Chapter 6 Scheming Against the Old Woman

"I'm completely innocent, and you've ruined my reputation!"

Zhao was so scolded by the old woman that she dared not raise her head.

Fang Qing broke free from Zhao Shi and ran to the village chief's wife, asking innocently, "Sixth Grandma, you protected me and my mother that day, you're a good person. What did you mean by calling my grandma a slut just now?"

The village chief's wife was instantly relieved when she heard her say that, and a smile appeared on her face.

"It means your grandma has an ambiguous relationship with other men. You're a good child, so you must never follow her example, understand?"

"Oh, I see. So my grandma and the old fisherman from the next village have a complicated relationship. Is that old fisherman also a slut?"

Fang Qing's words immediately caused an uproar in the crowd.

Everyone looked at the old woman with disdain.

Fang Daniu and Zhao Shi looked on in disbelief.

As for the old woman, her face first turned pale, then flushed red.

"That's utter nonsense! You little slut, how dare you slander me? I'll beat you to death!"

As she spoke, she came over here, and Fang Qing quickly hid behind the village chief's wife.

ā€œI’m not making this up. Last month you took me to the next village to buy fish. You let the old fisherman kiss you, and he said he liked me. You even let him touch my face. In the end, you got a fish for free and said you wanted to give me to the old fisherman.ā€

Fang Qing hid behind the village chief's wife and spoke these words in her childish voice, which made the old woman panic and then scream loudly in anger.

"You little slut, talking nonsense!"

"Enough, Wang Cuihua! You're not a clean person yourself, yet you're harming children. Are you even human?"

The village chief's wife blocked the old woman's way, her eyes filled with disdain.

Zhao was so frightened that her face turned pale, and she called out in a trembling voice, "Da Niu."

Fang Daniu's expression wasn't much better at the moment; he looked at his own mother with disbelief.

"Mother, Bean Sprout is your own granddaughter. Are you going to sell her to an old widower for a fish?"

Seeing that she couldn't explain it, the old woman stopped trying and simply gave up.

"I gave birth to you and raised you. She is your daughter. It's only right that she be given meat to eat, let alone become someone else's wife."
