School Clinic
Mr. Smith was surrounded by hordes of girls, three or four deep.
He was drenched in sweat from exhaustion, but he still greeted the female students who came to see him with great enthusiasm: "Students, don't rush. Line up, one at a time!"
"Dr. Smith, where is your assistant?"
"Where is Medical Assistant Qin?"
The girls peeked around, eager to catch a glimpse of Qin Beiming's charm.
Mr. Smith explained gently and politely, "Xiao Qin wasn't feeling well, so he left work early to rest."
"What happened to Xiao Qin, the medical assistant? Is it serious?" one of the girls asked anxiously.
"It's probably because you didn't get enough rest. A good night's sleep will fix it."
Mr. Smith patiently answered, and was about to take out his medical records to start his business when, unexpectedly, the group of girls, upon hearing that Qin Beiming had already left work, turned around and left without looking back.
"What's going on? Why did they all leave?"
Seeing the girls scatter, Mr. Smith muttered in bewilderment, "What happened? In just a few seconds, my headache, backache, and leg pain all disappeared?"
Inside the medical room's rest room, Qin Beiming was reclining on a deck chair, resting with his eyes closed.
Just as he was drifting off to sleep, he suddenly realized that Ling Mo had accepted his WeChat friend request. He was so excited that he was almost speechless.
He wanted to give her a brief self-introduction, but he didn't know how to do it.
After all, he didn't have any particularly outstanding talents.
Apart from having a bit too much money, everything else can be described as mediocre.
Or, how about sending her a voice message?
Lu Jinjiu often says that his deep voice is so good it can make your ears pregnant. Why don't you send her a voice message to say hello?
Thinking of this, Qin Beiming cleared his throat, frowned as if in deep thought, and practiced repeatedly in front of his phone.
"Hello, Ling."
"Did you need something?"
"I'm busy, we'll talk later."
"Shall we have lunch together this afternoon?"
After struggling for a long time, Qin Beiming still didn't know what to say.
Ling Mo is so unique that even now, he still can't figure out her preferences.
Well, I'd better try to find out what she thinks first.
After careful consideration, Qin Beiming finally sent a WeChat message cautiously and reservedly:
What's up?
Ling Mo glanced at the message Qin Beiming had sent and was about to reply when Xiao Yingying, who had come on strong, confiscated his phone.
"Please be considerate and hand over your electronic devices to the teacher's desk."
On the other side, Qin Beiming's heart was beating faster and faster as Ling Mo did not reply for a long time.
He thought to himself that Ling Mo must be nervously organizing his thoughts, which was why he hadn't made a sound for so long.
Out of sheer boredom, he casually clicked on her profile picture to check her WeChat nickname and other related information.
After only a cursory glance, he began to daydream about those adorable, bubbly scenes in his mind.
Oh My God!
Her WeChat nickname is actually "Then let's go with randomness"!
How come he didn't notice it a few days ago?
Could it be that Ling Mo's WeChat nickname was specially changed based on his WeChat nickname?
I never would have guessed that this kid would be so proactive in private.
Not only did she change her profile picture to the same 24K pure black canvas as him, but even her WeChat nickname seemed to have been specially changed for him.
"Random" and "Then let's be random" sound like a couple's names.
Since she's already taken such a proactive step, he figured he should give her a chance to get closer to him.
Girls are sensitive, and if he seems too indifferent, he might hurt her feelings.
Qin Beiming's mood became increasingly pleasant, and he inadvertently opened her Moments again.
Unlike other girls who post nine-grid photos one day and a selfie video the next, her WeChat Moments only has one text post.
Qin Beiming narrowed his eyes, staring intently at the text post Ling Mo made on the evening of October 24th:
【I'm back. 】
strangeness...
October 24th is neither her birthday nor the day she was taken back to Ling Mo, so why did she suddenly post such a status update?
After pondering for a while, he finally remembered what was special about that day.
On the evening of October 24, he spotted her on the top floor of the Emperor Hotel, arriving under the stars and moon, her radiance even more dazzling than the sun and moon.
It was that very night, in the president's private elevator at the Emperor Hotel, that her gaze first lingered on him.
Thinking about it this way, he became even more certain that the only post on Ling Mo's WeChat Moments was for him.
When she says "I'm back," she probably means "my happiness is back."
Undoubtedly, her happiness is most likely related to him.
"This little kid is so cute."
Qin Beiming sighed softly, his voice so gentle it seemed almost tender.
After waiting another five minutes, seeing that Ling Mo still hadn't replied, his previously stable emotions gradually turned irritable.
"Old Shi, where's my medicine?"
He stood up, used two fingers to pry open the blinds a crack, and called out in a deep voice to Dr. Smith, who was dozing off with his neck tilted to the side.
Upon hearing this, Mr. Smith used a quick tongue flick to swiftly wipe back the drool that was about to spill from the corner of his mouth.
He slowly stood up, poured Qin Beiming a glass of water, and grumbled in dissatisfaction:
"You little rascal, you're such a pain! You're chasing after a girl, but you've made me so tired. The students at this school are all so weird, one minute they're pointing to their stomachs saying their feet hurt, the next they're dragging their butts saying their teeth hurt. I've really had enough."
