At around five o'clock in the evening, Lu Xiaoxiao and her group walked out of the forest exhausted. Fortunately, Xiao Hei had dealt with most of the poisonous creatures in the forest before, otherwise they would not have been able to get out of the forest so smoothly.
"Boss, Gray Cat and I will drive the car over here." Seeing that they were almost at the parking place, Monkey said to Zhang Xu.
After hearing what Monkey said, Zhang Xu nodded, and then he let Monkey and Gray Cat drive away.
A few minutes later, Monkey and Gray Cat stopped the car in front of Zhang Xu, and then he said to Zhang Xu: "Boss, get in the car quickly."
"Okay." After Zhang Xu finished speaking, he got into the car with a group of people.
After everyone was seated, Monkey started the car and drove towards the city.
More than an hour later, the car stopped in front of the state-owned hotel. As there were too many people in their group, they divided into three groups to book rooms in the state-owned hotel.
It took half an hour for all of them to check into the room. However, they were all very tired at the moment, so they didn't talk much and went back to their rooms to rest.
The next morning, Lu Xiaoxiao woke up because she was hungry. She took the watch on the bedside and looked at it. It was already past eight o'clock, so she got up and went into the space to wash up.
After she finished washing up and came out of the space, she heard a knock on the door, so she walked to the door and opened it.
When she opened the door, she saw Zhang Xu standing at the door with breakfast in his hand, so she stepped aside to let Zhang Xu in.
After Zhang Xu entered the house, he put the breakfast in his hand on the dining table and said to the little girl, "Monkey and the others have gone out to collect gossip. I'm going to interview an elder in a while. You should come with me."
"No, you go by yourself. I want to stay in the state-owned hotel to study the poison. Maybe I can find a way to crack it."
"Okay, I'll bring you lunch at noon."
"No, there's a lot of food in my Qiankun bag. I can just eat what's inside."
"Okay, I'll leave first. We can talk when I come back if you have anything to say."
"I know. Go ahead."
After hearing what the little girl said, Zhang Xu gave her a few instructions and turned to walk out of the house.
Lu Xiaoxiao couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief after Zhang Xu left. She found that Zhang Xu had been tending towards being like his father recently, which was really a bit scary. She didn't know what was wrong with him.
Forget it, she didn't want to think about him anymore. Anyway, judging from his personality, it wouldn't last long, so she had nothing to worry about.
So she quickly finished the breakfast that Zhang Xu brought her, and went into the room where books were placed to look for books about poison.
More than two hours later, Lu Xiaoxiao finally found a book about Miaojiang in a corner, but the book was in tatters, and it was obvious that it had been there for who knows how many years.
If she hadn't found it today, its scholarly life would probably have come to an end.
Thinking of this, she looked at the book in her hand again, and then she carefully turned the book over, and saw that a lot of the words in it were blurry and she couldn't understand them, and her face immediately turned dark.
It seemed that her work today was doomed to fail, so she simply put the book in her hand on the desk, then walked out of the study and went to the pharmacy to help Zhang Xu prepare medicine for recuperation.
More than an hour later, Lu Xiaoxiao put the medicine she had prepared into the medicine bottle. Then she looked at the wall clock and saw that it was time for lunch, so she took out a seafood platter from the warehouse and ate it.
