"It's nothing," Zhou Sui shook her head.
The car quickly stopped in front of Zhou's Snack Shop. The lunch rush had passed, and there were only a few people sitting inside.
Zhou Sui was surprised to see Chen Jiazhen there, and she greeted her politely, "Auntie."
"Sui Sui is here." Chen Jiazhen said to Zhou Sui, but her eyes kept glancing at Song Qi'an.
No wonder her daughter had been talking about Song Qi'an lately. He really is a handsome man. She must be proud to have such a son-in-law.
"Little Song." Chen Jiazhen had just put on the airs of an elder and was about to speak to Song Qi'an.
The latter seemed not to see her and followed Zhou Sui past.
Chen Jiazhen's mouth was still half open, and she hadn't even had a chance to say what was on the tip of her tongue.
Chen Jiazhen comforted herself, thinking that she must have shouted too softly and the other person didn't hear her.
"Huh, Sister Mei isn't in the store?"
Zhou Sui brought out a water glass from the backyard and found that Zhou Meimei was nowhere to be seen, either inside or outside the shop.
"She went to deliver grapefruit tea to the department store," Xiang Jinhua said as she came out of the kitchen.
Zhou Sui understood, and Song Qi'an took the cup from her and went to the kitchen to get water.
Chen Jiazhen watched as the Zhou mother and daughter talked, while Song Qi'an was alone in the kitchen.
Her eyes darted around, and she walked to the kitchen doorway to wait.
"Little Song." This time she was sure that Song Qi'an could hear her voice.
Song Qi'an looked up at her, and his expressionless face made Chen Jiazhen's heart skip a beat, but she thought of her daughter.
She could only bite the bullet and ask, "Xiao Song, you haven't found a boyfriend yet, have you?"
Song Qi'an didn't speak, but just looked at Chen Jiazhen indifferently.
Chen Jiazhen became increasingly uncomfortable. After all, she was an elder, so what was there to be afraid of?
"Well, Auntie didn't mean anything by it, I just wanted to ask you, what do you think of my Xiaomei?"
Song Qi'an finally reacted, "Who is Xiao Mei?"
