Zhao Shi'an was worried about Fang Qing and didn't sleep well that night. He got up before dawn the next day.
Seventeen, who had been waiting outside, heard the noise and knocked on the door.
"Enter."
Seventeen went in and told Zhao Shi'an about the intelligence he had received the night before.
"Master, Qin Hou arrived in Xichang Prefecture this morning."
Zhao Shi'an paused in his dressing.
"Isn't he in the capital?"
"I guess they came here to see Miss Fang."
Zhao Shi'an lowered his gaze slightly.
That's true. Zhao Fen hasn't been able to win over Fang Qing yet, and things could get complicated if things drag on. The Qin family must be getting anxious.
"Have people arrived from the capital?"
"No."
Zhao Shi'an frowned.
No one knew Qin Hou's character better than him.
A hypocritical and sanctimonious person.
In his previous life, he would order people to take action against anyone he disliked. Qin Hou was just like Fang Nianci in his previous life, with endless underhanded methods. Since both of them were his subordinates, those scores were also being settled against him.
If Qin Hou were to meet Fang Qing, things would definitely turn out very badly.
There's no time to worry about that now.
He led his men out, but Xiao Liu stopped him from outside.
"Master, Qin Hou has already led his men to Miss Fang's inn."
Zhao Shi'an's face immediately darkened.
"Gather the men..."
"Master, please be careful. If the Qin family or the Third Prince finds out that Miss Fang is being protected by our Fengyu Tower, it might be even more dangerous for her."
Zhao Shi'an squeezed his eyes shut for a moment.
"Make arrangements, I need to see Zhao Fen."
At this point, Zhao Fen was in a more convenient position to step forward than him.
At this moment, Fang Qing was invited down to the first floor of the inn.
The inn had been cleared out, and when Fang Qing came down, she saw a young man sitting by the window.
The man was dressed in white, waving a fan in his hand, sipping tea while watching the pedestrians on the street.
As Fang Qing approached, the man turned around, and Fang Qing saw his face clearly.
Then she froze on the spot.
It's him!
In the dream, the man who poisoned Zhao Shi'an was present.
Are these members of the Qin family?
"What, Miss Fang, are you stunned to see me?"
He smiled.
She is indeed good-looking.
Fang Qing, however, felt as if a venomous snake had coiled around her neck, making it difficult for her to breathe.
"This humble woman greets the young master."
"Don't be so formal, Miss Fang, please have a seat."
Fang Qing hesitated for a moment before walking over and sitting down opposite him.
The man personally poured her a cup of tea.
How could Fang Qing dare to drink anything offered by someone who had poisoned Zhao Shi'an?
She looked at the teacup in front of her, then at the face of the person opposite her.
"May I ask your name, sir?"
The man maintained a perfectly timed smile, but Fang Qing found it irritating.
"Qin Hou, the eldest son of the Qin family."
His original name was Qin Hou.
"Young Master Qin, are you also here for grain seeds?"
Qin Hou smiled and shook his head.
"I never concern myself with family matters. I've come to see Miss Fang today because I've heard about your deeds before."
He paused for a moment, his peach blossom eyes lingering on Fang Qing's face for a brief instant.
"It seems that this young lady is not only capable, but also incredibly beautiful."
Fang Qing considered herself to be fairly good-looking, but the idea of her being stunningly beautiful was completely foreign to her.
"Young Master Qin is too kind."
Her expression and tone turned noticeably colder.
She didn't want to sit here facing this hypocrite at all.
Qin Hou's amused gaze held a hint of bewilderment.
This method didn't work on Fang Qing at all.
He picked up the teacup, smelled it, but didn't take a sip.
"Why don't you try this tea, Miss Fang?"
"I don't like drinking tea."
"I see."
As he spoke, he beckoned to his men, telling them to go back to the mansion and fetch his treasured fruit wine.
His men were clearly stunned.
"Young master, that's wine bestowed upon you by the palace. You always seem reluctant to drink it, don't you?"
Qin Hou smiled and said, "Just go when I tell you to. In the past, I didn't drink because there was no one worth drinking with. Now that Miss Fang is here, the time is just right."
He said this to the servant, but his eyes never left Fang Qing's face.
The servant then left.
Fang Qing remained indifferent.
"There's no need for you to spend money, young master. I don't drink either."
"Don't worry, Miss Fang. It's called wine, but it's actually fruit juice that you won't get drunk even if you drink a thousand cups."
Fang Qing pursed her lips and looked at him.
"Young Master Qin need not trouble himself with me, I am already engaged."
Qin Hou was stunned for a moment, then burst into laughter.
"Miss Fang, please don't misunderstand. I enjoy making friends from all over the world. I just think you are an interesting person and would like to be your friend."
Fang Qing sneered inwardly.
Is this the kind of friend who would stab you in the back?
"I don't think this inn is very good, it's really unfair to Miss Fang. Why don't you come and stay at my home for a while?"
A cold smile played on Fang Qing's lips.
"Young Master Qin, do you not know why I have come to Xichang Prefecture?"
"I really don't know."
"Yesterday, someone from your Qin family came to advise me not to be ungrateful and to hand over the things obediently, otherwise your Qin family has plenty of ways to take them away."
Qin Hou suppressed his smile, and his expression became much more serious.
"Really? I don't handle family matters and I really didn't know about this. I don't know what they wanted from you?"
Fang Qing looked at Qin Hou carefully.
She didn't believe that the eldest son of the Qin family was unaware of this matter.
The only explanation is that Qin Hou is coming here in this manner because of what she has.
