"Who can argue with that!"
Wu Xinyi gave a perfunctory reply and was about to continue when she saw Xiong Chumo beckoning to her. She then happily abandoned Ling Tian and joined Xiong Chumo in comforting Xuan Wei.
"A bunch of opportunistic lapdogs!"
Ling Tian ground her back molars together, making a grinding sound, and rolled her eyes in anger.
Aside from family background, Xuanwei is inferior to her in every way.
Are these people crazy?
Why would someone rush to curry favor with a country bumpkin with no brain?
"Xiaotian, that's not very nice of you. We just saw Xuanwei crying so hard and wanted to comfort her. Why are you picking on her like this?" Wu Xinyi had long disliked Ling Tian, and now that Ling Tian had lost power, she naturally wouldn't let go of such a great opportunity to humiliate her.
Ling Tian crossed her arms and coldly replied:
"Do you think I don't know what you're thinking?"
Seeing that Ling Tian and Wu Xinyi were arguing, Xuan Wei quickly stepped in to mediate:
"Please don't let me ruin our friendship. We're all classmates, there's no need to get into a fight over such a small thing."
Seeing Xuan Wei's innocent and naive demeanor, Ling Tian felt disgusted and couldn't help but say a few sarcastic words to her:
"You should worry about yourself first! If you always come in last place, even if you manage to stay in Class A, you'll just become the class's biggest burden."
Xuanwei sensed Ling Tian's hostility and her desire to shift the blame onto Ling Mo, so she specifically asked:
“Isn’t Ling Mo the last in our school? Before she enrolled, I heard that she also got zero in all subjects in the placement test.”
Blinded by jealousy, Ling Tian was only focused on targeting Xuan Wei and didn't think of joining forces with Xuan Wei to severely attack Ling Mo. She said sarcastically, "You think you can compare with her? Apart from the preliminary exam, Ling Mo's ranking has always been number one."
"From last place to first place?!"
Xuanwei stared wide-eyed in surprise, feeling incredulous, yet also having the idea of following in Ling Mo's footsteps.
She figured that if Ling Mo could do it, she, the "real heiress," could do it too.
After a moment of hesitation, she suddenly smiled sweetly and said in a soft, gentle voice:
"I wonder if Mr. Qin from the Qin Group tutors Ling Mo? If it's really as I suspect, I'll ask Mr. Qin to tutor me one of my own someday."
