Chapter 57 Temporary Change of Plan

Zhang Xiaoqing had just returned from delivering clothes left behind at the hotel to a guest when she saw Zhou Sui and Zhou Peng.

"Xiaoqing, you work here?" Zhou Peng was unaware of the unpleasant things that had happened between her and her sister, and he was quite happy to see Zhang Xiaoqing in her work uniform.

Because this is the restaurant they are going to now.

"Mm," Zhang Xiaoqing responded, without looking up at Zhou Sui, and strode inside.

Zhou Peng was completely baffled. "I remember you two were classmates, but you haven't said a word to each other?"

Not to mention we were classmates, we were all from the same village and had known each other since childhood.

But judging from Zhang Xiaoqing's appearance, the two of them seemed like complete strangers.

Zhou Sui chuckled lightly. With her face practically torn off, it was no wonder Zhang Xiaoqing wouldn't take the initiative to talk to her.

"He's probably busy with something."

"Brother, let's go inside."

This restaurant is the largest in town, with eight tables in the lobby on the first floor and four private rooms upstairs.

Zhou Peng had looked inside through the window before and heard that a meal inside cost a lot of money; this was his first time inside.

The ground was covered with something soft and slippery, and the table was covered with a white cloth. Zhou Peng didn't dare to go near it, afraid of getting it dirty.

"Zhou, you're here." The two waited for a while before a middle-aged man came down and greeted Zhou Sui with a smile.

Hearing the word "sister," Zhou Sui wanted to laugh. She was eighteen years old, while the person who called her looked to be nearly forty.

I don't know if it's because I look old or because she's actually young, but she keeps calling me "sister".

“Boss Wang.” Zhou Sui didn’t dwell on the form of address. “I’ve brought you the honey grapefruit tea you had yesterday.”

As she spoke, she turned to the side, opened the sealed cardboard box, and a series of neatly stacked glass jars appeared before Boss Wang.

"This is different from what I had yesterday," Mr. Wang said, glancing at it before looking away.

Zhou Sui took out a bottle and explained, "The cup from yesterday was already prepared. It's been diluted with water. This bottle can make at least fifteen cups like the ones you drink from."

Upon hearing the number, Boss Wang's eyes visibly lit up. He took the jar from Zhou Sui's hand. "Want to open it and smell it?"

"sure."

As soon as Zhou Sui finished speaking, the lid was unscrewed.

For a moment, Zhou Sui didn't know what the point of asking herself was, but she only dared to grumble to herself.

As soon as the lid was opened, a rich grapefruit scent mixed with honey wafted out, and Mr. Wang brought the bottle to his nose to smell it.

"It smells good, much stronger than the one I drank yesterday."

"That's natural." It's just that water was added, which diluted the fragrance.

Mr. Wang put the lid back on and looked at the glass jar repeatedly. "This thing is quite novel. I don't know how they came up with the idea to make it like this."

Zhou Sui resorted to her old excuse, "The prescription was bought with money in a distant city."

"Isn't it in our city?" Mr. Wang asked.

"Of course not, Mr. Wang, don't worry. This product is currently only sold in my shop. There are no other stores selling it on the market."

"Indeed, if we can successfully cooperate with Mr. Wang this time, you will be the second company to start selling honey grapefruit tea."

Those in business know that scarcity increases value. If a recipe spreads in the city, it won't be long before neighboring towns start imitating it, and then it will lose its novelty.

"This stuff is really delicious, and it's suitable for both men and women, and people of all ages. But since your store is already selling it, wouldn't it be a bit unprofitable for me to start selling it now?"

"As you know, the food in my restaurant isn't cheap. If the prices are too high, I'll lose money if I can't sell the food."

Mr. Wang weighed the glass bottle in his hand, his eyes gleaming.

"Girl, I acted on impulse yesterday and asked you to deliver the things. I didn't think it through."

"I've been busy all day and haven't had a chance to tell you. I'm so sorry to have troubled you to move so much over here."

"Hey buddy, stop holding it like that, put it on the ground. Your arms must be getting sore from holding it like that."

As if he had just noticed Zhou Peng carrying the box, Boss Wang pretended to be concerned and had someone put the things down.

Zhou Peng glanced at Zhou Sui. The two had agreed before coming in that Zhou Peng would talk less and listen more, and act according to Zhou Sui's gaze.

The matter that was agreed upon yesterday was suddenly changed by Boss Wang. Zhou Sui did not show any anger, but nodded in agreement.

"No trouble at all, it'll only take a little while to get here."

“My brother is very strong and usually carries more than this. Thank you for your understanding, Mr. Wang.”

Upon hearing this, Zhou Peng understood that the box didn't need to be put down.

Boss Wang glanced at Zhou Sui's expression, which remained unchanged, without even a hint of anger. He thought to himself, "This young girl may be young, but she's quite composed."

"Well, I'm a little embarrassed. Since you've already moved in, I'll take out a few bottles to keep for myself."

"Anyway, I love drinking this stuff. Even if it doesn't sell well, I'm not worried."

He kept saying it wasn't selling well, which made Zhou Peng uncomfortable, since their honey pomelo tea was their best-selling product.

Countless people buy grapefruit tea every day, so why does this person keep saying it's not selling well?

Even the good-tempered Zhou Peng couldn't help but want to retort, but Zhou Sui just smiled and acted as if she hadn't heard him at all.
