Chapter 133 No one but me can kill him

Chapter 133 No one but me can kill him

Night falls.

Heavy, dark clouds hung over the city.

Lu Chi squatted beside a fire, head down, constantly poking at the paper money in the fire with a stick.

The flames flickered with a faint red light in the darkness.

The light reflected off his face, flickering between light and shadow.

A gust of wind swept by, swirling up the paper money on the ground and sending it flying everywhere.

Lu Chi stood up and looked up at the sky.

Dark clouds rolled across the sky.

The storm was like a sharp blade hanging overhead, ready to fall at any moment.

Just then, his phone suddenly vibrated.

A message popped up.

It was sent by Yu Qing.

Yu Qing sent a concerned emoji: "It's going to rain heavily soon, be careful, and send me a message when you get home."

"Um."

Lu Chi replied with a sentence, then put away his phone, left the unfinished building, and headed towards his home.

It's 11 p.m. now.

The buses have stopped running.

He had no choice but to walk home.

Fortunately, this place is not far from his neighborhood; it only takes about twenty minutes to get there.

He hoped the rain would come slowly.

Let's at least wait until he gets home before we come!

Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned.

He had only been gone a short while.

Boom!

A muffled clap of thunder sounded.

Then a bolt of lightning ripped through the dark night sky, as if it were splitting the entire sky in two.

Large raindrops poured down like a torrential downpour, pattering against the tin roof overhead and instantly soaking through Lu Chi's clothes. Lu Chi instinctively covered his forehead and ran quickly through the rain.

My phone kept receiving messages.

He didn't even have time to look.

I just want to find a place to hide as soon as possible.

Sudden......

A blinding headlight shone on him through the rain.

Lu Chi suddenly stopped in his tracks. The intense white light was so bright that he couldn't open his eyes and could only shield them with his hand.

The car headlights drew closer and closer, accompanied by a screeching sound of brakes. Lu Chi felt a tremendous force slam into him, instantly sending him flying.

He tumbled through the air several times before crashing heavily to the ground. Waves of pain washed over him, and his consciousness was rapidly fading.

In a blur, he saw a pair of high heels appear before him.

The owner of the high heels was on the phone while bending down to check his breathing, but Lu Chi could no longer see her face. He could only hear the noisy rain around him before he was plunged into darkness and lost consciousness.

"It's all done, I'll be right back."

After Shen Ran finished speaking, she hung up the phone.

She first looked around to make sure there were no other pedestrians or vehicles in the area before turning her gaze to Lu Chi, who was lying motionless on the ground, and a cold smile appeared on her lips.

She used both hands to drag Lu Chi's body and with great effort managed to stuff him into the trunk of the car.

Shen Ran then quickly got into the driver's seat and started the car.

With a tap of the accelerator, the car sped away.

They disappeared into the night.

On the street, only one mobile phone screen remained lit.

Messages kept popping up.

...

Shen Ran drove the car all the way to the villa.

Lin Chengyu stood under the eaves holding a black umbrella. When he saw the car return, he hurriedly went to greet it. He looked around the passenger seat and the back seat, frowned, and asked, "Where is everyone?"

"The trunk."

Shen Ran pointed to the trunk, indicating.

Lin Chengyu walked to the back of the car with an umbrella, opened the trunk, and saw Lu Chi, covered in blood, curled up in a ball, motionless, with no pulse or breath.

He frowned slightly: "How did he die?"

"Is he already dead?"

Shen Ran sat in the driver's seat, took out a tissue to wipe her wet hair, and said in surprise.

Upon hearing this, Lin Chengyu's facial muscles twitched slightly. He silently put away his umbrella and quietly came up behind Chen Ran.

"Since you care about what he'll look like after he's dead anyway, isn't this better?"

Shen Ran wrung out the water stains from her clothes, completely unaware of Lin Chengyu's approach, and continued talking to herself.

But the next second, she felt herself fall backward.

It felt like something hard was pressing against her neck, pulling her backward forcefully.

Shen Ran suddenly felt short of breath.

I instinctively reached out and touched it, only to find the umbrella was wet.

"Who gave you permission to run him over and kill him?"

"No one in this world can kill him except me."

"What right do you, a disgusting woman like you, have?"

Lin Chengyu sat in the back seat, propped his feet on the driver's seat, and held the ends of the black umbrella horizontally with both hands, tightly choking Chen Ran's neck.

Shen Ran's face turned red, she had difficulty breathing, and her legs were kicking incessantly.

"Let...let go..."

Shen Ran struggled, trying to break free from Lin Chengyu's arms.

But Lin Chengyu's grip tightened, and her face gradually turned purple, until she could no longer speak clearly.

Shen Ran's consciousness gradually blurred, the world before her eyes began to spin, darkness slowly encroached on her vision, and her struggling movements became weaker and weaker.

Finally, his hands fell limply to his sides.

Lin Chengyu seemed to have fallen into a hysterical frenzy; even though Shen Ran was already dead, he was still desperately hitting her head with the umbrella.

He wished he could tear Shen Ran to pieces.

This woman destroyed his most perfect work with her own hands.

"ah!"

Lin Chengyu forcefully flung away the umbrella, clutched his head with both hands, and roared in pain.

"Boom!"

Outside the car window.

A thunderclap exploded.

The torrential rain pounded against the black umbrella, making a crackling sound.

Lin Chengyu was standing in front of the trunk, holding a black umbrella.

His body was trembling uncontrollably.

Shen Ran got out of the driver's seat and saw Lin Chengyu standing there motionless, so she went up and patted him on the shoulder.

Are you alright?

Lin Chengyu suddenly came to his senses, looked at Shen Ran in front of him, his pupils shrank, and he subconsciously took two steps back.

Shen Ran said calmly, "Don't worry, he just fainted, he won't die."
