Chapter 38 Settlement (Part 3)

Chapter 38 Settlement (Part 3)

Aunt Caihua thought about this and said, "Xiaoxiao, my family needs to replace four pairs of men's shoes and a bar of soap. How do you think we should replace them?"

After hearing what Aunt Caihua said, Lu Xiaoxiao said, "I bought these shoes with eight industrial tickets and six yuan, and the soap with two industrial tickets and one yuan and eighty cents. Don't count the tickets. Aunt Caihua, just see how much food you can get with the money."

Aunt Cauliflower smiled happily after hearing what Lu Xiaoxiao said. After thinking for a while, she said, "I'll exchange it for 50 kilograms of grits, 30 kilograms of sweet potatoes, 20 kilograms of potatoes, and 20 eggs. What do you think?"

Although Lu Xiaoxiao didn't know how the conversion was done, Aunt Cauliflower was not the kind of person who would cheat her, so she nodded in agreement.

When Lu Xiaoxiao saw Aunt Caihua pick up all her changed things and put them on the kang, she suddenly remembered that her shoes were size 43, and she didn't know if the people in Aunt Caihua's family could wear them. It would be embarrassing if they couldn't wear them.

So Lu Xiaoxiao quickly asked, "Aunt Cauliflower, these shoes are all size 43, do you think they will be too big or too small?"

Caihua Shen's smile widened after hearing what Lu Xiaoxiao said. She said to Lu Xiaoxiao, "They all fit. Even if they are too big, don't worry. Nowadays, few people have shoes that fit."

Lu Xiaoxiao felt relieved after hearing what Aunt Cauliflower said.

After packing up her things, Aunt Cauliflower asked her to wait for her, saying that she would go find some good friends to exchange the remaining things.

After more than ten minutes, Lu Xiaoxiao saw Aunt Caihua bringing three aunts who were about her age over.

Aunt Caihua pulled Lu Xiaoxiao to her side and began to introduce the three aunts to her. She said, "The one in the blue coat is your Aunt Yingzi, the one in the green coat is your Aunt Guihua, and the one in the black coat is your Aunt Yanzi."

After hearing what Aunt Caihua said, Lu Xiaoxiao called people in order. After hearing what she said, the three aunts praised her for her beauty, which made her blush and feel embarrassed.

Aunt Cauliflower saw that both parties had almost finished introducing themselves, so she said, "Xiaoxiao's things are all here, take a look and see what you want to exchange."

After hearing what Aunt Cauliflower said, the three of them looked at the things on the ground. Aunt Yingzi asked for a pair of rain boots and a pair of Liberation shoes, Aunt Guihua asked for a pair of Liberation shoes and two bars of soap and one bar of soap, and Aunt Yanzi asked for the remaining pair of rain boots and two bars of soap and two bars of soap.

Aunt Caihua saw what they were exchanging and thought for a moment before saying, "Xiaoxiao bought these shoes for eight industrial tickets and six yuan, and the soap for two industrial tickets and one yuan and eighty cents. How much is the soap?"

When Lu Xiaoxiao saw Aunt Caihua asking her the price, she quickly replied, "One industrial ticket and 80 cents."

Aunt Caihua nodded after hearing what Lu Xiaoxiao said, and then she continued: "Xiaoxiao doesn't count the tickets for everyone, just exchange the money for food, you can see what food you have at home and bring it over to exchange."

When the three heard what Aunt Cauliflower said, they all smiled delightedly, thinking that they had gotten a great deal, so they hurried home to get food.

While they were getting food, Aunt Caihua said to her, "These three people are all kind-hearted. You can hang out with them more often, so that you will have more people to help you in the future."

After hearing what Aunt Caihua said, Lu Xiaoxiao nodded and understood.

Soon the three aunts came back. Aunt Yingzi brought 40 kilograms of grits, Aunt Guihua brought 20 kilograms of grits and 20 kilograms of sweet potatoes, and Aunt Yanzi brought 30 kilograms of grits and 10 kilograms of potatoes.

After seeing what they brought, Lu Xiaoxiao said it was okay. Everyone was happy and they all went home happily with their things.

When Lu Xiaoxiao saw the five bars of soap left on the ground, she said to Aunt Caihua, "Can I exchange these five bars of soap for some vegetables? I only have grain but no vegetables now."

After hearing what Lu Xiaoxiao said, Aunt Caihua said, "The vegetables are worth a few dollars, just take them without changing them."

Although Aunt Cauliflower said that, Lu Xiaoxiao couldn't really do it. After some back and forth, Aunt Cauliflower finally agreed to exchange the soap for the vegetables, saying that she was getting a great deal.

When Lu Xiaoxiao saw a pile of grain on the ground, Aunt Cauliflower asked the eldest and third brothers of the Liu family to help her carry it back. She also carried a basket of cabbage and radishes and went along.
