After Zhang Xu fed Chen Guang and Liu Cheng each a bowl of hangover tea, he helped them to lie down in the guest room on the first floor. According to how drunk the two were, they would not wake up until night.
So he didn't plan to send them away now, but to wait for them to wake up and let them go home by themselves.
