That's absolutely true. After Chang Decheng became friends with Scarface, he would ask for extra pocket money every few days. He would ask his father one day, his mother the next, and his grandparents the day after, taking turns asking for money.
When Chang Decheng kept asking for money, his aunt got annoyed. She first asked why he was spending money so extravagantly, and Chang Decheng managed to fool her with a few lies. Later, even his excuse of buying study materials was no longer believed.
Today, Chang Decheng was cornered by Scarface's henchmen in a small alley near the school because he had no money. There were few people around, and they were all students, so no one dared to get involved.
"If you can't get pocket money, then lie. I don't believe you're so stupid you can't even get a little pocket money. Do you want to get beaten up every day?"
As he spoke, the thug slapped Chang Decheng's arm again, while offering him advice.
"Let me tell you, if you don't pay your protection money by tomorrow, don't blame us for being rude to you. Isn't your school asking for donations? Why don't you just have your parents contribute more money?"
"Brother, I've already tried using excuses like buying study materials or making donations, but I really can't get the money. How about we wait a couple more days? There'll be a grace period, and then I can ask for pocket money again."
"Wait? I'll wait your mother's ass!"
After uttering a curse, the thug started beckoning to Chang Decheng again. Just then, Chang Jing was being dragged by two classmates to a second-hand mobile phone shop and happened to pass through this alley.
While being beaten, Chang Decheng, quick-witted and sharp-tongued, betrayed Chang Jing.
"Brother, stop hitting him. That guy in front is my cousin. He's rich. Ask him to give you money. His family is in business too."
Chang Jing's mother runs a fruit stall, which counts as doing business. Ideally, these thugs would keep asking Chang Jing for money every day, so she wouldn't get beaten up!
The simple-minded Chang Decheng initially thought naively, but when he saw that Chang Jing appeared with two classmates, he immediately cried out for his cousin to save him.
"Chang Jing! Cousin, help me! Someone robbed me of my money and beat me up!"
