After Zhang Xu finished his last phone call at around nine o'clock in the evening, he rubbed his swollen temples with his hands. Then he raised his head and looked towards the second floor. He saw that the light in the little girl's room was off, so he got up and walked upstairs.
The next morning at around seven o'clock, Lu Xiaoxiao washed up and came downstairs, and then she saw Zhang Xu sitting on the sofa reading documents, so she asked Zhang Xu: "Why didn't you go out today?"
"It's still early, and we can go out later."
"Well, have you had breakfast yet?"
"I have eaten. I have kept your breakfast warm in the pot for you."
After hearing what Zhang Xu said, Lu Xiaoxiao turned and walked towards the kitchen. When she entered the kitchen, she opened the lid of the pot. Then she saw two buns, a boiled egg, and a bowl of porridge in the pot.
So she took them all out of the pot and carried them out of the kitchen towards the dining table.
When she sat down at the table and prepared to eat, she heard a knock on the door. She asked Zhang Xu, "Do you have time to open the door?"
"Yes." After Zhang Xu finished speaking, he stood up and walked out of the house.
