Chapter 213 Dream

Fang Qing snapped out of her daze.

Thinking back to when she first fell ill, she repeatedly emphasized to Seventeen and the others that they shouldn't tell Zhao Shi'an about her illness.

So she remained ill, and Seventeen and the others were unsure whether to tell Zhao Shi'an about it.

How did we get here?

"Something happened and I came here."

"What's wrong?"

Fang Qing felt weak and listless, and her head felt foggy.

"I don't know either. It's just that Shi An's men brought us here yesterday."

Fang Qing was eager to know what had happened.

"Thank you for taking care of me."

"Why are you thanking me? There's no one at the tea shop to take care of you. You're delirious from the fever, so I'm the only one who can look after you."

She wrung out a handkerchief to wipe Fang Qing's face, then went out to have someone prepare something to eat.

Fang Qing had been asleep for two days and was unaware of the situation outside, so she wanted to call Seventeen in to ask her.

However, Zhao Wuxia showed no intention of leaving, so Fang Qing could only wait until she had eaten something and then use the excuse of wanting to sleep to get Zhao Wuxia to leave.

Once she could no longer hear any noise outside, Fang Qing struggled to sit up and called out, "Seventeen!"

Seventeen had been waiting outside, and came in as soon as he heard the commotion.

"Madam, how are you feeling?"

He stood outside through a curtain, his voice filled with exhaustion.

Fang Qing felt uneasy when she heard his voice.

What's the situation outside right now?

“A few days ago, the Grand Princess was murdered and went missing after leaving Jiaozhou. The tiger tally that she carried, which could mobilize the troops in Jiaozhou, was also missing. Yesterday, our people discovered that Yin Macheng was gathering troops with the tiger tally. Sensing something was wrong, I brought my wife here. Sure enough, Yin Macheng led his men to our house. After failing to find you, he led 20,000 troops toward Yangzhou.”

Seventeen still feels a lingering fear when she thinks about it.

Fortunately, Fang Qing had instructed them to keep an eye on the situation in the military; otherwise, the consequences would have been unimaginable.

Fang Qing felt dizzy after hearing his words.

She finally realized that something was wrong.

"No wonder the Grand Princess came to see me before she left. She just wanted us to know that she had indeed left Jiaozhou, so that we would lower our guard."

"The murder and disappearance, the loss of the tiger tally—it's all just an act put on by that mother and son!"

Fang Qing punched the bed frame, and the force made her feel dizzy, so she leaned back.

"If I'm not mistaken, the Tiger Tally should still be in the hands of the Grand Princess."

If Zhao Shi'an's actions towards Princess Qinghe in the capital made the Grand Princess resent him, then Zhao Shi'an's exposure of the Southern Prince's crimes made the Grand Princess resent him even more.

She had initially thought that the Grand Princess was only using the Prince of Nan, but now it seemed that there was genuine affection between them.

So now they're blaming Zhao Shi'an for the death of the Prince of Nan, and they don't even want to use her and the Prince of Nan's son to avenge Zhao Shi'an.

Fang Qing pressed down on her throbbing temples and asked, "How are things in Yangzhou?"

"The news has already reached Yangzhou, and our master has a way to deal with it."

The Grand Princess was after Zhao Shi'an. If the Prince Xian joins forces with the Grand Princess at this time, how will Zhao Shi'an deal with it?

Thinking about these things gave Fang Qing another bout of headache.

After Seventeen left, she lay down and tried to find Xiaodou, but there was no response when she called out several times.

When Fang Qing received no response after calling for the third time, she realized something was wrong.

Yes, the Grand Princess's plan this time is aimed at Zhao Shi'an. Xiao Dou should have warned her earlier.

But there has been no movement from Xiaodou's side.

Fang Qing felt a sudden panic in her heart.

Is the system temporarily malfunctioning, or is the world about to collapse?

Thinking about this, Fang Qing couldn't lie down anymore, but when she sat up, she felt dizzy and wanted to vomit.

Her physical condition is also very abnormal right now.

I took my medicine in the afternoon, and then went to bed without eating anything for dinner.

I had a very long dream last night.

The dream was still about Zhao Shi'an's past life, which Xiaodou had told her about.

From the time he was sold to the Gao family by his biological father until Zhao Shi'an was murdered.

This time, however, the dream was even more detailed than Xiaodou had told her, and she could even feel Zhao Shi'an's feelings at the time.

When he was finally murdered, Zhao Shi'an showed no fear whatsoever; he was even serene.

It's as if he has no attachment to this world anymore, and he just leaves decisively, so stubborn that he makes the whole world go down with him.

Fang Qing thought the dream was over, but suddenly the entire dream turned white.

In that white space, Fang Qing saw Zhao Shi'an lying in the very center.

He was covered in blood, and the thing he wore on his chest was glowing dimly, and he looked lifeless.

Even though she knew it was a dream, Fang Qing still felt a tightness in her chest.

She stepped forward, intending to check Zhao Shi'an's heartbeat, but her hand accidentally touched the glowing pendant on his chest, and almost instantly she was sucked in by a huge suction force.

When Fang Qing could see clearly again, she saw herself lying on the hospital bed, with many instruments attached to her body. With a beeping alarm, she lost her vital signs.

Fang Qing was stunned for a moment.

This is the time of her death in modern times.

She watched as doctors in white coats rushed in to try to save her, and five minutes later they pronounced her dead.

Having experienced it is one thing, looking at it now is another.

Fang Qing watched with mixed feelings as the doctor informed her family of her death, only to receive a cold "I know" from the other end of the phone.

Fang Qing's memories, which she had forcibly buried, seemed to awaken instantly and surge towards her all at once.

She was born into a well-off family; her parents ran a listed company. She was originally groomed to be their heir, but after she was diagnosed with an illness, her parents had a son instead.

Once a new heir was found, she was left in a sanatorium from the age of ten until her death.

She used to feel so much pain that she couldn't breathe when she thought about these things, and she even developed severe self-loathing. It was a psychologist who helped her to gradually forget these memories.

Now, revisiting these memories, she feels a profound sense of peace.

Perhaps it was because she had found someone she valued in Zhao Shi'an's world that she was able to let go completely.

Fang Qing wanted to end these dreams, but the scene before her eyes suddenly changed, and she became a little girl.

Fang Qing recognized the scene before her; this was Fangjia Village, and the little girl was Douya.

The little sprout lay on the bed, barely breathing, and noisy sounds outside couldn't wake her up; she looked truly pitiful.

Fang Qing went forward to check on the little sprout, when suddenly she saw a light emanating from the little girl's chest. Fang Qing then felt her body being sucked into that light.

Fang Qing suddenly opened her eyes and looked at the dark ceiling.

There was a lot of noise outside, and she felt a throbbing pain in her head.

Fang Qing's heart skipped a beat. She raised her hands and saw a pair of small, delicate hands.

Really?

Has she returned to the time when she first transmigrated into the form of a little bean sprout?

Then hasn't she been doing all these years of useless work?
