Chapter 108: Wang Jie's Injury 1

Wang Jie stood on the street, the sun shining on him, but it couldn't warm his troubled heart at the moment.

He looked down at the disgusting wound on his arm, his heart filled with helplessness and pain.

After hesitating for a while, he finally took a step towards the Little White Building.

That wound seemed like an indelible mark of shame, constantly reminding him of the unhappiness in his life.

He was really fed up with it. Looking at it every day, he felt like a huge rock was pressing on his heart, making it hard to breathe.

The mocking words of his colleagues kept echoing in his ears, making him feel even more complicated.

Colleague A said, "It's not a serious injury. We need to see the new doctor."

Wang Jie smiled bitterly in his heart. How could they know the trouble this wound brought him?

Colleague B joked, "Wang Jie really doesn't know how to appreciate it. That's a man's medal!"

Medal? Wang Jie didn't think so. This wound would only bring him endless trouble.

Colleague C joked, "I heard the female doctors and nurses in the Little White Building are very beautiful. Could it be that Wang Jie is going after them?"

"Hahahaha, that makes sense." Colleague B agreed.

Colleague A couldn't stand it any longer and scolded them, "Could you two please put some normal thoughts into your heads for a day? This is all you know..."

Wang Jie shook his head, trying to get rid of these people's words from his mind.

They don't understand his pain at all. Only he himself knows how much impact this wound has brought to his life.

When he was at work, he had to cover the wound with cloth every day, and then find something like a rope to tie the cloth on the wound to prevent the leaking fluid from staining his clothes.

But even so, the clothes will still get dirty, and the binding is just better than nothing, just a psychological comfort.

He took a deep breath and looked up at the small white building.

The white building looked particularly quiet in the sunlight, as if waiting for his arrival.

The deserted little white building made him feel a little uneasy.

He didn't know whether the doctors inside could heal his wounds, nor did he know what was waiting for him.

But he knew he couldn't go on like this.

He longed to get rid of the trouble of this wound and live a normal life again. No matter what the outcome would be, the opportunity was in front of him, so he still wanted to give it a try.

So he walked towards the Little White Building with determination. Although his steps were a little heavy, they were full of hope.

When he walked into the small white building with trepidation, the smell of disinfectant hit him in the face.

The hall was very quiet, with only the nurse at the front desk busy.

After hesitating for a while, Wang Jie walked to the front desk and asked nervously about the treatment of his wound.

Haoyang was busy at the front desk. Upon hearing Wang Jie's inquiry, he quickly put down his work and said to Haoyang, "Mr. Wang, can you take a look at your wound?"

Wang Jie hesitated for a moment and said to Hao Yang, "Would you mind giving me a pair of scissors? I might also need a trash can."

Wang Jie’s words made Haoyang feel a little confused, but he quickly found a pair of scissors and a trash can.

After Wang Jie took the tools, he found a chair to sit down, put his things aside, and prepared to start treating the wound.

Then, he slowly rolled up his right trouser leg, and a wound wrapped in something like plastic wrap gradually appeared in front of Haoyang, with some light red liquid swaying inside.

Wang Jie rolled up his trouser legs above his knees, then stepped his injured foot into the trash can to prevent the tissue fluid inside from flowing everywhere when he untied the cable tie.

Looking at this scene, Haoyang couldn't help but frown. He dragged another chair aside and said, "Put your feet up here, give me the scissors, and I'll take care of it."

Wang Jie hesitated for a moment, but finally handed the scissors to Haoyang.

As the sharp scissors gently cut open the cable ties that fixed the membrane at the top and bottom, it was as if a mysterious seal was broken.

The liquid inside flowed along the curve of Wang Jie's calf into the trash can.

The capsule therefore lost its support and stuck softly to the wound.

The wound looked dark red underneath the whitish membrane, and the color was deep and strange, as if it had been eroded by the power of darkness.

Every black and red color seems to tell the story of the pain and suffering the wound has experienced, making people imagine what kind of torture this wound has suffered.

As the capsule was completely cut open, the hideous wound was completely exposed to Haoyang's sight.

The edges of the wound are slightly white due to being soaked in tissue fluid for a long time.

Haoyang looked at the hideous wound, and a complex emotion surged in his heart. He carefully cleaned the dirt around the wound with gentle movements.

"How did this wound become like this?" Haoyang asked while treating the wound.

Wang Jie was silent for a moment before he slowly spoke: "While on a mission, I accidentally bumped into something sharp. I didn't pay much attention to it at the time, but I didn't expect it to get worse."

Haoyang sighed slightly: "You have to be more careful in the future. After all, your body is your own."

Wang Jie gave a wry smile: "I didn't expect it to be so serious."

"It was just a little bleeding when I got hurt. I didn't care about it later because I saw that it wasn't bleeding anymore. I thought it would be fine in a few days. Who knows..."

Haoyang shook his head: "Why are you so careless? Didn't you get treatment after the mission was over?"

Wang Jie recalled the scene at that time and said, "There was no hospital in the strange world before, no place to treat wounds."

He paused, then continued, "If you're injured during a mission, you can simply go to the logistics department and get a healing potion upon returning to base and take it yourself."

Haoyang gently set the tools aside, staring at the cleaned wound. He frowned and asked, "So, whether it's oral or injected healing agents, they have no effect on you?"

Wang Jie nodded heavily, with a hint of worry in his tone: "Yes, it's not just me, many colleagues have encountered the same problem."

"Where we're on mission, getting injured seems to be a common occurrence, but every time we do, we can only rely on healing agents that have limited effects."

"Everyone is unsure about what they will face next time they get injured."

"Sometimes, looking at those wounds that take a long time to heal, it really makes people feel helpless and confused."

"We also long for better medical conditions so that we can receive timely and effective treatment after being injured."

"Instead of always worrying and waiting for the wound to heal on its own or relying on unreliable healing agents like we do now."

Haoyang nodded and said, "I found it. Don't move. I'll fill out your medical information and call the doctor over."
