Chapter 92 Fang Yu's Thoughts

"Senior Sister Fang Yu, you're so concerned about my family situation, are you interested in me?"

Chang Jing smiled and said, "How about we change the subject and talk about your own family situation?"

Fang Yu was taken aback when Chang Jing turned the tables and asked her a question. She was momentarily speechless, but she quickly recovered and said, "It's what a senior should do to care about her junior. I not only care about his family situation, but I also care about your studies. Isn't that normal?"

“That’s true.” Chang Jing smiled and said, “Then Senior Sister Fang won’t have to worry too much about my family anymore. You can ask me questions about my studies without worry.”

Fang Yu's eyes flickered; she guessed that Chang Jing had probably seen through her intentions.

But Chang Jing appeared so calm and composed that it was impossible to figure out what he was thinking.

Chang Jing secretly breathed a sigh of relief when he saw that Fang Yu seemed to have stopped asking about his family.

He knew that his initial answer was too perfunctory and would easily make people suspicious.

Fortunately, at the crucial moment, he thought of a way to change the subject, which prevented Fang Yu from asking any further questions.

After that, although Fang Yu would still come to the shop to chat, she was no longer as insistent on probing Chang Jing's family background as before. Chang Jing understood that Fang Yu probably had doubts about his background, but she couldn't find any evidence to verify it.

So now she can only pretend to be nonchalant on the surface, but in reality she is still looking for an opportunity to reveal her true colors.

"Senior Sister Fang seems quite interested in my background," Chang Jing said with a smile. "With such an ordinary family background, I don't know what you're curious about, Senior Sister."

Upon hearing this, Fang Yu's face flashed with embarrassment. She knew that Chang Jing had seen through her, but she couldn't show it.

He could only casually say, "There are so many rich kids in China these days. I was just a little curious about my junior's family. Junior Chang, you don't need to worry about it too much. Now that I know you're just like everyone else, from an ordinary family, I'm relieved."

Chang Jing sensed the awkwardness in Fang Yu's words and chuckled inwardly, but still humbly replied, "Senior Sister Fang is joking. I come from an ordinary family and am not a rich second generation. If you are interested in high society, you've come to the wrong person."

"Oh, senior sister was just joking."

Fang Yu chuckled dryly, "I never expected you to be some rich kid. Don't worry, I won't ask about your family anymore. It's too sensitive."

Chang Jing smiled and nodded. He knew that Fang Yu's words were not very credible, and that this clever senior sister would continue to look for opportunities to test him.

However, Chang Jing decided not to deliberately avoid Fang Yu on the surface, but to continue to maintain a normal classmate relationship with her, and to resolve the situation appropriately when Fang Yu pried too much into his family.

Fang Yu has been going to milk tea shops frequently lately, but her purpose is not simply to drink milk tea.

She is actually a famous socialite, and her biggest goal is to find a young, handsome, and wealthy man.

Because she found that Chang Jing seemed young, promising, and somewhat wealthy, she began to approach him frequently, hoping to become his girlfriend.

She even made a bet with her best friend that she would definitely win Chang Jing's heart within a month.

In order to fulfill this bet, Fang Yu began to plan various opportunities to "accidentally" accompany him.

On one occasion, she deliberately chose to "coincidentally" meet Chang Jing on his way back to the dormitory and took the initiative to strike up a conversation with him.

"Junior Brother Chang, what a coincidence! We're in the same dorm area!"

Chang Jing found it somewhat amusing. Although university dormitories are separated by gender and there are several dormitory areas, they are generally located in the same direction.

He knew that Fang Yu's actions were not a coincidence, but he still had to maintain his politeness: "Does Senior Sister Fang Yu also live in this area? Then we can really run into each other more often from now on."

Fang Yu smiled and nodded, continuing to chat with Chang Jing, hoping to take the opportunity to entice Chang Jing to ask her out.

During the conversation, Chang Jing suddenly asked, "Senior Sister Fang Yu, you didn't come here specifically to find me, did you?"

Upon hearing this, Fang Yu was startled, but on the surface she pretended to be calm: "How could that be? I just happened to be there. Of course I had to greet Junior Brother Chang when I saw him."

"Really? Then my senior sister must be a fan of mine, seeing me so often," Chang Jing said half-jokingly.

Fang Yu knew that Chang Jing's words were not serious, but rather a test to gauge her true intentions.

She had to admit that Chang Jing was exceptionally clever and not so easily fooled.

Fang Yu chuckled and said, "Junior brother, you're really joking. I just happen to be a frequent customer of your shop and see you often. I'm not some kind of fangirl."

After hearing this, Chang Jing said nothing more, but simply nodded slightly.

Fang Yu guessed that Chang Jing seemed somewhat wary, and that she had probably indeed been a bit too hasty.

This annoyed her somewhat—she was always adept at manipulating men, so how could a college student have seen through her?

But Fang Yu didn't intend to give up so quickly. She decided to persevere and change her strategy to continue getting closer to Chang Jing.

A few days later, Fang Yu made a special effort to schedule her afternoons off, and then went to the milk tea shop to find Chang Jing.

"Junior Brother Chang, I happen to be free today. May I invite you to dinner?" Fang Yu invited with a smile.

Chang Jing was somewhat surprised that Fang Yu had taken the initiative to invite him to dinner. He knew that Fang Yu must have had ulterior motives for doing this, but refusing would seem like he was being too suspicious.

Chang Jing thought for a moment and then agreed: "Since Senior Sister Fang has invited me, I, your junior brother, will accept the invitation."

Fang Yu was overjoyed when Chang Jing agreed, feeling that this was a good opportunity for her to get closer to him.

Therefore, Fang Yu

At the dinner table, Fang Yu began to use the same old tricks, boasting about her "family background" and "knowledge" by talking about foreign brand cosmetics and bags, while constantly trying to get closer to Chang Jing and pique his interest.

Chang Jing maintained his distance throughout, responding politely without showing much reaction.

Seeing that Chang Jing remained completely unmoved and even avoided her advances, Fang Yu couldn't help but feel annoyed.

She never expected that her carefully planned scheme would completely fail to win over the college student in front of her.

After dinner, Chang Jing offered to take Fang Yu back to her dormitory. Fang Yu wanted to take this opportunity to show her charm and seduce Chang Jing again, but Chang Jing only talked about ordinary topics along the way, not the emotional topics that Fang Yu had imagined.

Fang Yu was furious at the other party's stubbornness.

"This Chang Jing is indeed different from ordinary boys. No wonder he's running a business at such a young age. It seems I have to use some special tricks!"

Thinking of this, Fang Yu secretly made a decision.

When they arrived at the girls' dormitory, Fang Yu finally couldn't help but ask, "Chang Jing, don't you understand my feelings at all?"
