Xiao Yingying's heart was churning like a turbulent lake. She trembled as she pressed the phone receiver against her fleshy cheek, her voice hoarse with tension.
"Mrs. Ling, this is terrible. People from the Education Bureau have come to my door, saying they have video footage of me physically punishing students and they want to fire me. What do you think we should do now?"
Having just completed her discharge procedures, Su Yu, adopting an indifferent attitude of "it's none of my business," casually replied perfunctorily:
