happens to us, you'll all go to jail too!"

"Tch... What's so scary about going to jail? It's not like we guys haven't been to jail before."

Seeing that Li Wanwan was fair-skinned and clean-cut, the thug suddenly had a wicked thought and used his other hand to peel off the thick glasses on her cheek.

"Damn it, how dare a nobody like you touch my people?"

Ling Mo turned around and saw that the blond thug was trying to harass Li Wanwan, so he kicked the thug in the nose.

The next instant, with a "crack," the thug's hand that was gripping Li Wanwan's wrist was also broken by Ling Mo, hanging limply at the bottom.

"Damn it! You bitch, how dare you lay a hand on your grandfather?"

Seeing his brother beaten to the ground by a little girl, the leader of the tattooed thugs became enraged. His back teeth clenched so hard they rattled, and before he could even stand up straight, he pounced on Ling Mohu.

Ling Mo neither dodged nor flinched. He grabbed the tattooed thug by the neck with one hand, and with a sudden burst of strength, he slammed him to the ground with a clean over-the-shoulder throw, not forgetting to kick him hard in his groin twice.

Seeing Ling Mo's extraordinary skills, the thugs looked at each other in dismay, and none of them dared to take a step forward.

The tattooed thug was kicked all over by Ling Mo, wincing in pain as he curled up on the ground, howling in agony.

"What are you all standing there for? Get her together and kill her! Do you think we can't beat this bitch with so many of us?"

Ling Mo ignored him, looking down at the fallen, tattooed thug, and stomped his foot on his cheek, his voice cold and unreadable.

"Tell me, who sent you?"

"Bullshit! You think anyone can order me around?" The tattooed thug was particularly stubborn, turning his head away and spitting coldly, refusing to reveal who was behind it all.

"You're not going to tell, are you?"

Ling Mo bent down, grabbed the blond hair on the tattooed thug's head, and slammed his head to the ground.

Seeing Ling Mo gain the upper hand, Li Wanwan, who was huddled in the corner, darted behind her like a rabbit, rapping and taunting the tattooed thug who had already lost his fighting ability:

"If you're good, I'll buy you a street~ If you're naughty, I'll knock your head off!"

Upon hearing this, Ling Mo stiffened slightly and turned around in confusion to look at Li Wanwan, who had suddenly started rapping behind him.

Li Wanwan had never done anything so crazy before. Stared at by Ling Mo, she blushed shyly and whispered:

"Classmate, I didn't mean anything by it, I just wanted to cheer you on."

"You sang well..."

Ling Mo smiled indulgently and gently stroked Li Wanwan's soft hair.

Li Wanwan's eyes lit up, and she was about to launch into a cacophony of compliments when she saw the remaining thugs charging towards them. Startled, she screamed.

"Hey deskmate, watch out behind you!"

Ling Mo swiftly pushed her aside, coldly sweeping his gaze across the thugs who were closing in from all directions.

Her aura was so cold that it sent shivers down one's spine.

The blond thugs sensed a powerful killing intent approaching and stopped in their tracks simultaneously.

Looking up at Ling Mo's slender figure in the alley, and seeing that she was unarmed, he cursed and charged forward with all his might.

"Damn it! This bitch is really good at putting on airs. Her eyes are so cold, she almost fooled me too."

"Coward, she's just a little slut. I can take her down by myself."

"That's true. The more the horse goes off-road, the better. The brothers are in for a treat today."

Ling Mo was too lazy to waste words with them. As he turned around, a gust of wind swept past his ears, and a fierce aura swept across the sky.

She suddenly looked up, her eyes fierce and wild. She swung the parasol in front of the roadside coffee shop, twirling the handle with one arm. With the other hand, she pulled out a handful of silver needles from her pocket and, following the direction of the rotating umbrella, threw all the needles out.

With a few swift "whoosh" sounds, several silver needles pierced through the thick umbrella fabric and landed squarely on the thugs' groins.
