Chapter 62 Transfer Scandal

Grandpa Chang saw the resistance from Chang Jing and his sister, but he knew that throwing a tantrum and cursing would be useless and might even push Chang Jing and his sister further away, so he quickly comforted Grandma Chang.

The little brat has grown up; he's got wings and doesn't listen to reason anymore. Old Master Chang glared at Chang Jing's retreating figure, extremely angry.

Chang Jing and Chang Ling finally left the Chang family, and both of them breathed a sigh of relief.

Chang Ling pouted and said, "Brother, we're never going back to the Chang family again. Those two old guys are unbearable!"

Chang Jing nodded and reassured her, "Xiao Ling, we're only going back to put on a show for others. Aunt and Auntie have been good to us. If we keep going against the Chang family, people will gossip."

The two walked home in the night. Along the way, Chang Jing told Chang Ling a lot about human relationships and social etiquette. People can't live in society without considering these things. In her previous life, Chang Ling was too righteous and straightforward, which caused her many setbacks in life. So Chang Jing hoped that Chang Ling could learn more about human relationships and social etiquette.

Back at their rented home, Song Huizhen was a little nervous when she saw her two children return: "You're back. Did you get mistreated at the Chang family's house? Did you eat enough? Should Mom cook you something nice?"

Chang Jing smiled and reassured Song Huizhen, "Mom, don't worry. We've broken ties with the Chang family. If they come looking for us in the future, we'll call the police immediately!"

Hearing this, Song Huizhen knew her child hadn't been wronged, and finally smiled with relief, saying, "That's good. I was most afraid of you being bullied by the Chang family. If they dare to bother us again, I'll be the first to settle accounts with them!"

Chang Ling smiled and said, "Mom, don't worry, from now on it will just be the three of us in our family, and no one from the Chang family will come to disturb our lives anymore."

Song Huizhen could finally breathe a sigh of relief. She had endured the pain the Chang family had caused her, but she couldn't let her children be ruined by the Chang family like she had. Now she could finally live peacefully with her two children.

With the troubles of the Chang family over, Song Huizhen had a peaceful New Year with her two children. When visiting relatives during the New Year, Song Huizhen made a point of mentioning that they would be moving to a new house after the New Year, which earned her a series of congratulations and blessings from relatives and friends.

Now everyone knows that Song Huizhen is doing well. Divorced with two children, she is able to open a fruit shop and earn money to buy a new house. There are very few women like her.

Soon, news of Song Huizhen spread among acquaintances, and inevitably reached the ears of the Chang family.

After the Lunar New Year, Song Huizhen went to run her fruit stall as usual, while Chang Jing and Chang Ling also went to school.

At noon, Chang Jing's classmate Xiao Long came to find him and said mysteriously, "Chang Jing, your dad came to see the principal and said he wants to transfer you to another school!"

Chang Jing's eyes widened upon hearing this. He truly hadn't expected Chang Guomin to have such a trick up his sleeve, and quickly asked, "What?"

Xiao Long shrugged and said, "I heard that your father thought this school was bad and wanted to transfer you to a private school. The principal disagreed, so your father argued with the principal for a while, but somehow the principal eventually agreed to transfer you."

Chang Jing immediately ran to the principal's office. The principal, upon seeing Chang Jing, immediately understood why he had come, and felt both somewhat embarrassed and guilty.

"Chang Jing, your father came to the school yesterday and insisted on transferring you to XX Private Middle School. I initially refused, but he was adamant, so I had no choice but to agree. You can complete the transfer procedures in the next couple of days and start school at the new school next Monday."

Chang Jing quickly said, "Principal, I won't transfer schools. My mom and dad are divorced, and my sister and I live with my mom. My dad shouldn't have made the decision to transfer schools for me without my consent, nor does he have the right to transfer me."

The principal sighed and said, "Chang Jing, I don't want you to transfer schools either. You've been doing very well at your current school, but your father says he's your guardian and he insists on helping you transfer. The school can't refuse. Why don't you talk to your father about it?"

Chang Jing shook his head and said, "I have absolutely no contact with my father now. He did all this just to get revenge on me and my mother. Besides, he's not my guardian anymore; my mother is my guardian. Principal, do you have any way to prevent me from transferring schools?"

The principal said with difficulty, "Chang Jing, normally, as a minor student, the school should try its best to meet the reasonable requests made by your guardian. But you said your parents are divorced, so please have your mother come to the school to explain the situation!"

Chang Jing lowered his head. It seemed that the only way was to tell Song Huizhen about this and have her explain the situation to the principal so that he could try to avoid transferring schools.

After school, Chang Jing told Song Huizhen and Chang Ling about it. Song Huizhen was so angry that her face turned pale, and she went to see the principal first thing the next morning.

After learning about the situation, the principal agreed to allow Chang Jing to continue studying at the school and not transfer him.

After thanking the principal, Song Huizhen immediately called Chang Guomin and began to hurl insults at him.

On the other end of the phone, Chang Guomin was having dinner with his wife and the others when he heard Song Huizhen's barrage of insults. He was so angry that his hand trembled and he dropped the receiver.

Grandma Chang hurriedly asked what had happened. Chang Guomin told her about Chang Jing's intention to transfer schools. Grandma Chang was also angry after hearing this, saying that Song Huizhen had divorced back then, and now she was meddling in the Chang family's affairs. She was simply too presumptuous!

Chang Guomin picked up the phone and started cursing. His voice was so loud that even Old Master Chang was startled, fearing that Chang Guomin might curse someone to death.

Song Hye-jin, not to be outdone, and the two argued fiercely until Song Hye-jin finally hung up the phone.

Chang Guomin was so angry that his face turned pale and then red. He originally thought that Song Huizhen would agree to Chang Jing's transfer to another school, but he did not expect that Song Huizhen would actually go to the school and tell the principal that Chang Jing should stay in the original school. This was like a slap in the face to Chang Guomin in front of him!
