Li Xiaolian chuckled softly, then hugged Scarface tightly and whispered in his ear, "It's time to reach the stage of 'enhancing cognition'... I like you so much, and you like me too, right?"
Scarface froze, his body pressed against Li Xiaolian's, making his scalp tingle.

Scarface finally believed that everything that happened tonight was just an illusion, and that there was no date at all.
He sat on the ground dejectedly, watching Li Xiaolian's departing figure, his heart filled with mixed feelings and a sense of loss.
Li Xiaolian practically fled in panic. She was fed up with Scarface's harassment and couldn't be bothered with his miserable state anymore.
Li Xiaolian's mind was still filled with the scene of her struggle with Scarface in the hotel. She felt that she must be crazy to make such a big "sacrifice" to get information out of him.
She got into the car alone, and the ride felt like escaping from a hellhole; she felt like she could finally catch her breath.
