Ji Yan spotted Ling Tian and Xiong Chumo approaching together from afar, his face lit up with joy, and he shouted at the top of his lungs:
"You guys are here to see the rankings too?"
"Yeah. I hadn't even finished breakfast when Xiaotian dragged me here." Xiong Chumo was still grumpy from waking up, and after being pulled along for a bit, she was inevitably a little irritated.
Upon hearing Xiong Chumo's words, Ji Yan noticed that Ling Tian's expression was not very pleasant.

Seeing the identical expressions of horror on Ji Yan and Ling Tian's faces, Xiong Chumo subconsciously looked at the notice board.
When she discovered that Ling Mo was still in first place, while Ling Tian, who had held the top spot for a time, had been pushed down to fifth place, trailing second-place Ji Yan by a full 52 points, she was instantly stunned and exclaimed in shock:
"Oh my god, is there a mistake in the statistics? How could Ling Mo still be in first place? And also, why did Xiao Tian do so poorly this time?"
It took Ji Yan a long while to recover from his extreme shock.

"Section Chief, is there a mistake in recording Ling Tian's scores? She scored a high of 704 in the unified exam last Friday. Logically speaking, she shouldn't have only scored 648."
Section Chief sighed, and said with considerable regret:
“I also find it a bit puzzling. Ling Tian achieved a perfect score in the science section of the unified exam last Friday. Unfortunately, she only scored 246 points in this round of supplementary exams. After learning about the situation, the Intercontinental University Admissions Office, considering her inconsistent performance, has withdrawn its offer of admission.”

Xiong Chumo raised her eyebrows and spoke sternly on Ling Tian's behalf.

Ling Mo's eyes flickered slightly, and the faint smile on his face held a deeper meaning.
In fact, she knew Ling Tian's own limitations all too well.
Ling Tian's grades are indeed excellent, but not outstanding, especially in the science subject. In regular tests, the science subjects are generally quite easy, and she can manage to get by.
