Chapter 68 Entanglement

"Chang Jing, stop right there!" Chang Guomin suddenly grabbed Chang Jing's arm, threatening him with a ferocious look on his face.

"Your dad will get your house. Even if you don't agree, I'll still get it, you know that?"

Chang Jing shook off Chang Guomin's hand and said coldly:

"I suppose you've already met that woman's family. Then go ask your new in-laws for the house. Aren't you used to living off women? You won't get a single penny of what belongs to Chang Jing."

Upon hearing Chang Jing's words, Chang Guomin was immediately enraged. He himself liked to reap without sowing, but he couldn't allow such words to come from his son, Chang Jing.

"Chang Jing, how dare you talk to your father like that? You're so disrespectful! Isn't this all for your own good? I've given you plenty of money and clothes before, and now that you have money, you don't want your father anymore? If you give me a house as a token of your filial piety, everyone in the surrounding area will praise you. Isn't that a good thing?"

Chang Jing felt like vomiting when he heard this. So shameless! He sneered and said:

"Give me money? When have you ever given me any money? My mother has been supporting us by selling fruit and running errands, and you haven't contributed a single penny. Now that my mother has a little money, you're coming to ask for a new house? What kind of person are you? Can't you change your ways after being used to my mother's money?"

Seeing Chang Jing speak like this, Chang Guomin's face grew even uglier, and his voice rose several decibels as he angrily cursed:

"How can you have such a vicious mouth? I'm your biological father, and you dare to talk to me like that? You have no manners whatsoever. If I hadn't given you a chance, you wouldn't be living such a comfortable life now."

Chang Jing, his face cold and his tone serious, retorted:

"I just want to make it clear to you that, regardless of whether you have given me anything or not, everything I have now is the result of my own and my mother's hard work, and has nothing to do with you."

Chang Guomin's face turned a deep shade of liver color, and he shouted, "You little beast, how dare you say such treasonous things to me! I'm going to smash your back until it's soft today!"

After saying that, Chang Guomin punched Chang Jing, just like before when Chang Jing would get a beating if he did something that displeased him.

Unfortunately, Chang Jing was prepared. He dodged the punch by turning to the side, then grabbed Chang Guomin's wrist and chopped him in the back of the neck with a chop.

Chang Guomin never expected Chang Jing to be so powerful. He was struck squarely and fell to the ground.

Chang Jing coldly looked at Chang Guomin lying on the ground and sneered, "If you're a decent person, you should get lost. I'm not the same Chang Jing who let you beat and scold me without fighting back. I won't give you any face today."

Chang Guomin got up, still cursing under his breath: "Damn it, you brat, how dare you hit me!"

Just as he was about to pounce on him again, Chang Jing kicked him in the stomach, causing Chang Guomin to stumble and fall to the ground once more.

Chang Jing snorted coldly, then roared in fury, "Get out!"

Chang Guomin felt that he had always been superior to Chang Jing, so this situation had never happened. He had just been beaten twice by Chang Jing, and he felt both humiliated and scared.

Chang Jing's gaze made him feel that his son had changed; his cold and resolute demeanor terrified Chang Guomin.

So Chang Guomin got up, baring his teeth and roaring angrily, "You unfilial son, I'll make you regret this!"

After saying that, he limped away hesitantly. Chang Jing coldly watched Chang Guomin's retreating figure, his heart filled with an icy chill.

Chang Guomin has always been spoiled by his mother, and now he needs to face reality.

At the same time, he also knew that this matter was not over, and the people of Changmin would never give up.

During his previous life, he had witnessed too much ugliness and depravity of human nature, and the actions of the ordinary people before him were undoubtedly confirming his thoughts.

When Chang Jing returned home, he found Chang Ling and his mother waiting anxiously in the living room. Chang Jing told Song Huizhen about the whole thing that had just happened.

Upon hearing this, Song Huizhen's expression changed slightly. She said, "He actually wants to remarry and ask us to give him a house as a betrothal gift? This man is simply shameless. I really don't know what kind of family's daughter would fall for this."

"Mom, don't worry," Chang Jing said calmly. "I would never agree to something like this, so you don't need to worry about him bringing a stepmother."

Song Huizhen nodded, reassured by her son's words.

However, Song Huizhen still had some worries. Although Chang Guomin was a scoundrel, he was, after all, Chang Jing's biological father.

With the two of them breaking up so completely this time, she wonders if Chang Guomin will target them in the future. She will absolutely not allow anything that could harm her child to happen.

Song Huizhen prayed silently, hoping that the Chang people would let the matter rest and stop provoking them.

But people's hearts are unpredictable. Will ordinary citizens really let this go?

These questions kept Song Huizhen tossing and turning all night, unable to fall asleep for a long time.

I just hope that ordinary citizens won't do anything heinous...

Chang Guomin returned home after a long while, and the first thing he saw when he entered the door was his new lover, Yulian, smoking on the sofa.

Upon seeing Chang Guomin return, Yulian immediately stood up to greet him and asked, "Did you go to see your son? Did you settle the matter regarding the house?"

Chang Guomin's face was gloomy. He snorted coldly and walked straight into the house without answering.

Seeing this, Yu Lian hurriedly followed, asking questions along the way. Chang Guomin finally couldn't help but burst out: "Damn it! That little beast Chang Jing dared to hit me, and even said that I've never spent a single copper coin, but now that he has money, he wants to drive me away."

Upon hearing this, Yu Lian immediately became displeased. Huang Yu Lian was a petty and greedy woman.

She looked down on Chang Guomin from the start; his meager salary wasn't even enough for him to support himself, so why would she want to get involved with him?
