Both of them realized that something was wrong.
Fang Qing was now wide awake.
"No way?"
Fang Qing's face turned pale.
First, she wasn't prepared to have a child. Second, she and Zhao Shi'an had been using contraceptive pills for a long time, which might affect the child. In this day and age, miscarriage could be life-threatening, right?
Thinking of this made her eyes roll back and she felt weak all over.
Zhao Shi'an took her hand.
"It's alright, don't be afraid, I'll have someone fetch a doctor right now."
It was late at night, and the clinic was already closed, but Xiao Liu and Seventeen broke down the door, forcibly pulled them out of bed, and brought them to the Zhao residence.
After taking the pulse, the doctor gave a definitive answer—it was a pregnancy pulse.
Fang Qing lay on the bed with her mind blank, and Zhao Shi'an didn't say anything either. For a moment, the doctor didn't know whether he should congratulate her or not.
Zhao Shi'an spoke first.
How is Qing'er feeling?
"Madam is in good health and will have no problem conceiving a child."

Zhao Shi'an glanced at Fang Qing through the bed curtains, then told Xiao Liu to take the doctor back.

"Are you crazy? What if he hears us?"

Zhao Shi'an kissed Fang Qing's hand.
"You intend to keep this?"
He used the word "thing" to describe the child, which displeased Fang Qing, who frowned at him.

Fang Qing touched her stomach and felt very uncomfortable.
Although she didn't want to have children, she couldn't bear to have them removed like this.

Zhao Shi'an held Fang Qing's hand.

He only went out that day because there were matters to attend to at the palace.
Unexpectedly, less than an hour after he left, Xiao Liu was already anxiously looking for him.
Zhao Shi'an was worried about Fang Qing, so he hurried home.
When they got home, Fang Qing was still crying. Zhao was afraid of saying something wrong and didn't dare to stand in front of Fang Qing. When she saw Zhao Shi'an return at the door, she quickly let him in.
"Qing'er, what's wrong?"
The food on the table remained untouched.
Zhao Shi'an roughly knew what was going on.
"Did you throw up again?"
Fang Qing shook her head.
"Did your mother persuade you to eat?"
Fang Qing nodded.
She wiped away her tears forcefully; her eyes were red.
“I told you I couldn’t eat, but you all tried to persuade me. You all said it was for the sake of the child, but you didn’t think about me. I throw up no matter what I eat. I feel so awful.”
