Lin Lin pushed open the door of the conference room and walked into this quiet and mysterious space.
She glanced across the empty conference room, a hint of doubt welling up in her heart.
Did I arrive too early? Perhaps the meeting hasn't even started yet. Or perhaps I'm late and the meeting has already ended?
She pulled her cell phone out of her bag, turned on the screen, and checked the time.
The current time is clearly displayed on the screen: 08:49.
There were still ten minutes left until the meeting started as indicated in the mysterious letter.
Lin Lin breathed a sigh of relief, then found an empty seat and sat down, then looked around curiously.
At this moment, a tall figure quietly walked out of the secret door next to him.
The man's voice was deep and magnetic, breaking the silence of the conference room: "Welcome, Dr. Lin, to this meeting."
As she finished her words, the huge floor-to-ceiling windows in the conference room were gradually covered by a layer of pitch-black substance.
