Chapter 123 Examination (Part 2)

Chapter 123 Examination (Part 2)

After returning home, I felt really exhausted from the exams in the morning, and I felt even more exhausted when I thought about another exam in the afternoon.

No, I must eat something delicious now. Isn’t it said that when people are in a bad mood, eating something delicious will make them happy?

He took out a bowl of spicy hot pot, a basket of fried dumplings and a cup of milk tea from the space, then sat on the kang and started eating.

When I arrived at the class in the afternoon, the teacher was already sitting on the podium. I slipped into the seat when she wasn't paying attention.

Half an hour later, everyone was present. The teacher emphasized what he said in the morning again and then started distributing the test papers.

When I saw the contents of the test paper, the corners of my mouth twitched. I picked up the pen and began to "do the questions" seriously and hard. After half an hour of hard work, I finally finished the test paper.

This time, I didn't pretend to do the questions at my seat. Instead, I put away my pen and eraser and walked directly to the podium to hand in the test paper.

When the teacher saw that I handed in the test paper, he raised his eyebrows and said only one sentence: "Remember to pick up the report card tomorrow."

I walked out of the classroom and breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that the exam was finally over.

When I got home, I saw that it was still early. Thinking that it was the harvest season for cucumbers and peppers, I planned to go to the captain's house to buy some from Aunt Cauliflower to make garlic chopped peppers and pickled cucumbers.

Although these two dishes are planted in the space, I want to put them out in the open so that I don’t have to worry about being discovered when I’m eating them.

When I arrived at the captain's house, I saw Aunt Cauliflower washing vegetables in the yard, so I walked up to her, said hello, and told her the purpose of my visit.

Aunt Cauliflower wiped her hands with a cloth and said, "Xiaoxiao, you are always so polite. It's just some cucumbers and peppers. There are plenty in the vegetable garden. You can just pick them directly."

Although Aunt Cauliflower said so, I would not be so stupid as to listen to her and pick the fruits without paying.

Although cucumbers and peppers are not worth much money, for people nowadays, these vegetables can be used to fill their stomachs.

And I don't want to owe anyone a favor because of this. You know, the hardest thing to repay in this world is a debt of favor.

So he said, "Auntie, I want a lot of cucumbers and peppers. If you don't want to pay, I will go buy them from someone else."

Aunt Cauliflower smiled and said, "You are the one who knows how to handle things. Now I will take you to the vegetable garden in the backyard and pick as many as you want."

When I arrived at the vegetable garden in the backyard, I picked two baskets of cucumbers and two baskets of peppers with the help of Aunt Cauliflower. Since I didn't know the price of these vegetables, I simply charged them fifty cents per basket, which was just enough.

With the help of Aunt Cauliflower and her daughter-in-law, I carried the cucumbers and peppers back home. Since making pickled cucumbers requires sun exposure and it was too late today, I planned to make them tomorrow.

After putting the cucumbers into the space, I went to the kitchen, got a pair of scissors and started cutting the pepper heads.

It took more than an hour to finally cut off all the pepper heads. I washed the peppers in a large wooden basin and placed them under the eaves to drain the water.

Find five jars from the space, rinse them with hot water, and then dry them under the eaves.

I remembered that I forgot to buy the garlic for making garlic paste and chopped peppers, so I went to the captain's house again and bought five pounds of garlic from Aunt Cauliflower.

After I got home, I peeled the garlic and drained the moisture from the chili peppers. Then I took out a large manual garlic cutter from the space and started cutting the chili peppers and garlic.

After more than two hours of hard work, I finally managed to chop the garlic and chili peppers when my hands were about to cramp.

After mixing the chili pepper and garlic together, add salt and white wine and mix again. Then put it directly into a jar and seal it. The chili garlic sauce can be eaten after a week.
